Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present utility model relates to a large-sized sunshade awning for outdoor use, particularly, to an adjustable tension type of sunshade awning.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In general, the structure of a large-sized sunshade awning for outdoor use is that a tarpaulin covers on a frame which stands on the ground by means of four standing poles, so that it has a simple and fine appearance, and the wind can blow through from all directions. The drawback of the structure, however, is that it is difficult to stretch the tarpaulin on the top frame because of the manner of attaching the tarpaulin thereto and difficult to solve this problem even when the tarpaulin losses its tension, resulting in the sunshade awning as a whole losses its fine appearance while the using effect is affected.

The technical scheme of the present utility model for achieving its object is an adjustable tension type of sunshade awning, the adjustable tension type of sunshade awning comprises standing poles, standing pole bases, top poles and a tarpaulin, characterized in that each of four top poles is attached to a center joint at one end and to a standing pole at the other end so as to form the structural frame, a stretching device is provided at the end of the top pole which is attached to the standing pole, the stretching device is provided with a latch hook, and a steel cable passing through the hemmed edge of the tarpaulin is tied on the latch hook.

Said stretching device comprises a stopping block, a sleeve, a plugging end, a sliding block, and a locking screw, wherein the stopping block is fixed in the top pole with the thread formed therein, the plugging end is fixed to the outer end of the sleeve, the sleeve is clearance-fitted in the top pole with a longitudinal groove formed in its lower wall, the sliding block is fixed in the top pole and fitted to the longitudinal groove of the sleeve, the locking screw is engaged with the thread of the stopping block at its inward end and attached movably to the plugging end at its outward end, a hexagon-socket is formed on the outward end and a latch hook is formed in the plugging end.

In the structure where the locking screw can be attached movably to the plugging end, the locking screw is inserted into a hole of the plugging end, an annular groove is formed in the locking screw, and the head of a fixing bolt of the plugging end which passes through the plugging end is engaged with the annular groove.

The advantageous effect of the present utility model is that when a person finds the tarpaulin loses its tension, he can wrench the locking screw in the stretching device to make the sleeve pull tautly the steel cable outward in opposite direction in order to stretch the tarpaulin, and the tension of the tarpaulin can be kept by means of the self-locking action of the thread. The present utility model has the characteristics of simple structure, easy adjustment and good integration.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS

Reference will now be made in detail to the present embodiment (exemplary embodiments) of the invention, an example(s) of which is (are) illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers will be used throughout the drawings to refer to the same or like parts.

Referring to the drawings, the significant difference of the adjustable tension type of sunshade awning of the present utility model from the sunshade awning of the prior art in which the tarpaulin is fixed by means of the lateral poles is that the structural frame and the tarpaulin are attached with each other in tension by means of the steel cable and the stretching device, so that the sunshade awning of the present utility model has the characteristics of simple structure and good integration.

The adjustable tension type of sunshade awning comprises standing poles 1, standing pole bases 2, top poles 4 and tarpaulin 5, wherein standing pole bases 2 are attached to standing poles 1, each of four top poles 4 is attached to center joint 6 at one end and to standing pole 1 at the other end so as to form the structural frame, the stretching device is provided at the end of top pole 4 at which top pole 4 is attached to standing pole 1, the stretching device is provided with a latch hook, steel cable 14 passing through the hemmed edge of tarpaulin 5 is tied on these latch hooks, and tarpaulin 5 is attached and fixed to the structural frame by means of steel cable 14 and the latch hooks at the corners.

The stretching device comprises stopping block 10, sleeve 7, plugging end 3, sliding block 9, and locking screw 8, wherein stopping block 10 is fixed in top pole 4 with the thread formed therein, plugging end 3 is fixed to the outer end of sleeve 7, sleeve 7 is clearance-fitted in top pole 4 with a longitudinal groove formed in its lower wall, sliding block 9 is fixed in top pole 4 and fitted to the longitudinal groove of sleeve 7, locking screw 8 is engaged with the thread of stopping block 10 at its inward end and inserted into a hole of plugging end 3 at its outward end, an annular groove is formed in locking screw 8, the head of fixing bolt 11 of plugging end which passes through plugging end 3 is engaged with the annular groove so as to form the structure where locking screw 8 can be attached movably to plugging end 3, a hexagon-socket is formed on the outward end of locking screw 8 and a latch hook is formed in plugging end 3.

When the stretching device is used, locking screw 8 is wrenched with the hex wrench which is mated with the hexagon-socket while the head of fixing bolt 11 of plugging end which passes through plugging end 3 is engaged with the annular groove, stopping block 10 is fixed to top pole 4 and can not be moved, and sliding block 9 is fixed to top pole 4 and fitted to the longitudinal groove, therefore, sleeve 7 can not rotate, and locking screw 8 is forced to move outwardly, making sleeve 7 with plugging end 3 move outwardly also, so that tarpaulin 5 is stretched by steel cable 14 which is tied on the latch hook of plugging end and pulled tautly in opposite direction so as to achieve the final object. The adjustment scope for stretching tarpaulin 5 depends on the length of the longitudinal groove in the lower wall of sleeve 7.

While the preferred embodiment of the present utility model is described hereinbefore, it is apparent for those skilled in the art to make variations and modifications without departure from the principle of the present utility model, and the variations and modifications still belong to the scope of the present utility model for which protection is sought.

Other embodiments of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the invention disclosed herein. It is intended that the specification and examples be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope and spirit of the invention being indicated by the following claims.
