MAGNET EMBEDDED MAGNETIC DRAIN STOPPER

A sink stopper or plug assembly that incorporates an embedded magnet in its main body and includes a segregated magnet that is attached to the surface, rear surface, side, backside, topside or underside of a sink, basin, tub, bowl, bathtub, faucet or faucet deck plate at a convenient location for the storage of the stopper main body. The stopper configuration eliminates the need to use a chain to tether the stopper and provides for easy access when the stopper or plug is required to be utilized in the drain itself.

Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION Field of Invention

This invention pertains to drain plugs and stoppers, specifically to an improved embodiment for more efficient storage of said drain plugs and stoppers.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT FIGS. 1-2

FIG. 1 is a view taken from the user's front constructed in accordance with the invention. The invention comprises of the stopper or plug main body 10 and two magnets 12 and 13. The magnets can be of any type with the structure and strength to hold the stopper or plug in place. The preferred magnet is the earth magnet chosen for its superior strength and flat natural occurrence. The rubber stopper main body 10 is constructed of a rubber, polymer or such flexible material to accommodate a tight fitting into a drain hole. Finger-grip 11 is a part of rubber stopper 10 in its molded construction. The finger-grip 11 provides for ease of handling the rubber stopper in its placement into a drain opening and its placement for storage.

Magnet 12 is embedded into the molded construction of said rubber stopper. Magnet 1 3 is a segregated component and is applied to the surface, rear surface, side, backside, topside or underside of a sink, basin, tub, bowl, bathtub, faucet or faucet deck plate. Magnet 12 and magnet 13 are configured with opposite poles of the magnets facing one other in its applied placement.

FIG. 2 is an perspective view taken from the user's front bottom, showing the components as the stopper is cut in half. The said embedded magnet 12 is appropriately positioned during the construction process of the main body of rubber stopper and is positioned very near the bottom surface of the main body 10 however, totally enclosed into said main body. The segregated magnet 13 is a significant component of the invention unit however, it does not form an integrated part of said rubber stopper main body. The segregated magnet 13 is applied or attached to any suitable convenient area for storage of the rubber stopper or plug.

FIG. 3 shows an exploded isometric view of the magnetic drain stopper assembly with the addition of a sink, tub, bathtub, vanity, basin or such liquid container wall 16. The placement of the segregated magnet 13 is attached by an appropriate water proof adhesive or silicone and serves to act as the catalyst to attract the rubber stopper into its convenient designated storage location. Segment of rubber stopper 15 is a slice cut out of said rubber stopper which in its complete constructed state would cover said embedded magnet 12 in its entirety.

Claims

1. A storable drain stopper or plug comprising:

(a) a cylindrical truncated cone shaped rubber or synthetic rubbery substance main body of various conventional sizes and decorative embodiment,
(b) a magnetic material or magnetic substance embedded and encased in said main body,
(c) a segregated magnetic material or magnetic substance means for providing said main body to be drawn together with said segregated magnetic material or magnetic substance,
whereby when said main body is placed in proximity of the said segregated magnetic material said main body is attracted by magnetic forces to said segregated magnetic material and drawn into its storage position.
