Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a mini DV cassette storage carrying case having a plurality of portable and individual storage sleeves. More particularly, each individual storage sleeve has a storage divider for holding up to eight (8) mini DV cassettes, and each of the storage sleeves have attachment means for securing the storage sleeve within the mini DV cassette storage carrying case.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Storage cases, carrying bags, tote bags, activity bags, and utility bags and the like for carrying electronic equipment, various types of tapes such as DVD's, CD's, computer discs, audio cassettes, mini discs, etc. are well known in the art and are continually being changed, modified and adapted to meet the changing needs of users. Such carrying bags and storage cases are used daily by individuals traveling to school work, office, beaches, parks, vacations, business trips, etc., taking along various accessories and tapes, out of necessity, for convenience, or for relaxation and comfort, in order to have these necessary items for travel. Keeping such tapes, cassettes, CD's organized can be a nuisance but a necessity for “peace of mind”, in order for the user to know where the tapes and cassettes are being stored. Thus, the journey itself is often made difficult and unpleasant by the task of transporting disorganized, different sized cassettes, multiple electronic articles, which are not stored within predetermined storage compartment, sleeve within the storage carrying case.

There remains a need for a mini DV cassette storage carrying case having multiple portable and individual storage sleeves for holding at least eight (8) mini DV cassettes therein in order to have easy access to these mini DV cassettes when traveling. Further, it would be desirable to be able to use the separate and individual storage sleeves in other carrying bags such as a camcorder storage bag for portable use that again allows for ease of accessibility.

Operation of the Present Invention

As shown in FIGS. 1 through 8 of the drawings, the storage carrying 10 having multiple individual storage sleeves 80A, 80B and 80C for holding and storing a plurality of mini DV cassettes 12 therein operates in the following manner. The user initially unzippers the zipper member 72 from the closed zippered position P3 to the opened zippered position P4 (see FIGS. 2 and 3) in order to open the lid section 22 relative to the lower case section 44 from the closed position P1 to the opened position P2 (see FIGS. 1 and 3).

The next step has the user removing the trifold padding member 130 from the cover lid members 98 of the individual storage sleeves 80A, 80B, 80C, as shown in FIG. 3; allowing access by the user to remove one or more of the individual storage sleeves 80A, 80B, and/or 80C. The user now removes one or more of the individual storage sleeves 80A, 80B, 80C (see FIGS. 4 and 5 of the drawings) from the lower interior compartment 54 by pulling upwardly from the cover lid member 98 or by pulling upwardly using the storage sleeve strap 11%, as depicted in FIG. 3. This upwardly lifting movement detachably separates the hook and loop fastening 112a and 114a, and 112b and 114b, from each other; respectively, which allows the bottom sleeve wall 84 of each individual storage sleeves 80A, 80B and/or 80C to detachably disconnect from the lower bottom wall interior surface 45 of the bottom wall 44 of lower case section 42 in order to dislodge each of the individual sleeves 80A, 80B and/or 80C from within the lower interior compartment 54, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 of the drawings.

The user now is able to have access to each individual storage sleeve 80A, 80B and 80C, as depicted in FIG. 4, by opening the cover lid member 98 on each of the individual storage sleeves 80A, 80B and/or 80C. The user simply detaches the front cover wall 102 of cover lid member 98 from the exterior front cover wall surface 93 front sleeve wall 92 in order to detachably disconnect hook and loop fastening strips 108 and 110 from each other, respectively, in order to allow the cover lid member 98 to move from the closed position P5
