Skinning glove

The skinning glove consists of a full-handed, durable glove with hook or claw-like components or serrated components located on the fingertips and thumb tip of the glove. These hooks, claws or serrated components help to hold or pull the skin away from the carcass of the animal or fish being skinned to provide easier processing of the meat. The skinning glove is easy and convenient to use and lightweight to carry. The skinning glove is designed to be used by the avid outdoors person, taxidermists and the meat processing industry.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a view of the skinning glove palm side up with hook/claw, serrated components protruding from the fingertips and thumb tip attached with fasteners and a hook and loop strip is attached to the cuff of the said glove.

FIG. 2 is a side view of the attachment of the hook/claw, serrated component protruding from the fingertip attached with fasteners of FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a frontal view of an alternate design of the hook/claw component with one row of serrated teeth attached with fasteners on the fingertip.

FIG. 4 is a frontal view of an alternated design of the hook/claw component with two rows of serrated teeth attached with fasteners on the fingertip.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIG. 1, the hook-like, claw-like components 2 are shown attached to the fingertips and thumb tip of the glove 1 by way of fasteners 3, typically rivets.

The hook, claw-like components 2 at the fingertips and thumb tip have sharp, pointed elements designed for grasping and holding the carcass of an animal or fish for processing purposes.

Still referring to FIG. 1, the hook and loop strap 4 around the cuff of the glove 1, snugly secures the said glove 1 with strip of Velcro 5 to the hand.

In referring to FIG. 2, the hook, claw-like component 2 attached by way of fasteners 3 to the fingertip of the glove 1 shows the sharp single pointed element at a side view.

Referring to FIG. 3, the figure shows an alternate design of the hook, claw-like component 2 attached by way of fasteners 3 to the fingertip of the glove. This alternated design is a partial frontal view shown with a single row of sharp serrated teeth attached to the said glove 1 by way of fasteners 3 typically rivets.

Now referring to FIG. 4, the figure shows an alternate design of the hook, claw-like component 2 attached by way of fasteners 3 to the fingertip of the glove 1. This alternated design is a partial frontal view of the two rows of sharp, serrated teeth attached to the said glove I by way of fasteners 3 typically rivets.

Claims

1.) The skinning glove consists of:

a.) a full-handed, durable glove covering all four fingers and thumb.
b.) hook, claw-like, serrated components located on the fingertips and thumb tip of the said glove.
c.) fasteners, typically rivets, holding the hook, claw-like, serrated components, located on the fingertips and thumb tip of the said glove, in place.
d.) a strap sewn around the cuff of the wrist of the said glove.
e.) hook and loop strip attached to the cuff of the wrist area of the said glove to snugly secure the full-handed durable glove into place of the consumer's hand.

2.) The skinning glove as in claim 1 comprising of a main body including a palm covering portion and a back portion covering the back of the hand and a cuff enabling insertion of hand into the glove.

3.) The structure as defined in claim 2 has a hook and loop fastener attached to the strap of the wrist area which can be adjusted to snugly fit the hand of the consumer.

4.) The structure as defined in claim 2 has hook, claw-like, serrated components that protrude from the fingertips and thumb tip of the said glove. These components typically are fastened to the said glove in claim 1 by means of rivets or they can be sewn on.
