Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to an improvement on a wastebasket structure, more particularly one, which consists of inner and outer containers, and which allows cleaning tools such as plunger and toilet brush to be positioned therein.

2. Brief Description of the Prior Art

Domestic wastebaskets usually consist of a containing main body, and a lid. And, domestic wastebaskets with inner and outer containing members are also available, which are usually used in bathrooms. Furthermore, toilet brushes and plungers are usually placed next to wastebaskets in the bathrooms. Because toilet brushes and plungers aren't covered or positioned in any containers, stinking odor will escape from them if they aren't thoroughly cleaned after they are used. In addition, the toilet brushes and the plungers will occupy relatively much space in the bathrooms, which are usually relatively small, if they are positioned next to the wastebaskets.

Therefore, it is a main object of the present invention to provide an improvement on a wastebasket to overcome the above-mentioned problems; the wastebasket allows toilet brushes and plungers to be positioned therein, thus saving space as well as preventing stinking odor from escaping from the toilet brushes and the plungers.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The wastebasket of the present invention consists of an outer container, an inner container, and a lid. The outer container has a holding room therein, and an internal receiving hollowness for a plunger to be located on. The outer container further has an internal fitting cavity next to a border thereof, and a bearing member fitted in the internal fitting cavity, which allows a toilet brush to be located in. The inner container is held in the holding room of the outer container while the lid is positioned on top of the outer container. Therefore, when the toilet brush and the plunger aren't in use, they can be hidden in the wastebasket to save space and to prevent stinking odor from escaping as well as preventing foul water from flowing out.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention,

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention,

FIG. 3 is a partial perspective view of the present invention,

FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the present invention,

FIG. 5 is another sectional view of the present invention,

FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view of the second preferred embodiment, and

FIG. 7 is a sectional view of the second preferred embodiment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a preferred embodiment of a wastebasket 1 consists of an inner container 11, an outer container 12, and a lid 13.

The outer container 12 has a holding room 121 for holding the inner container 11. Furthermore, the outer container 12 has a receiving hollowness 122 for a plunger 2 to be located on. And, the outer container 12 has an internal fitting cavity 123 next to a border thereof, and a bearing member 124 is fitted in the internal fitting cavity 123 for a toilet brush 3 to be located in. The lid 13 has a gap 132 facing the fitting cavity 123 of the outer container 12 for holding a handle of the toilet brush 3; thus, the user can take the toilet brush 3 easily.

The outer container 12 has several internal supporting ribs 125 on a bottom thereof for supporting the inner container 11 and bearing the weight of the inner container 11 and garbage. Referring to FIGS. 3 to 5, the plunger 2 is located on the receiving hollowness 122 of the outer container 12 with its handle 21 being held in the outer container 12. The inner container 11 is positioned in the holding room 121 of the outer container 12, and stably supported on the supporting ribs 125. The bearing member 124 is located in the fitting cavity 123 of the outer container 12, and the lid 13 is positioned on top of the outer container 12 with the gap 131 right above the fitting cavity 123. And, the toilet brush 3 is located in the bearing member 124 with its handle 31 being received in the gap 131 of the lid 13; thus, the toilet brush 3 can be easily taken out of the wastebasket 1.

The above-mentioned plunger 2 is a short-handled one, and has single part. Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the wastebasket 1 of the present invention further has a gripping part 126 on a lateral side of the bearing member 124, facing an inner side of the outer container 12. The gripping part 126 is used for firmly holding a second separable handle part 21 of a long-handled two-sectioned plunger in position, which second handle part 21 has been separated from a first handle part securely joined to a main body 2 of the long-handled plunger for making the plunger ready for storage. And, the main body 2 of the long-handled plunger is located in the receiving hollowness 122 of the outer container 12.

Furthermore, referring to FIG. 1, the lid 13 has a shutter 132 pivoted thereto, and the inner container 11 has a handle 111. Therefore, people can open the wastebasket 1 and throw garbage into the inner container 11 easily, and the user is allowed to lift the inner container 11 out of the outer container 12 easily in order to dump the garbage held in the inner container 11.

From the above description, it can be seen that the present invention has the following advantages:

1. The wastebasket of the present invention has the internal receiving hollowness for holding a plunger. Therefore, a plunger can be located in the wastebasket, and stinking odor of the plunger is prevented from escaping.

2. The wastebasket has the internal fitting cavity, in which the bearing member is fitted for receiving a toilet brush. Therefore, a toilet brush can be hidden in the bearing member, and foul water on the toilet brush is prevented from flowing out to dirty the environment.

3. It will save space to use the wastebasket of the present invention because the wastebasket, the plunger, and the toilet brush together will occupy less space after the plunger and the toilet brush are positioned in the wastebasket. Therefore, the wastebasket is convenient to use.
