Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to tables, and particularly to a table for hiding a display, wherein not only the supporting force of the supporting arm is increased, but also the actions of the supporting arm and the table plate are interacted. Only one action of opening or closing the table plate, the display will move therewith or receive in the receiving space. The operation is easy and convenient.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Currently, displays are necessary devices to be placed on an office table or the tables for reading and writing. Generally, the display is not convenient to be moved and thus it is fixed on the table. As a result, a space of the table must be wasted. Furthermore, it is possible that the display falls down from the table due to the external force and as a result, it is destroyed.

To resolve above mentioned problem, in U.S. Pat. No. 6,609,465, a table for hiding a computer display is disclosed. In this patent, an adjustable suspending arm is connected to a display. The arm is installed with a pivoted joint for moving the display from a hidden place. However this prior art still has the following disadvantages.

Firstly, in use of the display, the table plate must be opened firstly and then the rotary ram is rotated for taking out the display. The operation is inconvenient.

Secondly, the wholly weight of the display is supported by the arm. The arm has many joints for adjusting the position of the display, while only one end of the display is fixed to the table. Thus, the strength of the whole structure is insufficient. For a long using time, the structure will be destroyed.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a table for hiding a display, wherein not only the supporting force of the supporting arm is increased, but also the actions of the supporting arm and the table plate are interacted. Only one action of opening or closing the table plate, the display will move therewith or receive in the receiving space. The operation is easy and convenient.

To achieve above objects, the present invention provides a table for hiding a display, comprising: a supporter; an openable table plate having a table supporting surface and a table bottom surface, the table plate being connected to the supporter by using pivotal units so that the table plate is openable and closeable with respect to the supporter; two supporting arms each having one end connected to a first joint which is further connected to the table bottom surface through linking bars; two extending arms; one upper end of each extending arm being connected to another end of a respective one of the supporting arms through a second joint and a lower end of each extending arm being connected to a third joint; when the table plate 2 is closed, the two supporting arms and two extending arms are hidden into the receiving space; when the table plate is opened, the supporting arms are extended by the pivotal effect of the first, second and third joints; and a carrying arm being pivoted to an upper end of each supporting arm; the carrying arm being connected to a display.

The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the table of the present invention is illustrated. The present invention has the following elements.

A supporter 1 is included.

An openable table plate 2 has a table supporting surface 20 and a table bottom surface 21. See FIGS. 4 and 5, the table plate 2 is connected to the supporter 1 by using pivotal units 22 so that the table plate 2 is openable and closeable with respect to the supporter 1. Two ends of the table plate 2 are connected to the supporter 1 by using a gas/oil pressure bar 23 so as to buffer the closing operation of the table plate 2. Thus the display connected to the table plate 2 will not be destroyed by dramatic vibration.

Two supporting arms 3 each has one end connected to a first joint 60 which is further connected to the table bottom surface 21 through linking bars.

Two extending arms 4 are included. One upper end of each extending arm 4 is connected to another end of a respective one of the supporting arms 3 through a second joint 61 and a lower end of each extending arm 4 is connected to a third joint 62. Referring to FIGS. 6 and 8, when the table plate 2 is closed, the two supporting arms 3 and two extending arms 4 are hidden into the receiving space 10. Referring to FIGS. 8 and 9, when the table plate 2 is opened, the supporting arms 3 are extended by the pivotal effect of the first, second and third joints 60, 61 and 62.

A linkage set 7 is pivoted to an upper end of each supporting arm 3. The linkage set 7 is connected to a display 5. Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the linkage set 7 includes a trapezoidal four linking rods which are pivotally connected. Thus by the extension or compression of the trapezoidal four linking rods, the distance between the display 5 and the table plate 2 is adjustable.

Referring to FIGS. 10, 11, another embodiment for the linking set 7 is illustrated. It is illustrated that the linkage set 7 is connected to a swingable arm 70′ through a button 71′. An end of the swingable arm 70′ far away from the linkage set 7 is connected to a display 5. The linkage set 7 serves to adjust the display 5 to move along the same elevation, and if the button 71′ is released, the swingable arm 70′ has the effect of rotating the display 5 to have different orientation so as to mach the requirement of users.

By above mentioned structure, when the display 5 is not used, it is hidden into the receiving space 10 so that the display 5 will not occupy the space of the table plate 2. Thereby the display 5 is well protected without falling down due to being touched by other people. Furthermore, one end of the supporting arm 3 is connected to the supporter 1 through the extending arm 4 and another end of the supporting arm 3 is connected to the table bottom surface 21. Not only the supporting force of the supporting arm 3 is increased, but also the actions of the supporting arm 3 and the table plate 2 are interacted. Only one action of opening or closing the table plate 2, the display 5 will move therewith or receive in the receiving space 10. The operation is easy and convenient.

The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
