Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present utility model relates to a stone edge grinding machine, which belongs to stone processing machinery.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

The existing stone processing equipments have large volume and heavy weight and they are quite inconvenient to be moved, so they are not suitable to be used in some operational occasions. Moreover, in the existing stone edge grinding equipments, the electric motors with grinding wheel are generally arranged above the stones to be processed, and this operation mode is especially easy to block the operator's sight line so that the operator can not see the processing condition clearly and this may affect the processing quality. The applicant applied for a utility model patent entitled with “A stone edge grinding machine” on Aug. 30, 2002, and the patent was granted on Jul. 30, 2003 under the patent number ZL02276310.4. Due to that the special structure that the rocking arm and bolt head are positioned below the processing plates, the patented product has a compact structure, light weight and convenience in moving, as well as the advantages in being light and handy, convenient to be observed.

But it still has some disadvantages: 1. It can not perform the all-periphery operation for processing 360° of the circumferential perimeter of plate stock; 2. It can not use a template in the processing.

DISCLOSURE OF THE UTILITY MODEL

The object of the utility model is to overcome the above defects in the structure of the existing stone edge grinding machines, and thus provides a stone edge grinding machine with modified structure.

To realize the above object, the utility model provides a stone edge grinding machine, including a bearing frame, a rocker arm system and a grinding wheel system, wherein: the said bearing frame comprises a base plate, a shaft fixed on the center of the base plate, a workbench connected fixedly to the top end of the shaft and a bracket mounted above the workbench in an order from bottom to top; the big end of rocker arm at one end of the said rocker arm system is sleeved rotatably on the shaft by a bearing, and the other end of the rocker arm system is joined with the grinding wheel system; the said grinding wheel system includes a grinding wheel and an electric motor with the grinding wheel mounted thereon. The electric motor is positioned below the grinding wheel.

As shown in FIG. 1, compared with the prior art, the utility model directly fixes the workbench to the upper end of the shaft, and removes the support for supporting the big end shaft of rocker arm and the workbench, thus the rocker arm system can rotate by 360° around the shaft and will not be blocked by the original support.

As another modification of the utility model in which a template is used, the grinding wheel system further comprises a central idler wheel which is positioned coaxially above the grinding wheel, that is to say, the grinding wheel is connected with the central idler wheel via a connector, and the connector is mounted to the shaft of the electric motor. Specifically, the central idler wheel is connected rotatably to the outer circumference of upper part of the connector through a bearing, and the grinding wheel is tightly fixed on the outer circumference of lower part of the connector through a screw nut; the inside of the said connector is formed with the screw thread engaged with the taper sleeve of the shaft of electric motor, and the lower end port of the said inside of connector is a conical surface matched with the taper sleeve of the shaft of electric motor. The connector is formed with a flange in the middle portion thereof to catch a spanner so that it may be mounted on the taper sleeve of the shaft of electric motor.

As shown in FIG. 2, the utility model introduces a central idler wheel, and when the grinding wheel rotates at a high speed, the central idler wheel rotates accordingly due to the friction force of the bearing. But the central idler wheel will stop its rotation as long as it is held by a resistance. When a template is used and the edges of the plats are grinded to a certain depth by the grinding wheel, the central idler wheel will bear against the edge of the template and then the grinding of grinding wheel is terminated, so that the circumference of plate will have the same shape as the template.

As another modification of the utility model without a template, side idler wheels are provided along the outer flank of the grinding wheel in a horizontal plane, and the side idler wheel may be one or two.

As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, side idler wheels are mounted at both sides of the grinding wheel. Since an edge grinding machine is a kind of rocker arm structure, the movement of the bolt head is controlled completely by the operator freely. Therefore, in grinding of peripheral perimeters of the plates, height fluctuations is easily produced in the peripheral perimeters of the processed plates without a template, this affects the regularity of the shape. The use of side idler wheels will facilitate to finely trim the height fluctuation to obtain a better appearance. Since the stone edge grinding machine can carry out the function that its bolt head rotate 360° around a vertical shaft, in use, a side idler wheel at either side bear against the edge of the plate to form a fulcrum, and then the handle is rotated slowly to make the bolt head rotate while the bolt head is drawn to move along the circumferential perimeter of the plate. Thus, the grinding wheel rotating in a high speed get contact gradually with the edge of the plate and grinding is performed slightly. Different grinding depth can be obtained by changing the strength of rotating the handle. In brief, depending on the side idler wheel, the operator can obtain a fulcrum in the processing so as to control the movement of bolt head more precisely.

In another modification of the utility model, the side idler wheel is connected rotatably with the top of a shaft which is fixed on a supporting arm and parallel to the shaft of the electric motor; and the supporting arm is fastened directly or indirectly on the base of the electric motor.

The advantages of the utility model include: The stone edge grinding machine provided by the utility model has a simple structure, convenience in operation and precision in processing. It can perform an all-periphery operation for processing 360° of the circumferential perimeter of plate stock and a template can be used in the processing.
