Long-haft bath brush

The present invention discloses a long-haft bath brush, which comprises a long haft and an elastic mesh hose. The elastic mesh hose is used to clean the body. The long haft further comprises a handle portion and an assemblage portion which has a clamp portion and a clamp plate. The clamp portion has an accommodation hole in the central region thereof. Two ends of the clamp plate are to be respectively press-fitted to two ends of the accommodation hole of the clamp portion. In assemblage, one end of the clamp plate is firstly connected to the clamp portion; next, the elastic mesh hose is placed between the clamp plate and the clamp portion; after the position and wrinkles of the elastic mesh hose are arranged well, the free end of the clamp plate is press-fitted into the clamp portion, and the elastic mesh hose is thus secured to the long haft.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bath product, particularly to a long-haft bath brush.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A wetted bath sponge or mesh sponge is usually used to sponge up bath lotion or bath soap; the lotion-containing elastic and porous bath sponge/mesh sponge is kneaded to accelerate the mixing of the lotion and air to generate plentiful foam. Soap or bath lotion is a surfactant and can effectively remove the oil or dirt they contact. When the bubbles of the foam increase and become finer, it means that the contact area between the foam and the dirt increases, and that the efficiency of removing the dirt also increases. After bathing, the water remaining in the porous bath sponge can be squeezed out; however, the dirt still remains inside the bath sponge. After a long time of usage, bacteria will grow inside the bath sponge, and the bath sponge will darken and stink. A mesh sponge is a meshed and wrinkled ball. The structure of a mesh bath sponge is looser than that of a cake of sponge, and the dirt inside a mesh sponge can thus be flushed with water.

A mesh sponge is usually integrated with a long haft to extend the cleared area and save user's energy. A conventional bath brush disclosed in a U.S. Pat. No. 6,910,242 comprises a haft and a mesh body. The haft has at least one assemblage hole, at least one assemblage element corresponding to the assemblage hole, and an accommodation space. The mesh body is placed in the accommodation space, and then the assemblage elements are inserted into and press-fitted with the assemblage holes to complete the assemblage of the bath brush. Another prior art is an “Improved Bath Brush Structure” disclosed in a U.S. patent Publication No. U.S. 2004/0205918, the structure of this patent is similar to that of the abovementioned patent except an assemblage plate, which has press-fit elements corresponding to the assemblage holes, replaces the assemblage elements of the abovementioned patent. The press-fit elements of the assemblage plate are inserted into and press-fitted with the assemblage holes to complete the assemblage of the bath brush. Both two prior arts can fix the mesh body to the long haft. However, their structures are complicated. Thus, the assemblage steps thereof increase, and the fabrication cost rises.

Further another prior art is a “Long-Shaped Bath Brush” proposed by the Inventor and disclosed in a U.S. application Ser. No. 11/415,124. Refer to FIG. 1. The long-shaped bath brush comprises a long-shaped body 1 and an elastic mesh hose 2. The body 1 has a handle portion 3 and a frame portion 4. The frame portion 4 has a clamp space 5 and a clamp plate 6 extending from the frame portion 4 to the clamp space 5. The mesh hose 2 sleeves the clamp plate 6 and is fixed in the clamp space 5. The long-shaped bath brush has a simple structure and is easy to assemble. Further, the design of clamping the mesh hose 2 with the clamp plate 6 can effectively secure the mesh hose 2 to the long-shaped body 1. The clamp plate 6 is strip-like object extending from the frame portion 4; only one end thereof connects to the frame portion 4, and the other end suspends. The mesh hose 2 is a soft material; after sleeving the clamp plate 6, the mesh hose 2 can be pulled and dragged to adjust its shape. However, as the mesh hose 2 has a thickness, the joint between the clamp plate 6 and the frame portion 4 will fatigue and finally fracture after a long time of usage.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a simple-structure and easy-to-assemble long-haft bath brush, wherein the elastic mesh hose can be effectively secured.

To achieve the abovementioned objective, the long-haft bath brush of the present invention comprises a long haft and an elastic mesh hose. The long haft has a handle portion and an assemblage portion. The assemblage portion has a clamp portion and a clamp plate. The clamp portion has a long-shaped hole, called the accommodation hole, in the central region thereof. Two ends of the clamp plate can be press-fitted to two press-fit portions at two ends of the accommodation hole. In assemblage, one end of the clamp plate is firstly press-fitted into one press-fit portion; next, the elastic mesh hose is placed between the clamp plate and the clamp portion; after the position and wrinkles of the elastic mesh hose are arranged well, force is applied to the free end of the clamp plate to press-fit the free end into the other press-fit portion; and the assemblage is thus completed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The technical contents of the present invention are to be described in detail in cooperation with the drawings below.

Refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 respectively an exploded view and a perspective view schematically showing the long-haft bath brush according to the present invention. The long-haft bath brush of the present invention comprises a long haft 10 and an elastic mesh hose 20. The long haft 10 has a handle portion 11 and an assemblage portion 12. The handle portion 11 has a slip-proof structure 111. The face having the slip-proof structure is defined to be the cleaning face 101, and the other face is defined to be the assemblage face 102. The assemblage portion 12 has a clamp portion 121 and a clamp plate 122. The clamp portion 121 has a long-shaped hole, called the accommodation hole 121a, in the central region thereof. Two press-fit elements 122a are respectively formed at two ends of the clamp plate 122. Two press-fit portions 121b are formed on assemblage face 102 and respectively at two ends of the accommodation hole 121a. Each press-fit element 122a has a press-fit terminal 122b and a press-fit tip 122c. Each press-fit portion 121b has a press-fit member 121c and a press-fit slot 121d. In assemblage, one press-fit terminal 122b is firstly placed into one press-fit member 121c; after the elastic mesh hose 20 is arranged well, the other press-fit terminal 122b is placed into the other press-fit member 121c; two press-fit tips 122c are then respectively press-fitted into two press-fit slots 121d to form a firm engagement; and the assemblage is thus completed.

Refer to FIGS. 4A to 4D exploded views schematically showing the assemblage process of the long-haft bath brush according to the present invention. In the assemblage of the long-haft bath brush, the clamp plate 122 is obliquely placed into the accommodation hole 121a, and only one press-fit element 122a is press-fitted into the press-fit portion 121b of the clamp portion 121, i.e. the press-fit tip 122c at the front of the press-fit terminal 122b is engaged to the press-fit slot 121d of the press-fit member 121c; at this time, the press-fit element 122a at the free end of the clamp plate 122 is above the cleaning face 101; the elastic mesh hose 20 is placed between the clamp plate 122 and the clamp portion 121; the position and wrinkles of the elastic mesh hose 20 are arranged to meet the required appearance; the press-fit element 122a at the free end of the clamp plate 122, which is originally above the cleaning face 101, is moved to the assemblage face 102; the press-fit tip 122c at the front of the press-fit terminal 122b is engaged to the press-fit slot 121d of the press-fit member 121c; thus, the clamp plate 122 is firmly installed in the clamp portion 121, and the assemblage of the long-haft bath brush is completed.

In addition to that the elastic mesh hose 20 is firmly clamped by the clamp plate 122 and the clamp portion 121, a plurality of tooth-like protrusions 122d is formed on the assemblage face 102 toward face of the clamp plate 122. The tooth-like protrusions 122d can penetrate the elastic mesh hose 20 to secure the position of the elastic mesh hose 20. Besides, a wave-like structure 121e and a plurality of protrusions 121f are formed along the perimeter of the accommodation hole 121a to further secure the elastic mesh hose 20.

In summary, the present invention proposes a simple-structure and east-to-assemble long-haft bath brush, wherein the press-fit elements 122a at two ends of the clamp plate 122 are connected to the press-fit portions 121b of the clamp portion 121, and then the press-fit tips 122c at the fronts of the press-fit terminals 122b are press-fitted to the press-fit slots 121d of the press-fit members 121c to secure the elastic mesh hose 20 firmly. Further, as the plurality of tooth-like protrusions 122d is formed on the clamp plate 122, and as the wave-like structure 121e and the plurality of protrusions 121f are formed along the perimeter of the accommodation hole 121a, the friction between the elastic mesh hose 20 and the long haft 10 is greatly increased lest the wetted and weighed elastic mesh hose 20 slip away from its position.

Those described above are the preferred embodiments to exemplify the present invention. However, it is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Any equivalent modification or variation according to the spirit of the present invention is to be also included within the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A long-haft bath brush, comprising:

a long haft further comprising a handle portion and an assemblage portion, wherein said assemblage portion has a clamp portion and a clamp plate; said clamp portion has an accommodation hole in the central region thereof; two ends of said clamp plate are to be connected to said clamp portion, and said clamp plate is to be positioned at said accommodation hole; two press-fit elements are respectively formed at two ends of said clamp plate; two press-fit portions are respectively formed at two ends of said accommodation hole of said clamp portion; said clamp plate is assembled to said clamp portion via engaging said press-fit elements to said press-fit portions; and
an elastic mesh hose installed between said clamp plate and said clamp portion.

2. The long-haft bath brush according to claim 1, wherein a wave-like structure is formed along the perimeter of said accommodation hole of said clamp portion.

3. The long-haft bath brush according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of protrusions is formed on said clamp portion.

4. The long-haft bath brush according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of tooth-like protrusions is formed on said clamp plate.

5. The long-haft bath brush according to claim 1, wherein said handle portion has a slip-proof structure.
