Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a paintball gun, and more particularly to a paintball gun provided with at least one widow and a transparent sleeve for locating troubles easily.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Paintball guns use high pressurized gas as the propeller to trigger a thimble to strike paint balls. As shown in FIG. 6, a conventional paintball gun A comprises a sleeve, a thimble and a rear lid disposed in a barrel A1. Another conventional paintball gun B, as shown in FIG. 7, comprises a sleeve, a thimble and a rear lid disposed in a barrel B1. The barrel B1 is formed with an open hole B2 to inlay a decoration plate B3. Both the aforesaid paintball guns have common shortcomings:

  • 1. The barrel is in a sealed design and made of non-transparent material, should the gun encounters mechanical problem, the entire body has to be disassembled to locate the trouble.
  • 2. High pressurized gas is stored in the barrel, if the thimble does not work properly, the maintenance person can not find the problem in advance until something happen.
  • 3. When problems occurred, the maintenance person can not predict what causes the problems.

Taiwanese Invention Patent No. 525773, and Design No. 113369 disclose open holes or circular holes provided at respective sides of a barrel. However, the holes are too small in size, the user still has problem to see through. Furthermore, the holes do not have any protection, dust or foreign objects may get in there easily and damage the paintball gun.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the above shortcomings, a paintball gun with a window design to monitor the interior of the paintball gun is provided, which comprises a barrel, said barrel being hollow and comprising a plurality of first circular grooves at an inner wall of said barrel, a first O-ring being provided in each of said first circular grooves, said barrel further comprising a loader at a front section thereof; a sleeve disposed in said barrel; a thimble disposed in said sleeve, a plurality of second circular grooves being provided on an outer surface of said thimble, a second O-ring being provided in each of said second circular grooves; a rear lid located at a rear end of said barrel, a plurality of third circular grooves being provided on an outer surface of said rear lid, a third O-ring being provided in each of said third circular grooves; and characterized in that said barrel is provided with at least one window and said sleeve is hollow and made of transparent material.

It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a paintball gun with a window design to monitor the interior of the paintball gun, which enables the user to monitor the interior of the paintball gun for any irregular function.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a paintball gun with a window design to monitor the interior of the paintball gun, which enables the user to monitor for any foreign objects and to take necessary process.

It is a further object of the present invention to provide a paintball gun with a window design to monitor the interior of the paintball gun, which makes the maintenance easier and faster.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a paintball gun 1 with a window design to monitor the interior of the paintball gun of the present invention comprises a hollow barrel 11, a sleeve 2, a thimble 3, and a rear lid 4.

The barrel 11 comprises two windows 12 and 13 at an outer side thereof and a plurality of first circular grooves 14 at an inner wall of the barrel 11. A first O-ring 15 is provided in each of the first circular grooves 14. A loader 16 is provided at a front section of the barrel 11.

The sleeve 2 is disposed in the barrel 11. The sleeve 2 is made of transparent material in a hollow design.

The thimble 3 is disposed in the sleeve 2. The thimble 3 is provided with a plurality of second circular grooves 31 on an outer surface of the thimble 3. A second O-ring 32 is provided in each of the second circular grooves 31.

The rear lid 4 is located at a rear end of the barrel 11. The rear lid 4 is provided with a plurality of third circular grooves 41 on an outer surface of the rear lid 4. A third O-ring 42 is provided in each of the third circular grooves 41.

To operate the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, when high pressurized gas enters into the barrel 11, the first O-rings 15 will be adapted to seal the barrel 11, preventing the high pressurized gas from leaking therefrom. After paintballs C are loaded from the loader 16 into the barrel 11, by means of the high pressurized gas entered into and then expelled outwardly therefrom, the thimble 3 in the sleeve 2 is in a constant reciprocal movement to fire the paintballs C, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. If the thimble 3 in the barrel 11 is malfunctioned or a malfunction caused disengagement of the second O-rings 32 from the second circular grooves 31, or the third O-rings 42 from the third circular grooves 41, or due to the insufficiency of lubrication, the user or maintenance personal may look through the windows 12 and 13 as well as the transparent sleeve 2 to locate the problems. Because the sleeve 2 is transparent, it is easy to do the necessary repair If is the problems are caused by foreign objects or disengagement.
