A game is provided. Such game includes a generally flat playing board manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size. Such playing board has predetermined indicia disposed thereon at a plurality of predetermined locations. A pointing device is included for traveling across such playing board and indicating at least one predetermined member of such predetermined indicia. Such pointing device has a second predetermined shape and a second predetermined size.

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This patent application is related to and claims priority from U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 60/983,689 filed Oct. 30, 2007.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates, in general, to games, and more specifically this invention relates to a game focusing on reincarnation and the possible past lives of players.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Prior to the conception and development of the present invention, games, as are generally well known in the prior art, have been used to amuse children and adults. Specifically of interest to the present invention are the following: J. Bond, U.S. Pat. No. 446,054, discloses a toy which requires users to ask questions and such questions are then answered by a pointer used and operated by the touch of the hand.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A game is provided. Such game includes a generally flat playing board manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size. Such playing board has predetermined indicia disposed thereon at a plurality of predetermined locations. A pointing device is included for traveling across such playing board and indicating at least one predetermined member of such predetermined indicia. Such pointing device has a second predetermined shape and a second predetermined size.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

It is, therefore, one of the primary objects of the present invention to provide a game which can be used to amuse a plurality of people playing with such game.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a game in which the chief object is for a user to gain information regarding a past life of such user.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide an easy to play with game having a board portion upon which predetermined letters, numbers, symbols, and the like are disposed and having a planchette or pointing device for pointing to such predetermined letters, numbers, symbols and the like thereby providing answers to questions vocalized by a user.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a device which may be utilized to bring families and friends closer together by providing a game which can be played with by numerous persons simultaneously.

An additional object of the present invention is to provide a game which provides opportunity to use imagination to create a fictional past from which a person has been reincarnated.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide a device which may be used as a medium through which a user may communicate with supernatural entities in an attempt to learn about such user's own past experiences.

In addition to the various objects and advantages of the present invention described with some degree of specificity above it should be obvious that additional objects and advantages of the present invention will become more readily apparent to those persons who are skilled in the relevant art from the following more detailed description of the invention, particularly, when such description is taken in conjunction with the attached drawing figures and with the appended claims.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view of the invention according to one embodiment of the invention in which indicia includes the alphabet, numbers 1 through 10, the symbols BC and AD, and several words and phrases.

FIG. 2 is a partial perspective view of the invention according to one embodiment of the invention illustrating how two people might rest their fingertips on the pointing device as such pointing device travels across the generally flat playing board.

FIG. 3 is a partial perspective view of the invention according to one embodiment of the invention in which the pointing device includes a plurality of castors disposed on a bottom side thereof.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF A PRESENTLY PREFERRED AND VARIOUS ALTERNATIVE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Prior to proceeding to the more detailed description of the present invention it should be noted that, for the sake of clarity and understanding, identical components which have identical functions have been identified with identical reference numerals throughout the several views illustrated in the drawing figures.

Reference is now made, more particularly, to FIGS. 1-3.

A game, generally designated 10, is provided. Such games 10 includes a generally flat playing board 12 manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size. Such playing board 12 has predetermined indicia 15 disposed thereon at a plurality of predetermined locations.

It is presently preferred that such first predetermined material is at least one of plastic, wood, metal, cardboard, and a combination thereof. It is presently most preferred that such first predetermined material is cardboard.

Such game 10 further includes a pointing device 14 for traveling across such playing board 12 and indicating at least one predetermined member of such predetermined indicia. Such pointing device 14 has a second predetermined shape and a second predetermined size.

It is presently preferred that such pointing device 14 is a planchette 16. It is further presently preferred that such planchette 16 includes a window member 18 disposed therethrough for framing predetermined members of such predetermined indicia 15. It is presently preferred that such window member 18 includes a transparent viewing area 22 manufactured from a second predetermined material and having a third predetermined shape and a third predetermined size. It is presently preferred that such third predetermined material is at least one of plastic and glass.

It is presently preferred that such planchette 16 is at least one of substantially triangular, substantially heart shaped, and substantially shield shaped. It is presently most preferred that such planchette 16 is substantially heart shaped.

It is presently preferred that such planchette 16 further includes a plurality of castors 24 disposed on a bottom side 25 thereof for supporting such planchette 16 upon such playing board 12.

It is presently preferred that such predetermined indicia 15 is at least one of symbols, letters, words, numbers, pictures, photographs, and a combination thereof.

It is presently preferred that such predetermined indicia 15 includes letters of a predetermined alphabet.

It is presently preferred that such predetermined indicia 15 includes the numbers 0 through 9 sequentially.

It is presently preferred that such predetermined indicia 15 is formed to illustrate at least one of at least one predetermined word, at least one predetermined phrase, at least one predetermined symbol, and a combination thereof.

It is presently preferred that such at least one predetermined word includes at least one of yes, no, oui, nein, regress, return, reincarnation, and a combination thereof.

It is presently preferred that such at least one predetermined phrase includes at least one of connecting with the force, force and light are now one, and a combination thereof.

It is presently preferred that such at least one predetermined symbol includes at least one of BC, AD, and a combination thereof.

It is meant that at least one user 21 of such game will place such pointing device 14 on such playing board 12 with a portion of such at least one user's hand 29 in contact with such pointing device 14 and such at least one user will ask questions. Such pointing device 14 will provide answers to such questions by at least one of pointing to such indicia 15, framing such indicia 15, and a combination thereof. Such device would be particularly entertaining for use with a group of people. It is meant that such pointing device 14 move across such playing board 12 via at least one of force exerted by such at least one user, force exerted by a plurality of users, nervous energy closely adjacent such pointing device 14, and a combination thereof.

According to another embodiment, a method of playing a game includes the steps of: providing a game including a generally flat playing board manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size, such playing board having predetermined indicia disposed thereon at a plurality of predetermined locations and having a pointing device for traveling across such playing board and indicating at least one predetermined member of such predetermined indicia, such pointing device having a second predetermined shape and a second predetermined size, placing such pointing device on such playing board, at least one player placing at least one fingertip on such pointing device, at least one player asking a predetermined question, at least one player moving such pointing device across such playing board to at least a first predetermined location.

It is presently preferred that such indicia is formed to illustrate at least one of at least one word, at least one phrase, at least one symbol, and a combination thereof and wherein such method further includes the step of a predetermined player moving such pointing device to at least one of such at least one word, such at least one phrase, such at least one symbol, and such combination thereof to indicate at least one of a time period which such player desires to discuss, a negative response, an affirmative response, an end to the playing session, and a combination thereof.

It is presently preferred that such method further includes the steps of at least one of at least one predetermined player and a plurality of predetermined players asking a plurality of predetermined questions, each of such questions resulting in at least one player moving such pointing device across such playing board such that such pointing device at least one of points and indicates a plurality of predetermined members of such predetermined indicia in a predetermined sequence such that such plurality of predetermined members of such predetermined indicia indicate at least one of a predetermined word, a predetermined phrase, a predetermined sentence, a plurality of predetermined sentences and a combination thereof in answer to such questions. For example, such predetermined indicia may include the words yes and no, thereby enabling a player to ask questions which can be answered by the pointing device traveling across the playing board to the word yes or the word no to indicate an answer to such question. Similarly, such playing board may include the alphabet disposed thereon thereby enabling the spelling of answers using such pointing device. Moreover, such playing board may include the numbers 0 through 9 disposed thereon thereby enabling dates and numbers to be easily indicated as answers to questions.

While a presently preferred and various alternative embodiments of the present invention have been described in sufficient detail above to enable a person skilled in the relevant art to make and use the same it should be obvious that various other adaptations and modifications can be envisioned by those persons skilled in such art without departing from either the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claims.

Claims

1. A game comprising:

a. a generally flat playing board manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size, said playing board having predetermined indicia disposed thereon at a plurality of predetermined locations; and
b. a pointing device for traveling across said playing board and indicating at least one predetermined member of said predetermined indicia, said pointing device having a second predetermined shape and a second predetermined size.

2. A game according to claim 1 wherein said pointing device is a planchette.

3. A game according to claim 2 wherein said planchette includes a window member disposed therethrough for framing predetermined members of said predetermined indicia.

4. A game according to claim 3 wherein said window member includes a transparent viewing area manufactured from a second predetermined material and having a third predetermined shape and a third predetermined size.

5. A game according to claim 4 wherein said third predetermined material is at least one of plastic and glass.

6. A game according to claim 2 wherein said planchette is at least one of substantially triangular, substantially heart shaped, and substantially shield shaped.

7. A game according to claim 6 wherein said planchette is substantially heart shaped.

8. A game according to claim 2 wherein said planchette further includes a plurality of castors disposed on a bottom side thereof for supporting said planchette upon said playing board.

9. A game according to claim 1 wherein said first predetermined material is at least one of plastic, wood, metal, cardboard, and a combination thereof.

10. A game according to claim 2 wherein said first predetermined material is cardboard.

11. A game according to claim 1 wherein said predetermined indicia includes at least one of symbols, letters, words, numbers, pictures, photographs, and a combination thereof.

12. A game according to claim 1 wherein said predetermined indicia includes letters of a predetermined alphabet.

13. A game according to claim 1 wherein said predetermined indicia includes the numbers 0 through 9 sequentially.

14. A game according to claim 1 wherein said predetermined indicia is formed to illustrate at least one of at least one predetermined word, at least one predetermined phrase, at least one predetermined symbol, and a combination thereof.

15. A game according to claim 14 wherein said at least one predetermined word includes at least one of yes, no, oui, nein, regress, return, reincarnation, and a combination thereof.

16. A game according to claim 14 wherein said at least one predetermined phrase includes at least one of connecting with the force, force and light are now one, and a combination thereof.

17. A game according to claim 14 wherein said at least one predetermined symbol includes at least one of BC, AD, and a combination thereof.

18. A method of playing a game comprising the steps of:

a. providing a game including;
i. a generally flat playing board manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size, said playing board having predetermined indicia disposed thereon at a plurality of predetermined locations;
ii. a pointing device for traveling across said playing board and indicating at least one predetermined member of said predetermined indicia, said pointing device having a second predetermined shape and a second predetermined size;
b. placing said pointing device on said playing board;
c. at least one player placing at least one fingertip on said pointing device;
d. at least one player asking a predetermined question; and
e. at least one player moving said pointing device across said playing board to at least a first predetermined location.

19. A method of playing a game according to claim 18 wherein said predetermined indicia is formed to illustrate at least one of at least one word, at least one phrase, at least one symbol, and a combination thereof and wherein said method further includes the step of a predetermined player moving said pointing device to at least one of said at least one word, said at least one phrase, said at least one symbol, and said combination thereof to indicate at least one of a time period which such player desires to discuss, a negative response, an affirmative response, an end to a playing session, and a combination thereof.

20. A method of playing a game according to claim 18 wherein said method further includes the steps of asking a plurality of predetermined questions each of such question resulting in at least one player moving said pointing device across said playing board such that said pointing device at least one of points and indicates a plurality of predetermined members of said predetermined indicia in a predetermined sequence such that said plurality of predetermined members of said predetermined indicia indicates at least one of a predetermined word, a predetermined phrase, a predetermined sentence, a plurality of predetermined sentences and a combination thereof in answer to such questions.
