File folder with individual holding units
A file folder includes a rail member fixed to the connection portion of the file folder and the rail member includes a plurality of ribs extending from a surface thereof so as to define grooves between the ribs. The grooves communicate with openings in a top end and a lower end of the rail member. Each rib has a head on a distal end thereof and the head is wider than a width of the rib so as to form a narrow entrance corresponding to each groove. A holding unit has an elongate insertion which includes an enlarged ridge on a side thereof so as to be slidably inserted into the grooves via the openings and the insertion is sized to be slidably engaged with the narrow entrance. Document is positioned or collected by the holding unit.
The present invention relates to a file folder with individual holding units which are slidably connected to the file folder and can be removed from the folder individually.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONA conventional file folder generally includes a front cover, a back cover and a connection portion which connects the front cover and the back cover side by side. Document is received between the front and back covers. However, the document easily slips out from the file folder so that some manufacturers install plastic pockets to the file folder and the document can be received in the pockets. When using the document, the user has to pull the document from the pockets and the sheets of the document are not well positioned and easily blown away. After the document is used, the sheets have to be organized and put into the pocket and this may require a lot of time.
The present invention intends to provide a file folder which includes individual file holding units which are able to be removed from the file folder individually and to collect the sheets of document by fasteners.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a file folder which comprises a front cover, a back cover and a connection portion which is connected between two ends of the front cover and the back cover. A rail member is fixed to the connection portion and includes a plurality of ribs extending from a surface thereof so as to define grooves between the ribs. The grooves communicate with openings in a top end and a lower end of the rail member. Each rib has a head on a distal end thereof and the head is wider than a width of the rib so as to form a narrow entrance corresponding to each groove. A holding unit has an elongate insertion which includes an enlarged ridge on a side thereof and the enlarged ridge is sized to be entered into the opening and the insertion is sized to be slidably engaged with the narrow entrance.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
Referring to
A holding unit includes an elongate insertion 3 and two side plates 32, wherein an enlarged ridge 31 is formed on a side thereof an the two side plates 32 extend from the other side of the insertion 3. The two side plates 32 are flexible and can be pivoted toward each other as shown in
Document composed of sheets 4 are located between the two side plates 32 and the first fasteners 321 extend through holes in the sheets 4 and are engaged with the second fasteners 322 to position the sheets 4. The holding unit is connected to the rail member 2 by inserting the enlarged ridge 31 into the groove via the opening 23 in either the top end of the lower end of the rail member 2. The user can remove the holding units individually from the rail member 2.
While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the, scope of the present invention.
