Maintain hairstyle by raising the head from the surface or object while lying down or sitting whereas the head would normally rest.

The following invention is a head and neck riser. A riser may be considered as an object which sustains one's head from any surface which it may rest upon. It allows the neck to remain fully supported as the head is elevated from all surfaces as the body remains in an upright or rested position. Although the riser maybe used to support the neck, it is best described as an object which may maintain any styling of the hair by elevating the head and allowing one to sleep, travel or rest without his or head ever touching the surface of any bed, chair, or other object with a flat surface that maybe used in an effort to rest. The riser can be used to give support in any head area, yet when you lie on your side or stomach, you may rest your head using your cheek, lower jaw area, or any comfortable area of the face as long as breathing is not impaired.

The present invention is to be considered a head and/or neck riser made from the following products:

Foam Rubber

Batting

Satin/Satin like material

Ribbon

The foam of a length as desired by the manufacturer is to be covered with a satin material or satin like material of preference. Two pieces of foam are to be created as to successfully create a riser. The first is to be half the length of the largest piece of foam as it is to sit atop the larger foam. Simply, the larger piece of foam is to be folded at the middle to create a V-shape as the second is to be sewn atop of it horizontally (across) the V-shape. It is this shape that provides the support for the consumer's neck while allowing the head to be elevated from all surfaces.

All materials are to be sewn and assembled as described in the following paragraph. Both foam rubber materials are to be measured according to length and circumference. The satin or satin like cloth material is to be sewn to fit each, leaving the ends of each to be sewn closed. The end result is two tubular shapes. The longest piece of foam material is to be folded in a V-shape in which the ends are to have satin, ribbon and or not limited to satin like material sewn to each. The end result is that the satin, ribbon, and or not limited to satin like material creates a ban, which may be adjusted that maintains the opening of foams v-shape. The shorter foam rubber is to be sewn horizontally across the shape. The end result is a shape of a capital letter A. The v-shape is the base, the shorter that rest atop it is support for the neck, and together they make the riser.

The overall objective of a riser is to maintain hairstyling and/or any look that may present on the head or face. The satin/or satin like material is best suited. Due to cotton and many other materials being very absorbent of oil and other matter, it is found that satin is best suited to maintain the natural oils of hair. The end result is the riser is constructed with a v-shaped base that lies flat on any surface with the vortex of the v-shape positioned at the nape of the neck. The foam shape that sits atop the base is the support for the consumer's neck. Due to the positioning of this piece atop the base, the riser has height which refrains the head from touch the surface in which the consumer's torso and remaining body may lay. All these components create the riser. The measurements and materials maybe adjusted in size and texture depending on desires of the manufacturer, which do not change the original patent and objective of riser.

FIG. 1 shows the overall invention, the base being the V shaped roll at the bottom. The compressed foam inside is compressed to desired fullness; it is covered with satin or satin like, cloth material. Each end is closed and the adjustable straps are connected to the ends of the V shaped base.

FIG. 2 shows the tip view of the invention, outlining how the adjustable strap is adjusted by decreasing the space between the V shaped base. The straps can be either tied or used with an adjustable apparatus that will decrease, or increase the space inside the V shape of the base.

FIG. 3 shows the side view of the invention; it outlines how the riser sits atop of the base. It shows where it actually connects to the base riser. The top riser sits across the V shape; it now has the appearance of a capital A. It is either attached or can be separated and used alone, using either piece, and attaching the top riser to the bottom V shaped base, by satin or satin like elastic or connected by straps tied to the bottom base, but not limited to these before mentioned connections. I prefer the riser as one unit, instead of being separated.

FIG. 4 shows the riser looking from the ends of the base. This outlines how the base has the adjustable straps and the space between the ends of the V-shaped base.
