Cover for Solid Finishing Device for Garments

It is an object of this invention to prevent the garments from being removed or displaced in position by increasing a contact friction with the garments and to improve a finished state of the garments. This invention is a cover used to be put on the iron plates 3 of the solid finishing device for garments 1 formed by comprising the torso 2 on which the garments 1 are put and the iron plates 3 installed near the torso 2. The cover of this invention is made such that the part 5 contacted with the aforementioned garments 1 is formed by a cloth 6 having many hard bristles 6a. In the case of this invention, the type or the orientation (vertical orientation or lateral orientation) of the iron plates 3 and the orientation of the bristles 6a are optional.

Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

This invention relates to a cover for solid finishing device for garments as clothes for laundry. More particularly, this invention relates to a cover for solid finishing device for garments used while being put on iron plates and the like for pressing garments such as white-shirts, jackets or trousers and the like, for example.

2. Description of Related Art

As the solid finishing device for garments in the prior art, there has been provided a system already described in the gazette of U.S. Pat. No. 7,370,778, for example. In the prior art, there has been usually applied a cover that is used while being put on the iron plates of this type of device in which the cover is made of cloth such as polyester and the like, for example, and its entire shape is formed into a flat and smooth state.

Accordingly, in the case of the prior art device, there has been frequently found that when either hot air or hot steam was blown off from lower part into the garments put on a torso, the skirt portions of the garments were lapped and were moved away from the torso. In particular, in the case of small-sized jackets, they showed a problem that its skirt portions were lapped and were easily moved away from the torso with the result that the jackets could not be finished neat because its contact surface with the cover was small as compared with the jackets having a large contact area with the cover.

In addition, as already been described in the aforementioned document, the solid finishing device for garments sometimes showed a tendency that the torso was slightly lifted up so as to remove wrinkles at the body of garments after the skirt portions of the garments put on the torso were fixed with a skirt presser.

In this case, the prior art cover was formed by a flat and smooth cloth as described above, so that its contact friction between the cover put on the vertical-oriented iron plates and the garments was small. Accordingly, there occurred frequently in this type of finishing device that even if the skirt portions of the garments were fixed, the skirt portions were pulled upward with the result that they could not be finished neat.

Additionally, as the prior art device for finishing the trousers of the garments, there has already been known to provide a system described in the gazette of U.S. Pat. No. 7,017,786, for example. This finishing device is operated such that the waist portion of the trousers is put on the set part from below the set part, the skirt portions are pulled down under a state in which the tuck at the waist is being pressed by the presser iron plates to finish the trousers in tension.

In the case of this type of prior art device, the aforementioned covers installed at the presser iron plates were usually set such that their entire bodies were formed by flat and smooth cloth in the same manner as that of the device having a torso.

Accordingly, in the case that the trousers were finished with this type of device, when the lower end portions of the trousers were retracted downwardly, the waist part of the trousers was easily drawn downwardly from the set part. As a result, there occurred a problem that when prior art product was used, the trousers could not be finished neat.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

This invention has been devised in view of the prior art circumstances.

Accordingly, the technical problem to be solved by this invention is to provide a cover for solid finishing device for garments formed in such a way that the garments are prevented from being displaced or their positions are prevented from being shifted by increasing the contact friction with the garments and the finished state of the garments can be set well.

In order to solve such problems as above, this invention has employed such technical means as follows.

That is, as shown in FIG. 1 and the like, this invention relates to a cover of a solid finishing device for garments used while being put on said iron plates of the solid finishing device for garments formed by comprising a torso on which garments are put on and said iron plates installed near the torso characterized in that a part contacted with said garments is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes. In this case, as the iron plates, there have been provided a system in which they are installed vertically at the front part and rear part of the torso or both side portions of the torso or they are installed at the upper portions of the supporting arms at both sides of the torso in a lateral orientation in order to insert the cuffs of shirts and set them. In the case of this invention, although the bristles are usually arranged such that resin fibers and the like are planted on a base cloth, their forming manner is optional. It is preferable that the bristles are formed in such a way that they may be of a heat-resistant characteristic to endure against heat of hot air and steam.

Further, in the case of this invention, it is sufficient that the portion contacted with the garments is formed at least by a cloth as described above and accordingly it may also be applicable that a system having the bristles arranged to exceed the portions contacted with the garments is used.

Thus, the cover of this invention is practically realized in the finishing device shown in FIG. 1 and the like.

That is, this invention relates to a cover of a solid finishing device for garments used while being put on iron plates of the solid finishing device for garments formed by comprising a torso on which garments are put on and said iron plates installed vertically near the torso characterized in that a part contacted with said garments is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes and the bristles of the cloth are inclined downwardly. In this case, the structure of bristles or their characteristics and meaning of the portions contacted with the garments are the same as those of the aforementioned example. Angles of the bristles in the case of this invention are optional if the bristles are faced downwardly. In the case of this invention, when the torso is slightly lifted up to remove wrinkles by tensioning the body part of the garments, for example, an orientation of the bristles becomes reverse in respect to the moving direction of the garments ascending together with the torso (see an arrow in FIG. 5). As a result, in accordance with this invention, it is possible that the tip ends of the bristles cut into fibers and the contact friction with the garments is further increased to prevent a positional displacement of the garments from being carried out.

In addition, as the cover of this invention, there is provided a cover applied to the device shown in FIG. 6 and the like.

That is, the product of this invention relates to a cover of a solid finishing device for garments used while being put on presser iron plates of the solid finishing device for garments formed by comprising a set part used for putting on the waist part of the trousers of garments from below and fixing it, presser iron plates for pressing the tuck of the waist part of the trousers hung at the set part, and dampers for drawing the skirts of the trousers having tucks pressed with the presser iron plates downwardly to apply a tension to the trousers characterized in that a part contacted with the trousers of said garments is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes. Also in the case of this invention, meanings of a structure or characteristic of bristles, and the part contacted with the garments or the like are the same as those in the above example. In the case of the product of this invention, when the dampers slightly descend to draw the skirt portions of the trousers downwardly, the contact friction between the waist part of the trousers and the cover increases. Accordingly, in accordance with this arrangement, it is possible to prevent a positional displacement of the trousers of garments and to finish the trousers neat.

Thus, in the case of this invention, it is preferable that the bristles are inclined upwardly. (Claim 4)

Because, in this case, when the dampers slightly descend to draw the skirt portions of the trousers of garments, a moving direction of the skirt portions of the trousers (see the arrow mark in FIG. 9) and the orientation of the bristles in the cover become opposite to each other, the tip ends of the bristles cut into the fiber at the waist part of the trousers, the contact friction becomes more large to enable the positional displacement of the trousers to be prevented more positively.

The cover of this invention is made such that the part contacted with the garments in this way is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes.

Accordingly, in accordance with the cover of this invention, the contact friction with the garments increases to enable the garments to be prevented from being removed and to be prevented from being displaced in position with the result that it may contribute to an improvement of the finished state of the garments.

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The best mode for carrying out this invention will be described as follows.

In FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 or the like, 1 denotes a jacket as garments, 2 denotes a torso on which this garments 1 is put. In addition, 3 denotes iron plates installed vertically in this preferred embodiment near the torso 2.

The iron plates 3 are practically constituted by a pair of front and rear skirt pressers 3a installed at the front part and the rear part of the torso 2 so as to press and fix the front and rear skirts of the garments 1 against raised pads 4, and side pressers 3b installed at both sides of the torso so as to push and widen both skirts of the garments 1 and apply tension to the side portions of the garments.

The cover of this invention is used while being put on the aforementioned iron plates 3, portions 5 contacted with the aforementioned garments 1 are formed by a cloth 6 having many hard bristles 6a like brush. The bristles 6a in this preferred embodiment are made such that heat-resistant resin fibers are planted in a downward inclined state.

As shown in FIG. 3, the product of this invention is made such that a string 8 is passed through an elongated bag-like string passing part 7 at its peripheral part, for example, this string 8 is bound to cause the product to be fixed to iron plates 3 in such a way that it can be freely replaced.

Thus, since the product of this invention in accordance with this preferred embodiment is constituted as described above, when the torso 2 is slightly lifted up under a state in which the skirts of the garments 1 are pressed against the pad 4 by a pair of front and rear skirt pressers 3a in order to remove wrinkles at the body part of the garments 1, an orientation of the bristles 6a becomes opposite against a moving direction (an arrow direction in FIG. 5) of the garments 1 moved together with the torso 2.

Accordingly, in the case of the product of this invention, the tip portions of the bristles 6a may act to resist against a motion of the garments 1, cut into the fibers of the garments 1, for example, and then a contact friction with the garments 1 increases. As a result, in accordance with this arrangement, it is possible to prevent a positional displacement of the garments 1 in an upward direction and to apply a tension to the body part, so that the garments 1 can be finished neat.

With the arrangement described above, the type and embodiment of the aforementioned iron plates 3 and the orientation of the bristles 6a in this invention are not limited to the aforementioned example. That is, in the case of this invention, the iron plates 3 are not limited to the aforementioned skirt pressers 3a or side pressers 3b and they may be installed in a lateral orientation, for example. Additionally, the bristles 6a may be planted vertically, for example, in the base cloth of the cloth 6.

Next, referring to FIGS. 6 to 9, one preferred embodiment of the product of this invention in accordance with claims 3 and 4 will be described as follows. The same members and same locations as those of the aforementioned example are denoted by the same reference numerals and their detailed description will be eliminated.

In FIG. 6 and the like, 9 denotes a set part used for putting on the waist part of the trousers of the garments 1 from below and fixing it. This set part 9 is formed while being provided with an expansion bag 10 for finishing in tension of the waist part of the trousers.

Reference Numeral 11 denotes a presser iron plates for pressing the tuck of the waist part of the trousers of the garments 1 hung at the set part 9. As shown in FIG. 7, the presser iron plates 11 are set such that a pair of right and left presser iron plates 11 as viewed from the front surface of the finishing device are installed at both sides of the set part 9. In addition, 12 denotes a clamper for use in applying a tension to the trousers while drawing the skirts of the trousers downwardly in which the tuck is pressed by the presser iron plates 11. Further, 13 denotes a front presser for use in fixing the front central part of the waist band of the trousers, and 14 denotes a tractive mechanism for use in tracting the waist part of the trousers in a rearward direction.

The finishing device of this preferred embodiment is operated such that the front central part of the waist band of the trousers is fixed with the aforementioned front presser 13, the rear side of the waist part of the trousers is tracted rearwardly by the tractive mechanism 14 under a state in which the tuck of the waist part is pressed by the presser iron plates 11 and at the same time the skirts of the trousers are drawn downwardly with the clamper 12 and the waist part of the trousers is finished in tension by the aforementioned expansion bag 10.

The product of this invention is used while it is put on the aforementioned presser iron plates 11. In FIG. 6B, 5 denotes a part contacted with the trousers of garments 1. This part 5 is formed by a cloth 6 having many hard bristles 6a like brushes.

The bristles 6a of the cloth 6 are inclined upwardly in this preferred embodiment. In addition, the bristles 6a in this preferred embodiment are installed such that the heat-resistant resin fibers are planted in the base cloth of the cloth 6.

As shown in FIG. 6A, the product of this invention of the preferred embodiment is made such that its peripheral part is formed as a bag-like string passing part 7 and the product is fixed to the presser iron plates 11 with the string 8 passed through the string passing part 7.

Thus, in the case of this invention, when the product descends under a state in which the dampers 12 hold the skirts to draw the skirts of the trousers of the garments 1 slightly downward, the moving direction of the skirts of the trousers (the arrow direction in FIG. 9) and the orientation of the bristles 6a become opposite to each other.

Accordingly, in the case of this invention, the tip portions of the bristles 6a act to resist against a motion of the trousers, the tip portions of the bristles cut into the fibers at the waist part, for example, and the contact friction increases. As a result, in accordance with the product of this invention, it is possible to prevent the waist part of the trousers from showing a downward positional displacement, the trousers can be positively tensioned and it is possible to finish the trousers neat.

With the foregoing arrangement, in the case of this type of finishing device for the trousers, the cover used while being put on the set part 9 may be constituted as illustrated in the above example as shown in FIG. 10 in place of the cover at the presser iron plates 11 or together with the cover at the presser iron plates 11. In this figure, 5 denotes a part contacted with the garments 1 and 6 denotes a cloth having many hard bristles 6a like brushes.

In this case, it is preferable that the bristles 6a are inclined upwardly in the same manner as above. A reason why this state occurs consists in the fact that not only the contact friction with the trousers increases, but also resistance with the bristles 6a decreases when the trousers are inserted to the set part 9 from below and set there, resulting in that its setting becomes easy.

Claims

1. A cover of a solid finishing device for garments used while being put on iron plates of the solid finishing device for garments formed by comprising a torso on which garments are put on and said iron plates installed near the torso characterized in that a part contacted with said garments is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes.

2. A cover of a solid finishing device for garments used while being put on iron plates of the solid finishing device for garments formed by comprising a torso on which garments are put on and said iron plates installed vertically near the torso characterized in that a part contacted with said garments is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes and the bristles of the cloth are inclined downwardly.

3. A cover of a solid finishing device for garments used while being put on presser iron plates of the solid finishing device for garments formed by comprising a set part used for putting on the waist part of the trousers of garments from below and fixing it, presser iron plates for pressing the tuck of the waist part of the trousers hung at the set part, and clampers for drawing the skirts of the trousers having tucks pressed with the presser iron plates downwardly to apply a tension to the trousers characterized in that a part contacted with the trousers of said garments is formed by a cloth having many hard bristles like brushes.

4. The cover of a solid finishing device for garments according to claim 3 characterized in that the bristles are inclined upwardly.
