Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Background of the Invention

The present invention relates to a grate panel with upright brace structures, and more particularly, to a grate panel equipped essentially with a plurality of upright brace structures and thereby capable of high-strength load bearing.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Presently, commercially available grate panels are used in the following: 1. partitions of various plants, such as power generation plants, incinerators, sewage treatment plants, and petrochemical plants; 2. platforms and passageways; 3. treads of staircases; 4. cement products manufacturing plants; 5. drainage ditch covers for use with drainage ditches in roads, mass transit railways, bridges, parking lots, parks, urban restructuring areas, and industrial zones; and 6. locker racks, and fences.

A grate panel is typically composed of load-bearing flat steel bars aligned in the lengthwise direction of the grate panel, and transverse bars spaced apart from one another at a particular distance, wherein the bars are welded together by a high-voltage resistance welding machine and go through such processes as cutting, incision, boring, and overedging to become a finished product that meets customers' needs.

In general, conventional grate panels have their drawbacks, namely high production costs, complicated manufacturing processes, and insufficient structural strength. In view of the drawbacks of the prior art, the inventor of the present invention endeavored to improve the conventional grate panels.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a grate panel with upright brace structures. A plurality of upright brace structures are longitudinally aligned and surrounded by side panels, and a plurality of reinforcing panels are transversely aligned and surrounded by the side panels, wherein the plurality of reinforcing panels are disposed between the spaced-apart upright brace structures to reinforce the grate panel with the upright brace structures. Each of the upright brace structures is a three-layer structure comprising an upper-positioned reinforcing bar, an intermediate-positioned upright brace, and a lower-positioned reinforcing bar, and is vertically aligned inside the side panels. The reinforcing panels connect the corrugate upright braces to one another at appropriately spaced locations, so as to provide structural reinforcement transversely. Accordingly, the present invention is applicable to technology-based plants nowadays.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The other objects and features of the present invention can be more fully understood by referring to the following description of the preferred embodiment and accompanying drawings, in which

FIG. 1 is a top plan view of a grate panel according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional side view of the grate panel according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional front view of the grate panel according to the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a partial schematic view of the grate panel according to the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the grate panel according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The present invention provides a grate panel 1 having upright brace structures.

Referring to FIGS. 1-5, the grate panel 1 with upright brace structures comprises side panels 1, 2, 3, 4, upright brace structures A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, and reinforcing panels 5, 6, 7. The upright brace structure A1 comprises a reinforcing bar a having a round or flat cross-sectional shape, an upright brace b having a round or flat cross-sectional shape, and a reinforcing bar c having a round or flat cross-sectional shape. The upright brace b has a projecting leg b1 welded to an end surface of the side panel 1, and a flush leg b2 welded to an end surface of the side panel 3. The reinforcing bar a is welded to an upper portion of the upright brace b, while the reinforcing bar c is welded to a lower portion of the upright brace b. Each of the reinforcing panels 5, 6, 7 is rectangular and has an upper portion whose left end surface is welded to a support bar b11 and whose right end surface is welded to another support bar b21.

Referring to FIG. 4, the reinforcing panel 5 has an upper portion formed with an insertion hole 52 for securing in position the reinforcing bar a inserted therein. The reinforcing panel 5 further has a lower portion formed with an insertion hole 51 for receiving and securing in position the reinforcing bar c in response to insertion of the upright brace b. On the analogy of this, the reinforcing panels 6, 7 bear the aforesaid assembly-related features too. Hence, the upright brace structure A1 is formed by the upper-positioned reinforcing bar a, the intermediate-positioned upright brace b, and the lower-positioned reinforcing bar c welded to one another, and is welded to the side panels 1, 2, 3, 4. On the analogy of this, the upright brace structures A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 bear the aforesaid assembly-related features too.

Table 1 is an embodiment table showing components of the upright brace structures.

The number of the upright brace structures may be adjusted as appropriate, to meet clients' need.

Embodiment

Side panels 1, 2, 3, 4 are made of iron, so that each of the side panels is 300 mm or 213 mm long, 25 mm high, and 3 mm thick. Then, an upright brace 20, angled at 45° and 19 mm high, is fabricated from a standard-sized iron bar (3 mm in diameter) using a wheeled wavy form generating machine. A plurality of reinforcing bars 8 (3 mm in diameter) and a plurality of reinforcing bars 3 (3 mm in diameter) are then provided and spot-welded to the upright brace 20 by a spot welder to form the upright brace structure A1. Next, the upright brace structures A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 and reinforcing panels 5, 6, 7 (22 mm high and 27 mm wide) are held together by dampers and welded together by the spot welder. Afterward, cutting is performed with a cutting apparatus to accomplish appropriate length, before the upright brace structures and the reinforcing panels are surrounded with the rectangular side panels by welding. The finished product is the grate panel 1 with the upright brace structures.

While the invention herein disclosed has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
