CORPORATE BODY OF TRANSPARENT RESIN AND PAPER COVER AND ADHESION METHOD THEREOF

A combination of a transparent resin and a paper cover sheet and a coupling method thereof. The combination comprises a piece of transparent resin having a receiving space, which is defined in the center portion thereof, and marginal portions, which are formed in the periphery of the center portion and are folded inward such that upper and lower bonding parts are formed; and a paper cover sheet inserted between the upper and lower bonding parts of the marginal portions of the piece of transparent resin and having one or more through-holes which are defined through peripheral portions thereof, wherein, after the paper cover sheet is inserted into the piece of transparent resin, the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin are bonded with each other through the through-holes in the paper cover sheet.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a combination of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet and a coupling method thereof, and more particularly, to a combination of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet which are used to package a finished product so that the packaged product can be seen from the outside with the naked eye, and a coupling method thereof.

BACKGROUND ART

In general, as a way of packaging a finished small-sized product, a method of applying an adhesive to the upper and lower surfaces of a paper box or taping the paper box after putting the product in the paper box is frequently used.

This method is widely used when packaging consumer products and food items. In this regard, a product tends to be packaged using a case made of a transparent material and then displayed or placed on sale so that the display effect can be improved and consumers' desire to directly check the condition of the product with the naked eye can be satisfied.

For example, FIGS. 1a and 1b are schematic views illustrating conventional methods for coupling a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet. Referring to FIG. 1a, after applying an adhesive 40 onto the peripheral portions of a paper cover sheet 20, products 30 are received in the receiving space defined in the piece of transparent resin 10. Then, with the paper cover sheet 20 placed so as to cover the receiving space of the piece of transparent resin 10, by pressing the piece of transparent resin 10 and the paper cover sheet 20 to each other while radiating heat, high frequency radiation, or the like on the adhesive 40, the piece of transparent resin 10 and the paper cover sheet 20 are bonded with each other.

However, in this conventional method, when the package is opened, since some of the peripheral portions of the paper cover sheet 20 adhere to the lower surface of the marginal portions 11 of the piece of transparent resin 10, a problem is caused in that the transparent resin 10 cannot be properly recycled, and is likely to be disposed as waste.

Also, referring to FIG. 1b, in another method, marginal portions 51 are formed on both sides of a piece of transparent resin 50. The marginal portions 51 are folded to define guide spaces therein. After products 60 are received in the receiving space defined in the piece of transparent resin 50, a paper cover sheet 70 is inserted into the guide spaces in such a way as to cover the receiving space. In this state, the piece of transparent resin 50 and the paper cover sheet 70 are fastened to each other using staples 80.

Nevertheless, in this conventional method, when a customer purchases and opens a package, the customer's finger is likely to be injured by the staples 80. In particular, in the case where the staples 80 are improperly folded and the pointed ends of the staples 80 are exposed to the outside, the likelihood of the customer's finger being injured increases while handling the package.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION Technical Problem

Accordingly, the present invention has been. made in an effort to solve the problems occurring in the related art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a combination of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet in which the marginal portions of a piece of transparent resin are folded to define guide spaces, and, after a paper cover sheet having a predetermined number of through-holes is inserted into the guide spaces in the piece of transparent resin, the folded portions of the piece of transparent resin are bonded or fused to each other through the through-holes defined in the paper cover sheet, so that the piece of transparent resin and the paper cover sheet can be easily and conveniently coupled to each other, and, when a package of products is opened, the piece of transparent resin can be recycled, and a coupling method thereof.

Technical Solution

In order to achieve the above object, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a combination of a piece of transparent resin which is formed depending upon the size and shape of the product to be packaged, and a paper cover sheet which covers a receiving space defined in the piece of transparent resin, comprising the piece of transparent resin having the receiving space, which is defined in the center portion thereof, and marginal portions, which are formed at the periphery of the center portion and are folded inward such that upper and lower bonding parts are formed; and the paper cover sheet inserted between the upper and lower bonding parts of the marginal portions of the piece of transparent resin and having one or more through-holes which are defined through peripheral portions thereof, wherein, after the paper cover sheet is inserted into the piece of transparent resin, the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin are bonded to each other through the through-holes in the paper cover sheet.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the piece of transparent resin has embossments which are formed in the upper and lower bonding parts of the marginal portions at positions corresponding to the through-holes defined in the paper cover sheet in such a way as to project inward.

In order to achieve the above object, according to still another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for coupling a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet, comprising the steps of folding marginal portions of the piece of transparent resin inward to define upper and lower bonding parts, and forming embossments in the upper and lower bonding parts to project inward; punching one or more through-holes in peripheral portions of the paper cover sheet; inserting the paper cover sheet between the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin; and bonding the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin through the through-holes in the paper cover sheet.

Advantageous Effects

Thanks to the above-described features, a combination of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet and a coupling method thereof according to the present invention provide advantages in that the piece of transparent resin and the paper cover sheet can be easily and conveniently coupled to each other and, when a package of products is opened, since portions of the paper cover sheet do not adhere to the transparent resin, the transparent resin can be properly recycled. Further, when a package of products is opened, it is possible to prevent accidents from occurring.

MODE FOR THE INVENTION

Reference will now be made in greater detail to preferred embodiments of the invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a combination of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, and FIGS. 4a and 4b are sectional views illustrating a process for coupling the piece of transparent resin and the paper cover sheet in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention.

The present invention relates to a packaging member which is composed of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet and is used to package products. In detail, the present invention relates to a method for coupling a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet, and a packaging member formed by the method.

As described above, in the conventional coupling methods, an adhesive is applied between the transparent resin and the paper cover sheet, which are then pressed to be bonded with each other, or the transparent resin and the paper cover sheet are fastened to each other using staples. In the case in which the adhesive is used, when a package is opened, portions of the paper cover sheet adhere to the transparent resin. As a consequence, a problem is caused in that the transparent resin is disposed of as waste rather than being recycled, which leads to the waste of resources. Further, in the case of using the staples, a customer's finger is likely to be injured by the pointed ends of the staples when opening a package, and inconvenience is caused in that the staples must be separately recycled.

Referring to FIG. 3, a combination 100 of a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention is used to package products 200 such as consumer products and food items. The combination 100 is composed of a piece of transparent resin 110 which is formed to correspond to the size and the shape of the products 200, and a paper cover sheet 120 which covers the receiving space 101 (see FIG. 4) defined in the piece of transparent resin 110.

The piece of transparent resin 110 is formed such that the receiving space 101 is defined in the center of the piece of transparent resin 110. Marginal portions 111 are formed on the periphery of the center portion of the piece of transparent resin 110. The marginal portions 111 are folded inward such that upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b are formed, and guide spaces, through which the paper cover sheet 120 is inserted, are defined between the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b.

Preferably, embossments 111a′ are formed in the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the marginal portions 111 at positions corresponding to the through-holes 121 in the paper cover sheet 120, which will be described later, such that the embossments 111a′ project inward. This is to ensure easy bonding of the transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 after the paper cover sheet 120 is inserted into the guide spaces defined between the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b.

Meanwhile, the paper cover sheet 120 can be printed on the surfaces thereof with the specification of the products, the logo of a manufacturing company, etc. The paper cover sheet 120 is inserted into the guide spaces, which are defined by the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110, and closes the receiving space in the piece of transparent resin 110.

One or more through-holes 121 are defined through the peripheral portions of the paper cover sheet 120. After the paper cover sheet 120 is inserted into the guide spaces in the piece of transparent resin 110, the upper bonding part 111a and the lower bonding part 111b of the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110 are bonded with each other through the through-holes 121 in the paper cover sheet 120.

It is preferred that one through-hole 121 be defined in each peripheral portion of the paper cover sheet 120. An appropriate number of through-holes 121 may be defined in each peripheral portion of the paper cover sheet 120 depending upon the size of the products 200. A device for defining the through-holes 121 can comprise a conventional punching machine, or a dedicated punching machine can be fabricated. Since the punching machine is beyond the technical scope of the present invention, a detailed description thereof will be omitted herein.

Meanwhile, preferably, the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the piece of transparent resin 110 are heat-fused to each other through the through-holes 121 in the paper cover sheet 120 by applying heat and pressing them to each other. This is made possible based on the fact that synthetic resin has a low melting point due to the thermo-chemical characteristics thereof.

The piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 can be bonded with each other not only by heat-fusion but also by using a bonding mechanism (not shown) which employs ultrasonic waves, high frequency radiation, or the like. At this time, the bonding mechanism has protuberances which can pass through the through-holes 121 in the paper cover sheet 120, such that the protuberances can be inserted into the embossments 111a′ formed in the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110 so as to bond the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the piece of transparent resin 110.

When the process for coupling the piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 is completed, the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the piece of transparent resin 110 are bonded with each other through the through-holes 121 in the paper cover sheet 120, by which the packaging of the products 200 is conducted.

As a consequence, due to the fact that only the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110 are bonded with each other through the through-holes 121 of the paper cover sheet 120, when the package of the products 200 is opened, since only the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b are detached from each other, it is possible to prevent portions of the paper cover sheet 120 from adhering to the transparent resin 110, whereby the opening of the package can be simply performed.

Hereafter, a method for coupling the piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 constituting the combination 100 constructed as mentioned above will be described. FIG. 5 is a flow chart illustrating a method for coupling a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 5, in the method for coupling the piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 with each other, first, the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110 are folded inward to define the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b, and the embossments 111a′ are formed in at least one of the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b to project inward (S10). Then, one or more through-holes 121 is punched in the peripheral portions of the paper cover sheet 120 (S20).

Next, the products 200 are received in the receiving space defined in the piece of transparent resin 110, and the paper cover sheet 120 is inserted between the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110 (S30).

Finally, the upper and lower bonding parts 111a and 111b of the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110 are heat-fused to each other through the through-holes 121 in the paper cover sheet 120, whereby the combination 100 of the piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 is completely formed (S40).

The combination 100 of the piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120, which are bonded in this way, provides advantages in that the finish of the bonded portions is clean, and when the piece of transparent resin 110 and the paper cover sheet 120 are decoupled from each other, since no portions of the paper cover sheet 120 adhere to the marginal portions 111 of the piece of transparent resin 110, the transparent resin 110 can be properly recycled.

Claims

1. A combination of a piece of transparent resin which is formed depending upon a size and a shape of a product to be packaged, and a paper cover sheet which covers a receiving space defined in the piece of transparent resin, comprising:

the transparent resin having the receiving space, which is defined in a center portion thereof, and marginal portions, which are formed at a periphery of the center portion and are folded inward such that upper and lower bonding parts are formed; and
the paper cover sheet inserted between the upper and lower bonding parts of the marginal portions of the piece of transparent resin and having one or more through-holes which are defined through peripheral portions thereof, wherein, after the paper cover sheet is inserted into the piece of transparent resin, the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin are bonded with each other through the through-holes of the paper cover sheet.

2. The combination according to claim 1, wherein the piece of transparent resin has embossments which are formed in the upper and lower bonding parts of the marginal portions at positions corresponding to the through-holes defined in the paper cover sheet in such a way as to project inward.

3. A method for coupling a piece of transparent resin and a paper cover sheet, comprising the steps of:

folding marginal portions of the piece of transparent resin inward to define upper and lower bonding parts, and forming embossments in the upper and lower bonding parts to project inward;
punching one or more through-holes in peripheral portions of the paper cover sheet;
inserting the paper cover sheet between the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin; and
bonding the upper and lower bonding parts of the piece of transparent resin through the through-holes of the paper cover sheet.
