A reversible hat may include a first portion of the reversible hat being a first color which corresponds to a home team color and a second portion of the reversible hat being a second color which corresponds to a away team color. The first portion may be an external surface of the hat, and the second portion may be an internal surface of the hat. The first portion may be a front surface of the hat, and the second portion may be a back surface of the hat. The hat may include a peripheral band with indicia, and the indicia may include a logo. Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention generally relates to the field of clothing, namely sneakers, sweats, T-shirts, caps, hats, sports jackets. More particularly, the present invention relates to clothing with coordinated colors and logos and catchphrases.

BACKGROUND

Humans have been wearing all kinds of sports attire. More recently however, hats have become a very popular with men, women, young, and old alike. Sports attire is worn for various reasons, including fashion and sun protection. Sports attire are also worn during various activities, such as while working indoors/outdoors and while playing sporting events such as golf, tennis, and baseball.

There have been many uses for sports attire through the years as sports attire often serves a dual purpose of providing protection from the elements and providing a fashionable accessory to a person's attire.

Recently, affordable ball caps have been widely adapted as they also provide a team, brand, or product insignia and therefore signal sports fan allegiance, brand allegiance, or product awareness. Users of a ball cap also utilize the positioning of a cap as a means of self expression. The way in which a cap is positioned on a wearers head in addition to the particular insignia and style of hat chosen by the wearer is an effective way to engage in the expression of style.

A ball cap is also functional and effective in blocking the sun from a wearer's eyes. However, there are many situations where a user desires a cap to be adjustable in configuration both for style and for function. There have been many improvements on the basic hat design.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,777,667 discloses a flip cap that intermittently displays an informative or advertising message through the use of a hinged bill cap.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,533,211 discloses a hat with an interior track member that allows the brim to be horizontally rotated around the crown of the hat to various positions.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,715,534 also discloses an interior channel for slidable positioning of one or more hat brims around the crown.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,870,772 also discloses a hat brim that can be rotated about the crown.

U.S. Pat. No. 7,152,250 discloses an adjustable hat comprising a material crown; a first axis situated on a first side of said crown; a second axis situated on a second side of said crown; a brim containing a frame having a first end and a second end; said first end engaging the first axis and the second end engaging the second axis, the brim being rotatably positioned about the material crown.

SUMMARY

A reversible clothing may include a first portion of the reversible clothing being a first color which corresponds to a home team color or a first-team and a second portion of the reversible clothing being a second color which corresponds to a away team color or second team.

The first portion may be an external surface of the clothing, and the second portion may be an internal surface of the clothing.

The first portion may be a front surface of the clothing, and the second portion may be a back surface of the clothing.

The hat may include a peripheral band with indicia, and the indicia may include a logo.

The indicia may include a catchphrase, and the front surface may include indicia, and back surface may include indicia.

The indicia may include a logo, and the indicia may include a catchphrase.

The indicia may include a logo.

A reversible headband may include a first surface being a first color corresponding to a home team, and a second surface may be a second color corresponding to an away team or different team.

The first surface may include a first indicia, and the second surface may include a second indicia.

The first indicia may be a logo, and the first indicia may be a catchphrase. The second indicia may be a logo, and the second indicia may be a catch phrase.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

FIG. 1 illustrates a skullcap 100 or knit cap which is substantially dome shaped and includes a peripheral band 105 which extends along the peripheral edge 113 of the skullcap 100. Sports fans which wear the skullcap 100 to sporting events desire to have the color on the exterior surface of the skullcap 100 match the colors of the team which they are cheering for. However, the team more than likely will have at least two colors or more, one color may be for home games or for first-team and the other color for away games or a second or different team. Previously, it has been necessary to have two separate skullcaps in order to meet the need of having a skullcap the color for home games and a second skullcap for away games. FIG. 1 illustrates a skullcap 100 which provides a solution to the above problem. The interior surface 109 of the skullcap 100 is a first color which may be for home games or for first-team, and the exterior surface 103 of the skullcap 100 may be a second color which may be for away games or different team. In addition to the first color corresponding to the home games and the second color corresponding to the away games or different team, the first color can correspond to the first team and the second color can correspond to a second team. In this way, it is possible to use the same clothing for two favorite but different teams. The skullcap 100 is flexible and reversible so that the interior surface 109 which is the first color can be turned into the exterior surface 103 by reversing the skullcap 100. Thus, the exterior surface now is the first color and the interior surface 109 is now the second color for a different team. The peripheral band 105 may be the first color, or the peripheral band 105 may be the second color. Alternatively, the peripheral band 105 may be a third color. The peripheral band 105 may include indicia 107. The indicia 107 may be a logo which corresponds to the team. For example, the first color may be blue and the second color may be white, and the logo may be ‘Cowboys’ of the Dallas Cowboys. Furthermore, the indicia 107 may be a catchphrase which relate to the color and consequently the team such as ‘How Bout Them Cowboys’.

FIG. 2 illustrates a portion of the skullcap 100 and more particularly the peripheral band 105 which shows that the indicia 107 may be a logo or catchphrase.

FIG. 3 illustrates the skullcap 100 which has been inverted, and FIG. 3 shows that the peripheral band 105 includes a logo of ‘T’ on the exterior surface of the peripheral band 105 and the catchphrase ‘Homerun’ on the interior surface of the peripheral band 105. The interior surface 109 may be a first color which corresponds to the home team color and the exterior surface 103 is the second color which corresponds to the away team color or different team color.

The logo ‘T’ could be on the interior surface of the peripheral band 105 and the catchphrase “Homerun’ could be on the exterior surface of the peripheral band 105 simply by reversing or turning the skullcap 100 inside out.

FIG. 4 illustrates a double bib hat 400 which could be flexible or rigid in accordance with the teachings of the present invention. The double bib hat 400 includes a front surface 449 which may be a first color which corresponds to a selected team color and a back surface 451 which may be the second color which corresponds to the a different team color. The bib hat 400 may include a front bib 441 or visor which is connected to the front surface 449 and a back bid 443 or visor which is connected to the back surface 451. The front bib 441 may be the same color as the front surface 449, namely the first color, and the back bib may be the same color as the back surface 451, namely the second color for different team. Alternatively, the front bib 441 or the back bib 443 may be a third color for yet a third team.

FIG. 4 additionally illustrates front indicia 445 positioned on the front surface 449 and illustrates back indicia 447 positioned on the back surface 451. The front indicia 445 and the back indicia 447 may be a logo or a catchphrase as described herein. The bib hat 400 is reversible in that the front surface 449 can be positioned on the back and the back surface 451 could be positioned on the front of the user. The first color may be the color for the home games are first-team and the second color may be the color for the away games or a second team (different).

FIG. 5 illustrates a headband 500 which is reversible headband with the exterior surface 553 being a first color which may correspond to the color of the home team color for first-team and interior surface 555 being a second color which may correspond to the color of the away team color or second team. The exterior surface 553 may include a first indicia 559 which may be a logo or a catchphrase, and the interior surface 555 may include a second indicia 557 which may be a logo or catchphrase. The headband 500 may be reversed so that the interior surface 555 is now the exterior surface being the second color and the exterior surface 553 is now be interior surface being the first color.

FIG. 6 illustrates a skullcap 600 or knit cap which allows the user to display colors from two teams and display each teams home and away colors. The skullcap 600 is reversible as previously discussed. The skullcap 600 includes an exterior front surface 661 and an exterior back surface 662. The exterior front surface 661 may be a first color which corresponds to the selected team color of the first team, and the exterior back surface 662 may be a second color which corresponds to the away team color of the first team or a different team. The skullcap 600 includes an interior front surface 663 and an interior back surface 664 in which the interior front surface 663 may be a third color which corresponds to the home team color of the second team and the interior back surface 664 may be a fourth color which corresponds to the away team color of the second team. The skullcap 600 may be reversed by which the interior front surface 663 and the egg interior back surface 664 becomes the exterior front surface and the exterior back surface respectively.

FIG. 7-9 illustrates clothing that can be used in connection with the above identified application. FIG. 7 illustrates a team logo belt 771 which includes indicia 775 which may include a logo or catchphrase. FIG. 7 illustrates team trousers 774 which may be in the home team color (a selected team color) or alternatively in the different team color and includes indicia 773 which may be a logo or catchphrase. FIG. 7 additionally illustrates a shoe 778 which may be a tennis shoe 777 which may be the selected team color while the other shoe may be the alternate away team color, or the shoe 778 may be the same color.

FIG. 8 illustrates a T-shirt 800 or a sweater which may be decorated in accordance with the following scheme. FIG. 8 illustrates indicia 881 in the center of the chest and on the shoulder which may indicate a logo or catchphrase. Each side of the T-shirt 800 may include a different color, for instance the right side of the T-shirt 800 may be a first color which corresponds to the color of the home team or different team while the left side of the T-shirt 800 may be a second color which corresponds to the color of the away team or a different team. Alternatively, the T-shirt 800 may include a front and back which are of different color for instance, the front of the T-shirt 800 may be the first color which corresponds to the color of the home team or a selected team while the back of the T-shirt 800 may be the second color which corresponds to the color of the away team or a different team.

FIG. 9 illustrates jean clothing 900 of the present invention. The jean clothing 900 includes a right pocket 904 which may be the first color which corresponds to the color of the home team and a left pocket 902 which may be the second color which corresponds to the color of the away team. Furthermore, the jean clothing 900 may include indicia 906 which may include a logo or catchphrase.

FIG. 10 illustrates states perspective view of a jacket 1000 of the present invention which may include a logo 1007 on the sleeve of the jacket 1000. Furthermore, the front surface 1005 of the jacket 1000 may be a first color and the back surface 1003 of the jacket 1000 may be a second color. The first color may be a home color or a first team color, and the second color may be an away color or a second team color.

FIG. 11 illustrates a perspective view of a hat 1100 of the present invention which may include a logo 1107 or catchphrase on the rim of the hat 1100. The front surface 1105 may be a first color, and the back surface 1103 may be a second color.

FIG. 12 illustrates a perspective view of a hat 1200 of the present invention which may include a logo 1207 or catchphrase on the rim of the hat 1200. The front surface 1205 may be a first color, and the back surface 1203 may be a second color.

FIG. 13 illustrates a perspective view of a belt, pants, and shoes of the present invention. The belt 1300 may be reversible with the front surface 1305 may be a first color, and the back surface 1303 may be a second color. The pants 1310 may have an exterior surface 1313 to the pocket without a logo and an interior surface 1311 with a logo 1307 or catchphrase.

FIG. 13 additionally illustrates a shoe 1321 of the present invention which may be a sneaker. The shoe 1321 may have a logo 1327 or catchphrase and may have a first color on a first side surface 1323 of the shoe 1321 and may have a second color on a second side surface 1325 of the shoe 1321.

FIG. 14 illustrates a bomber jacket 1400 with hood of the present invention. The bomber jacket 1400 and hood may be reversible and may have an interior surface 1403 a first color and may have an exterior surface 1405 a second color. The bomber jacket 1400 may have a rear logo (not shown). In addition, a logo 1407 may be found across the chest, the arm sleeves, the waistband and across the hood. FIG. 14 additionally illustrates gloves/mittens 1417 with the reversible logo and reversible headband 1419. FIG. 14 illustrates ear muffs 1421.

FIG. 15 illustrates a reversible sock 1500 showing an exterior surface 1505 of a first color and an interior surface 1503 of a second color.

FIG. 16 illustrates a reversible boxer shorts 1600 showing an exterior surface having a front surface 1605 a first color and having a back surface 1603 a second color. The reversible boxer shorts 1600 may have an interior surface having a front surface a third color and a back surface a fourth color. FIG. 16 additionally illustrates that the reversible boxer shorts 1600 may include logo 1607 or a catchphrase. The reversible boxer shorts 1600 may show the National Football Conference on the front in colors and teams or alternatively, the National Basketball Association with the Western Conference teams in front and the Eastern conference teams colors and logos in the back.

FIG. 17 illustrates a shoe 1700 in accordance with the present invention. The shoe 1700 may include a logo 1707 and may include a first side 1703 which may be a first color and may include a second side 1705 which may be a second color.

While the invention is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof have been shown by way of example in the drawings and are herein described in detail. It should be understood, however, that the description herein of specific embodiments is not intended to limit the invention to the particular forms disclosed.

Claims

1. A reversible clothing, comprising:

a first portion of the reversible clothing being a first color which corresponds to a home team color or a first-team;
a second portion of the reversible clothing being a second color which corresponds to a away team color or a second team.

2. A reversible clothing as in claim 1, wherein the first portion is an external surface of the clothing.

3. A reversible clothing as in claim 1, wherein the second portion is an internal surface of the clothing.

4. A reversible clothing as in claim 1, wherein the first portion is a front surface of the clothing.

5. A reversible clothing as in claim 1, wherein the second portion is a back surface of the clothing.

6. A reversible clothing as in claim 1, wherein the hat includes a peripheral band with indicia.

7. A reversible clothing as in claim 6, wherein the indicia includes a logo.

8. A reversible clothing as in claim 6, wherein the indicia includes a catchphrase.

9. A reversible clothing as in claim 4, wherein the front surface includes indicia.

10. A reversible clothing as in claim 5, wherein the back surface includes indicia.

11. A reversible clothing as in claim 9, wherein the indicia includes a logo.

12. A reversible clothing as in claim 9, wherein the indicia includes a catchphrase.

13. A reversible clothing as in claim 10, wherein the indicia includes a logo.

14. A reversible headband, comprising:

a first surface being a first color corresponding to a home team;
a second surface being a second color corresponding to an away team.

15. A reversible headband as in claim 14, wherein the first surface includes a first indicia.

16. A reversible headband as in claim 14, wherein the second surface includes a second indicia.

17. A reversible headband as in claim 15, wherein the first indicia is a logo.

18. A reversible headband as in claim 15, wherein the first indicia is a catchphrase.

19. A reversible headband as in claim 16, wherein the second indicia is a logo.

20. A reversible headband as in claim 16, wherein the second indicia is a catchphrase.
