FOLDABLE BED UNIT

The present invention provides a middle rest of a foldable bed unit, which is typically set upon the middle portion of the foldable frame boards by pivoting two cross braces on the both sides of the vertical stems respectively, the another ends of the cross braces are pivoted on the frame boards respectively, wherein said cross braces extend out a stopper on each low end for touching against the both sides of the middle rest to hold the middle rest in right standing configuration, in this way, as tending to spread out the bed unit, said middle rest can be smoothly located on the middle portion of the frame board vertically without any offset happened under no artificial aid.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a foldable bed unit, and more particularly to a middle rest structure of a foldable bedstead.

2. Description of Prior Art

In accordance with the conventional foldable bed units, as shown in FIG. 4, it is typically comprised of two half frame boards, two pair of end legs separately on head and foot, and a middle rest; in which said two pair of end legs can be folded inward as folding the bed unit firstly, then lap over the two half frame boards in abutting, so that the foldable bed unit is folded into a smaller quadrate for reducing the volume occupied by the folded bed unit. Additionally, as spreading out said foldable bed unit, said middle rest is located on the middle portion of the bed board to prevent the middle portion from collapsing. Said middle rest is pivoted on the one ends of two cross braces respectively at the both sides, the another ends of said cross braces are respectively pivoted on the two half frame boards for preventing the middle rest from tilting as spreading out, in order to increase the supporting stability. But the pivoting joint allows the middle rest able to turn around the pivoting point, so that the middle rest has to be held on in vertical position by user for functioning it as unfolding over, so it will bring to be inconvenience in use.

OBJECTS AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore a main object of the present invention to provide a middle rest of a foldable bed unit that can be located in right attitude automatically without any artificial assistant as pitched up.

For achieving the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a middle rest of a foldable bed unit, which is typically set upon the middle portion of the foldable frame boards by pivoting two cross braces on the both sides of the vertical stems respectively, the another ends of the cross braces are pivoted on the frame boards respectively, wherein said cross braces extend out a stopper on each low end for touching against the both sides of the middle rest to hold the middle rest in.

Said stoppers of the two cross braces touch against the both sides of the vertical sterns of the middle rest respectively for holding it in.

Said middle rest is shaped in H-shaped, and located by the stoppers of the cross braces at the both sides of the cross bar.

Said vertical stems of the middle rest have a U-slot built upon the top ends of each respectively.

As utilizing above-mentioned project, due to holding coming from the stoppers of the cross braces at the both sides of the cross bar or vertical stems symmetrically for keeping the middle rest in vertical configuration, thereby as tending to spread out the bed unit, said middle rest can be smoothly located on the middle portion of the frame board vertically without any offset happened under no artificial aid; on the other hand, said U-shaped slots built on the top end of the two vertical stems of the middle rest can catch on the cross member of said frame boards as spreading out for making the supporting more stably.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the folding action of the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the folding configuration of the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIG. 1, a foldable bed unit provided by the present invention is typically comprised of two half frame boards 1, two pair of end legs 2 and a middle rest 3, in which said middle rest 3 is in H-shaped, and the two vertical stems are pivoted on two cross braces 31 respectively with the low ends, another end of said cross braces 31 are pivoted on the frame boards 1 respectively; wherein, said each cross braces 31 extend out a stopper 311 on each low end for touching against the both sides of said vertical stem of the middle rest 3 to hold the vertical stems in locating configuration; on the other hand, the middle rest 3 has two U-slots 32 built upon the top ends of each vertical stems respectively.

As folding said foldable bed unit, as shown in FIG. 2, as same as the way of the conventional art, firstly inward fold the both end legs, then laps up the frame boards together to bend into a quadrate, as shown in FIG. 3. But, as tending to spread out said foldable bed unit, backward sequence operation can be done, in this time, said cross braces 31 pivoted on the middle rest 3 have stoppers 311 extended from the low ends respectively catching the cross bar of the middle rest 3 in from the both sides, so that the middle rest 3 is located in right standing configuration, further to supporting on the middle portion of said frame boards smoothly without any offset or title happened, meanwhile said U-shaped slots 32 built on the top end of the two vertical stems of the middle rest 3 can catch on the cross member of said frame boards as spreading out for making the supporting more stably.

On the other hand, said stoppers 311 extended from the low ends of said cross braces 31 respectively catching the vertical stems of the middle rest 3 in from the both sides has the same effect of locating the middle rest 3 in right standing configuration, further to supporting on the middle portion of said frame boards smoothly.
