Synthetic grain-leather with woven layer

-

A synthetic grain-leather with woven layer has a split layer, a bonding layer, a woven layer and a surface layer. The split layer has a coating surface. The bonding layer is coated on the coating surface. The woven layer has multiple interwoven fiber structure and is bonded on the bonding layer. The surface layer is attached to the woven layer. Therefore, the woven layer increases a structural strength of the surface layer and prevents wrinkling to maintain a smooth appearance of the synthetic grain-leather with woven layer.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a synthetic grain-leather, and more particularly to a synthetic grain-leather with woven layer.

2. Description of Related Art

An animal pelt comprises a grain side leather and split layer. Due to the thickness problem it is leather always need to be split two parts, one is the grain side leather and the other is the split layer. The grain side leather can be processed into higher quality product of leather, but the split layer can not be processed same quality product. Because the drop split don't have the fine and smooth grain surface, it just has coarse and multiple holes surface, so is normally use the drop split to make suede. Alternatively, to raise a value of each split, the split synthetically processed to achieve a similar appearance to grain-leather. With reference to FIG. 5, a synthesized grain-leather (90) comprises a split layer (60), a bonding layer (70) and a surface layer (80). The bonding layer (70) is coated on the split layer (60) to fill up depressions or holes of the split layer (60).The surface layer (80) is resin, is coated on the bonding layer (70) and has been made to form grains similar to grain-leather.

However, because the structural strength of the split layer (60) and the surface layer (80) are weak, the synthesized grain-leather (90) may show an orange peel surface when the synthesized grain-leather get a strong tensile force.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a synthesized grain-leather with woven layer to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a synthetic grain-leather with woven layer to increase a structural strength and to keep from an orange peel appearance of a surface layer.

A synthetic grain-leather with woven layer has a split layer, a bonding layer, a woven layer and a surface layer. The split layer has a coating surface. The bonding layer is coated on the coating surface. The woven layer has multiple interwoven fiber structure and is bonded to the bonding layer. The surface layer is attached to the woven layer. Therefore, the woven layer increases a structural strength of the surface layer to prevent wrinkling and maintain a smooth appearance of the synthetic grain-leather with woven layer.

Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 is a cross sectional side view of a first embodiment of a synthetic grain-leather with woven layer in accordance with the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a second embodiment of a synthetic grain-leather with woven layer in accordance with the present invention;

FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross sectional side view of the synthetic grain-leather with woven layer in FIG. 2;

FIGS. 4A to 4E are cross sectional side views showing a method for manufacturing the synthetic grain-leather with woven layer in FIG. 2; and

FIG. 5 is a cross sectional side view of a conventional synthetic grain-leather in accordance with the prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIG. 1, a synthetic grain-leather with woven layer in accordance with the present invention is between 1.0-1.2 mm thick and comprises a split layer (10), a bonding layer (20), a woven layer (30), a surface layer (50) and an adhesive layer (40).

The split layer (10) comprises a coating surface (11). The coating surface is coarse and has multiple holes.

The bonding layer (20) may be polyurethane and is coated on the coating surface (11) to fill the holes of the split layer (10).

The woven layer (30) may be polyester or other similar materials, has multiple interwoven fiber structure and is bonded on the bonding layer (20).

The surface layer (50) may be varnish or polyurethane , is attached to the woven layer (30) and comprises an inner surface (51) and an outer layer (52). The inner surface (51) is attached to the woven layer (30). The outer layer (52) has multiple grains formed in the outer layer (52).

With reference to FIGS. 2 and 3, the adhesive layer (40) is coated between the woven layer (30) and the surface layer (50) and may be a composite resin synthesized from a polyurethane resin, an acrylic resin and a paint. With reference to FIGS. 4A to 4E, a manufacturing method of synthetic grain-leather with woven layer in accordance with the present invention comprises a pre-treatment of softening the split layer (10), and coating the bonding layer (20) on the split layer (10); drying then bonding the woven layer (30) to the bonding layer (20) by hot pressing before optionally coating the adhesive layer (40) on the woven layer (30); drying then attaching the surface layer (50) to the woven layer (30), maybe using the adhesive layer (40); and softening process to form the synthetic grain-leather with woven layer.

Therefore, a structural strength of the synthetic grain-leather is increased by. the woven layer, which also prevents wrinkling to maintain a smooth appearance of the surface layer (50).

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
