A safety structure of a curtain includes a main body having a beam and a curtain body with an end coupled to the beam, and the curtain body includes connecting portions; first latches at another end of the curtain body; second latches separately on each connecting portion; an ascending/descending unit coupled to the main body and including a position limit element in the beam, and a link string with an end coupled to the first latch, passed through the second latch and connected to the position limit element; and third latches installed at another end of the link string, and each third latch includes a pull string, such that if a too-large force is applied to the link or pull string, the connecting portions, first, second and third latches will be separated to prevent the pull string from being wound around a human body and achieve a higher safety effect.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a safety structure of a curtain, in particular to a safety structure of a curtain capable of preventing a pull string from being wound around a human body by accident to achieve a higher safety effect.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In general, a conventional curtain such as a Roman curtain includes a beam, an ascending/descending unit, and a drapery connected to the bottom of the beam, and the ascending/descending unit includes a plurality of pull strings and an ascending/descending string, and the drapery is formed by connecting a plurality of transversal drooped sections, and at least one row of through holes are formed on the transversal drooped sections for passing the ascending/descending string and fixing the ascending/descending string to the lowest through hole, such that the pull string can be pulled to drive the ascending/descending string to link with the drapery to achieve ascending or descending motions.

Since the pull string is normally exposed from a side of a window, the pull string may be wound around a child's neck by accident caused by the child's curiosity or when the child is playing with the pull string. The pull string poses a serious threat to children's safety.

Therefore, it is a main subject for the present invention to disclose a safety structure of a curtain to achieve a higher safety effect.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the shortcomings of the conventional curtain, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally developed a safety structure of a curtain, in hope of preventing a pull string from being wound around a human body by accident to achieve a higher safety effect.

Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide the curtain with a safety structure to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art.

To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention discloses a curtain with a safety structure, comprising: a main body, including a beam, a curtain body with an end coupled to the beam, and a plurality of connecting portions disposed on the curtain body; a plurality of first latches, separately installed at another end of the curtain body; a plurality of second latches, separately installed on each connecting portion; an ascending/descending unit, coupled to the main body, and having a position limit element installed in the beam, and a link string coupled to an end of the first latch, passed through the second latch, and coupled to the position limit element; and a plurality of third latches, installed at another end of the link string, and each third latch including a pull string installed thereon.

If the link string or the pull string of the curtain is pulled by a relatively large external force, the connecting portions, first latches, second latches and third latches will be separated to prevent the pull string from being wound around a human body accidentally, so as to achieve a higher safety effect.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The objects, characteristics and effects of the present invention will become apparent with the detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment and the illustrations of related drawings as follows.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 5 for a perspective view, an exploded view and partial enlarged views of Portions a, b and c of FIG. 2 in accordance with the present invention respectively, a safety structure of a curtain comprises a curtain body 1, a plurality of first latches 2, a plurality of second latches 3, an ascending/descending unit 4, and a plurality of third latches 5.

The main body 1 includes a beam 11, a curtain body 12 with an end coupled to the beam 11, a plurality of connecting portions 13 coupled to the curtain body 12 by a sewing thread 131, and a weight portion 14 installed inside another end of the curtain body 12.

Each first latch 2 is separately installed at another end of curtain body 12 and includes an embedding portion 21 disposed at another end of the curtain body 12, and a latch portion 22 movably latched with the embedding portion 21, and each latch portion 22 includes a fixing hole 221 formed thereon.

Each second latch 3 is installed onto each respective connecting portion 13, and includes a fixing base 31 disposed on the connecting portion 13, and a clamp portion 32 movably latched with the fixing base 31, and each clamp portion 32 includes a through hole 321 formed thereon.

The ascending/descending unit 4 is coupled to the main body 1 and includes a position limit element 41 installed in the beam 11, and a link string 42 having an end coupled to the first latch 2, passed through the second latch 3 and connected to the position limit element 41, and an end of the link string 42 is coupled to the fixing hole 221 of each latch portion 22 and passed into the through hole 321 of each clamp portion 32.

Each third latch 5 is installed at another end of the link string 42, and includes a pull string 51, and a pair of connectors 52, 53 respectively installed to the link string 42 and the pull string 51 and movably engaged with each other.

When the present invention is used, the beam 11 of the main body 1 is combined with the top of the window frame (not shown in the figure), and a force is applied to the pull string 51, such that the pull string 51 links with the link string 42 through each third latch 5, and the link string 42 is moved upwardly in the through hole 321 of the clamp portion 32 of each second latch 3, while each second latch 3 at another end of the curtain body 12 is being pulled, so that the curtain body 12 is ascended to perform a rolling movement. After the curtain body 12 is rolled to a predetermined position, the position limit element 41 is engaged with the link string 42 to fix the curtain body 12 at the predetermined position. If it is necessary to descend the curtain body 12, the pull string 51 will be pulled again, such that the position limit element 41 can release the link string 42. Now, the curtain body 12 can be descended by the weight portion 14. In the meantime, the link string 42 is being moved downwardly in the through hole 321 of each clamp portion 32 to achieve the effect of descending the curtain body 12.

If a child is curious or playing with the pull string 51 and the pull string 51 is wound around the child's body (such as the child's neck) accidentally, a relatively large external force (much greater than the force for pulling the curtain body 12) will be applied to the pull string 51, and the pair of connectors 52, 53 of each third latch 5 will be separated from each other to prevent the pull string 51 from being wound around a human body, so as to achieve a higher safety effect. If the pull string 51 is wound around the child's body, the pair of connectors 52, 53 of each third latch 5 still cannot be separated, but the pull string 51 applies an external force to the link string 42 to pull the curtain body 12, so that the sewing thread 131 of the connecting portion 13 will be broken and separated from the curtain body 12, or the embedding portion 21 and the latch portion 22 of each first latch 2 or the fixing base 31 and the clamp portion 32 of each second latch 3 will be separated from each other respectively to effectively prevent the pull string 51 from being tightly wound around a human body, so as to achieve a higher safety effect for the operation of the curtain.

The present invention comes with a safety structure, so that if the link string or the pull string of the curtain is pulled by a relatively large external force, the connecting portions, first latches, second latches and third latches will be separated to prevent the pull string from being wound around a human body by accident, so as to achieve a higher safety effect. Obviously, the invention complies with the patent application requirements, and products derived from the present invention can satisfy the current market requirements sufficiently.

While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.

Claims

1. A safety structure of a curtain, comprising:

a main body, including a beam, a curtain body with an end coupled to the beam, and a plurality of connecting portions disposed on the curtain body;
a plurality of first latches, separately installed at another end of the curtain body;
a plurality of second latches, separately installed on each connecting portion;
an ascending/descending unit, coupled to the main body, and having a position limit element installed in the beam, and a link string coupled to an end of the first latch, passed through the second latch, and coupled to the position limit element; and
a plurality of third latches, installed at another end of the link string, and each third latch including a pull string installed thereon.

2. The safety structure of a curtain as recited in claim 1, wherein the curtain body includes a weight portion disposed at another end of the curtain body.

3. The safety structure of a curtain as recited in claim 1, wherein each connecting portion is coupled to the curtain body by a sewing thread.

4. The safety structure of a curtain as recited in claim 1, wherein each first latch includes an embedding portion disposed at another end of the curtain body, a latch portion movably latched with the embedding portion, and a fixing hole formed on each latch portion for coupling an end of the link string.

The safety structure of a curtain as recited in claim 1, wherein each second latch includes a fixing base disposed on the connecting portion, and a clamp portion movably latched with the fixing base, and each clamp portion includes a through hole provided for passing and coupling the link string.

6. The safety structure of a curtain as recited in claim 1, wherein each third latch includes a pair of connectors installed to the link string and the pull string respectively and movably engaged with each other.
