Dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat

A toilet seat is easily soiled by urine of men and boys if they have not lifted the toilet seat before they urinate. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat can solve this problem by one mode of automatically lifting toilet seat by the mechanism of a seesaw or another mode of manually stepping on footboard to lift the toilet seat with minimum effort by the mechanism of a seesaw. Dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat can be converted simply by changing the hanging position of weighted connectors on levers from the mode of automatically lifting apparatus to the mode of manually lifting apparatus by stepping on footboard and vice versa.

THE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A toilet seat is often soiled by urine when men or boys urinate without lifting the toilet seat. The present invented dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat can solve this problem by lifting the toilet seat automatically or by stepping on a footboard to lift the toilet seat.

THE BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat consists of one or two levers which grasps the back of a toilet seat, a footboard which has an add-on weight and weighted connectors which connect the back portions of the levers to the rear end of the footboard. Dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat can a lift toilet seat automatically when the leverage of the sum of the weights of the connectors and footboard is greater than that of the weight of the toilet seat by the mechanism of a seesaw. When the leverage of the weight of the toilet seat is adjusted to be a little bit greater than that of the sum of weights of the connectors and footboard the toilet seats will lower and sits on the toilet and men or boys can step on the footboard to lift easily the toilet seat because of the minimum difference of weight.

THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring now to the drawings numeral 10 of FIG. 1 is a dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat. Numeral 11 of FIGS. 1 and 2 is right grasping lever. Numeral 12 of FIGS. 1 and 2 is lever of right grasping lever 11 of FIGS. 1 and 2. Numeral 13 of FIGS. 1 and 2 is grasping clip of right grasping lever 11 of FIGS. 1 and 2. Grasping clip 13 of FIGS. 1 and 2 can grasp the right back edge of toilet seat. Numeral 14, 15, 16 and 17 of FIGS. 1 and 2 are identical forwardly inclined and equally separated hooks of right grasping lever 11 of FIGS. 1 and 2. Numeral 19 of FIGS. 1 and 2 is left grasping lever. Left grasping lever 19 of FIGS. 1 and 2 and right grasping lever 11 of FIGS. 1 and 2 are mirror images of each other. Ring bolt 35 of FIG. 2 can pass through bolt canal 34 of add-on weight 33 of FIG. 2 and bolt canal 32 of footboard 31 of FIG. 2 to fasten add-on weight 33 onto footboard 31 of FIGS. 1 and 2 as illustrated in FIG. 1. Lower hook 30 of FIGS. 1 and 2 can pass through ring 36 of ring bolt 35 of FIGS. 1 and 2 as illustrated in FIG. 1. Upper hook 29 of FIGS. 1 and 2 can hook on the forwardly inclined hook 14 or 15 or 16 or 17 and 22 or 23 or 24 or 25 of FIGS. 1 and 2 as illustrated in FIG. 1. The steps to install dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat are as follow: the first step is to insert grasping clip 13 of FIGS. 1 and 2 onto the right back edge of toilet seat and to insert gasping clip 21 of FIGS. 1 and 2 onto the left back edge of toilet seat but remember to keep lever 12 and lever 20 of FIGS. 1 and 2 outside the lateral edge of the top of the toilet in order to let them rotate freely upward and downward without being caught by lateral edge of the top of the toilet. The second step is to place footboard 31 of FIGS. 1 and 2 around both sides of the base of toilet from front side to back side of toilet. The third step is to fasten add-on weight 33 onto footboard 31 with ring bolt 35 and nut 38 as illustrated in FIG. 1. The fourth step is to hook upper hooks 29 of both weighted connectors 26 and 27 onto forwardly inclined hooks 15 and 23 or 16 and 24 or 17 and 25 respectively of right grasping lever 11 and left grasping lever 19 as illustrated in FIG. 1. The fifth step is to pass lower hooks 30 of both weighted connectors 26 and 27 into rings 36 of ring bolts 35 as illustrated in FIG. 1. The method to build an automatically lifting apparatus for lifting toilet seat is to hang upper hooks 29 of both weighted connectors 26 and 27 of FIGS. 1 and 2 on the last forwardly inclined hooks 17 and 25 to let the leverage of sum of weight of the weighted connectors 26 and 27 and add-on weight 33 of footboard 31 be greater than that of weight of toilet seat to lift toilet seat to an upright position by the mechanism of a seesaw to allow men and boys to urinate without manually lifting manually the toilet seat. The method to build an apparatus for manually lifting the toilet seat by stepping on footboard 31 is to hang upper hooks 29 of both weighted connectors 26 and 27 of FIGS. 1 and 2 on the forwardly inclined hooks 15 and 23 to allow the leverage of the weight of toilet seat to be greater than that of the sum of the weight of weighted connectors 26 and 27 and add-on weight 33 of footboard 31 to let the toilet seat lower and sits on toilet by the mechanism of a seesaw. Men and boys have to step on footboard 31 to lift the toilet seat with minimum effort because the leverage of weight of toilet seat is only a little bit greater than that of the sum of weighted connectors 26 and 27 and add-on weight 33 of footboard 31. The mode of an automatically lifting apparatus and the mode of a manually lifting apparatus can be converted from one to the other simply by changing the position of both upper hooks 29 from the last forwardly inclined hooks 17 and 25 to the front forwardly inclined hooks 15 and 23 and vice versa. If weighted connector 26 or 27 is made heavy enough to lift the toilet seat then only one weighted connector 27 or 26 is needed and add-on weight 33 of footboard 31 is also not needed. If add-on weight 33 of footboard 31 is heavy enough to lift toilet seat then weight 28 of connector 26 or 27 is not needed and in this situation only wires or ropes or chains are needed to connect footboard 31 to forwardly inclined hooks 15 and 23 or 16 and 24 or 17 and 25. Another manifestation of the dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat is to have only one grasping lever, one weighted connector and weighted footboard. In this case, the footboard does not have to be U-shaped.

Claims

1. A dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat comprising two grasping levers, two weighted connectors, and a weighted footboard wherein said apparatus lifts a toilet seat using a seesaw action.

2. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 1, wherein said grasping lever has a grasping clip to grasp the back of said toilet seat.

3. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 1 wherein said grasping lever has one or more hooks to connect to said weighted connector.

4. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 3, wherein said hooks allow said weighted connector to connect to said grasping lever at different locations to change the amount of leverage on said grasping lever, whereby said apparatus can be changed from one that lifts said toilet seat automatically to one that requires said footboard to be stepped on to lift said toilet seat.

5. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 1, wherein said weighted connector connects said grasping lever and said weighted footboard.

6. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 1, wherein said footboard allows a person to step on said footboard to apply weight on said apparatus to lift said toilet seat.

7. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 1, wherein

8. said weighted connectors and said weighted footboard have enough weight to lift or nearly lift said toilet seat by applying a downward force on one end of said grasping levers, whereby said apparatus can automatically lift said toilet seat or manually lift said toilet seat when a person steps on said footboard, respectively.

9. A dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat comprising a grasping lever, a weighted connector and a weighted footboard. Wherein said apparatus lifts a toilet seat using a seesaw action.

10. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 8, wherein said gasping lever has a grasping clip to grasp the back edge of said toilet seat.

11. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 8, wherein said grasping lever has one or more hooks to connect to said weighted connector.

12. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 10, wherein said hooks allow said weighted connector to connect to said grasping lever at different locations to change the amount of leverage on said grasping lever, whereby said apparatus can be changed from one that lifts said toilet seat automatically to one that requires said footboard to be stepped on to lift said toilet seat.

13. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 8, wherein said weighted connector connects said grasping lever and said weighted footboard.

14. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 1, wherein said footboard allows a person to step on said footboard to apply weight on said apparatus to lift said toilet seat.

15. The dual functioned apparatus for lifting toilet seat of claim 8, wherein said weighted connector and said weighted footboard have enough weight to lift or nearly lift said toilet seat by applying a downward force on one end of said grasping lever, whereby said apparatus can automatically lift said toilet seat or manually lift said toilet seat when a person steps on said footboard, respectively.
