Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a male undergarment for securing and retaining the male penis.

BACKGROUND ART

Although it is the case that, in pursuit of comfort and other such functionality as well as visual attractiveness, various forms of undergarments have conventionally been provided as male lower body undergarments, these have for the most part been undergarments that ordinarily retain the penis and scrotum in their natural state, which is downwardly directed due to gravity.

However, the present inventor(s) have provided a male undergarment (penis retainer) for implementing a novel penis securing method whereby the penis is reliably secured as a result of its being tucked into the crotch area in a state in which it is inserted within a tubular cloth member, this being disclosed, for example, at Patent References Nos. 1 and 2.

PRIOR ART REFERENCES Patent References Patent Reference No. 1: Japanese Patent No. 4177448 Patent Reference No. 2: Japanese Registered Utility Model No. 3143285 SUMMARY OF INVENTION Problems to be Solved by the Invention

The aforementioned penis retainer (male undergarment) penis securing method makes it possible, by tucking the penis into the crotch area in a state in which it is pulled backward from below, to reliably and stably secure the penis to the human body without imparting discomfort to the wearer.

However, with the penis retainer in the aforementioned installed state, because the penis which is in this state in which it is pulled backward from below is tucked into the crotch area, this causes the scrotum to be sandwiched between the penis and the crotch area. Note that the two testes (testicles) enclosed within the scrotum will at this time ordinarily be separated such that one is displaced to the left and the other is displaced to the right by the penis.

Accordingly, with the penis retainer in the aforementioned installed state, although a state is achieved whereby the scrotum is secured centrally between the left and right sides thereof, being sandwiched between the penis and the bottom of the crotch area, the two testes are free to move about and are not reliably secured with respect to the human body. This being the case, were the wearer to engage in vigorous activity, movement of the testes or similar complications might be annoying or cause loss of concentration.

The present invention was conceived in light of such problems, it being an object thereof to provide a male undergarment that makes it possible for the penis, scrotum, and testes to be reliably and stably secured with respect to the human body.

Means for Solving the Problems

To solve the foregoing problems, a male undergarment associated with the present invention, in the context of a male undergarment for securing a penis by tucking the penis into a crotch area, is characterized in that the male undergarment comprises a tubular cloth penis retaining member that, during installation on a human body, is mounted below the crotch and allows the penis to be inserted into an interior space from a front opening thereof; a pouch-like scrotum retaining member that, during installation on the human body, envelops the penis retaining member and enshrouds the entire scrotum from the front opening, completely covering the penis, the testes, and the entire scrotum; a front connecting cord, one end of which is secured to a region at the front of the penis retaining member and a region at the front of the scrotum retaining member; and a back connecting cord, one end of which is secured to a region at the back of the penis retaining member and a region at the back of the scrotum retaining member; wherein, during installation on the human body, installation takes place as the region at the front of the penis retaining member and the region at the front of the scrotum retaining member are pulled upward from in front of the human body, and the region at the back of the penis retaining member and the region at the back of the scrotum retaining member are pulled upward from behind the human body, by securing the front connecting cord and the back connecting cord to the human body and/or a member installed on the human body.

Effect of the Invention

A male undergarment associated with the present invention makes it possible for the penis, scrotum, and testes to be reliably and stably secured with respect to the human body.

EMBODIMENTS FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the present invention will first be described in detail with reference to FIG. 1 through FIG. 3. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a male undergarment associated with the present embodiment. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a penis retaining member in the male undergarment associated with the present embodiment. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a scrotum retaining member in the male undergarment associated with the present embodiment. At FIG. 1 through FIG. 3, note that a region at lower left in the drawing corresponds to the front of the member in question, and would, during installation on a human body, be placed in front of the human body.

As shown in FIG. 1, a male undergarment associated with the present embodiment is equipped with penis retaining member 10, scrotum retaining member 20, and connecting member 30 for installing penis retaining member 10 and scrotum retaining member 20 on a human body. Penis retaining member 10 is equipped with cloth tube 11 having tubular portion 13 within which a penis is inserted during installation on the human body.

At FIG. 2, a region at lower left in the drawing (toward 14a, 14b) corresponds to the front of penis retaining member 10. During installation on the human body, the penis is inserted from a front opening of tubular portion 13, and penis retaining member 10 is arranged such that the front thereof is placed in front of the human body, and while in this state, is placed below the crotch so as to extend in a direction along a line connecting the front and back of the human body.

Penis retaining member 10 is formed from stocking material, tubular portion 13 being constituted by stitching together the edge regions at either side of two slender rectangular (strap-shaped) pieces of stocking material 11, 12. At FIG. 2, stocking material piece 11 is disposed so as to be the upper piece, and stocking material piece 12 is disposed so as to be the lower piece.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2, upper rectangular stocking material piece 11 is shorter than lower stocking material piece 12. Furthermore, stocking material pieces 11, 12 are stitched together such that the back ends thereof are made to coincide; and, at the front portion of penis retaining member 10, no tubular portion is formed, only lower stocking material piece 12 being present thereat.

Furthermore, front connecting cords 31a, 31b are respectively connected to edge regions 14a, 14b at the left and right sides of the front end of penis retaining member 10, and back connecting cords 32a, 32b are respectively connected to edge regions 15a, 15b at the left and right sides of the back end thereof.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, scrotum retaining member 20 is equipped with pouch-like pouch 21 which is open at the front and back ends thereof and which envelops penis retaining member 10, this pouch 21 being shaped so as to have large diameter at the front opening 22 thereof and so as to gradually become narrower toward the back end thereof starting from a point roughly midway along the direction of a line connecting the front and back thereof. Furthermore, creased regions 25a, 25b are respectively formed at left and right inside the back end region of pouch 21. Furthermore, front connecting cords 33a, 33b are respectively connected to edge regions 24a, 24b at left and right sides of the front end of pouch 21.

As shown in FIG. 1, when penis retaining member 10 and scrotum retaining member 20 are in a state such that they form a single integral structure, tubular penis retaining member 10 assumes a state such that it extends along the interior of pouch 21 of pouch-like scrotum retaining member 20. Furthermore, the front end of lower stocking material piece 12, which constitutes the front end of penis retaining member 10, is stitched along the end edge thereof so as to be sewn together with the front end of scrotum retaining member 20, causing penis retaining member 10 and scrotum retaining member 20 to form a single integral structure.

Furthermore, the diameter of the opening at the back end of penis retaining member 10 and the diameter of the opening at the back end of scrotum retaining member 20 are of the same size, and creased regions 25a, 25b at the back end of pouch 21 of scrotum retaining member 20 are respectively stitched together with and secured to end regions 15a, 15b at either side at the back end of penis retaining member 10. It is therefore possible, by pulling up on back connecting cords 32a, 32b, to pull up the back end regions of both the penis retaining member 10 and the scrotum retaining member 20 such that these are secured/installed with respect to the human body.

Note that because, as described below, the total length of penis retaining member 10 is slightly greater than the total length of penis retaining member 20, the constitution is such that the back end of tubular portion 12 of penis retaining member 10 protrudes somewhat to the exterior past the opening at the back end of scrotum retaining member 20.

But because front connecting cords 31a, 31b connected to the front end of penis retaining member 10, and front connecting cords 33a, 33b connected to the front end of scrotum retaining member 20, are respectively independent, it is possible to pull on the respective connecting cords 31, 33 so as to apply any appropriate desired tension to each of the retaining members 10, 20. This makes it possible to retain and secure the penis and scrotum—which differ in shape, location, and so forth from wearer to wearer—in a state that is suited to each respective wearer.

Note that, as was the case with penis retaining member 10, scrotum retaining member 20 and connecting member 30 (front connecting cords 31, 33; back connecting cords 32) are also manufactured from stocking material which is highly flexible.

Next, description will be given with respect to the size of male undergarment 1 when in its unstretched state prior to installation. The total length of penis retaining member 10 is 130 mm, and the inside diameter of the tubular portion 13 thereof is 25 mm. Furthermore, the total length of scrotum retaining member 20 is 120 mm, inside diameter of the front opening 22 being 50 mm, and inside diameter of the back opening being 25 mm.

Of course, the material from which penis retaining member 10 and scrotum retaining member 20 are constituted is not limited to stocking material, it being possible to vary this as appropriate so long as cloth members are employed. Note, however, that employment of material(s) having high flexibility is desirable for stably securing the penis, testes, and so forth. Furthermore, it goes without saying that sizes of the respective members making up male undergarment 1 may be varied as appropriate to suit the wearer. Furthermore, rubber and other such material(s) other than cloth members may be used for connecting member 30.

Detailed description of the constitution of male undergarment 1 having been given above, a procedure for installing male undergarment 1 will next be described in detail with reference to FIG. 4. FIG. 4 is a top view of the male undergarment associated with the present embodiment as it might appear when placed in front of the human body for installation thereon. As shown in same drawing, when installing male undergarment 1 on a human body, male undergarment 1 is first placed in front of the human body in a state such that the front of male undergarment 1 is made to face upward, and such that the region thereof at which the front ends of penis retaining member 10 and scrotum retaining member 20 are stitched together is made to face away.

Penis retaining member 10 is then installed on the penis. Specifically, the penis is inserted into tubular portion 13 until the glans penis is exposed as it protrudes from the back end of tubular portion 13. Because penis retaining member 10 is made from stocking material which is highly flexible, once installed thereon the entire tubular portion 13 adheres to the surface of the penis and the penis is prevented from easily coming free from tubular portion 13.

Moreover, by causing the foreskin to retract so as to completely expose the glans penis, it is possible to achieve a situation such that even should the penis attempt to come free from tubular portion 13 it would be prevented from coming free by virtue of the fact that the corona glandis portion thereof would be captured by the edge at the back end of tubular portion 13. Even where the wearer is a person with incomplete phimosis, it is therefore desirable when inserting the penis into tubular portion 13 that this be done in such fashion as to cause the glans penis to be completely exposed.

The penis, which is inserted within penis retaining member 10, is then directed downward and is pulled backward, and penis retaining member 10, within which the penis is inserted, is arranged below the crotch so as to extend in a direction along a line connecting front and back, and while in this state, is secured to the human body as front connecting cords 31a, 31b, one end of each of which is connected to the front end of penis retaining member 10, and back connecting cords 32a, 32b, one end of each of which is connected to the back end thereof, are lifted upward. This causes penis retaining member 10 to, firstly, be reliably installed on the human body.

Specifically, as front connecting cords 31a, 31b are pulled upward, they are respectively made to go around and toward the back from the left side and the right side of the human body in the general vicinity of the region above the hipbone, the respective ends thereof being tied to each other behind the human body. Moreover, as back connecting cords 32a, 32b are pulled upward, they are respectively made to go around and toward the front from the left side and the right side of the human body in the general vicinity of the region above the hipbone, the respective ends thereof being tied to each other in front of the human body.

By so doing, the downwardly directed penis inserted within penis retaining member 10 is pulled backward from below, in which state it is reliably secured by being surfacially tucked into the crotch area thereabove by the bottom surface of tubular portion 13. At this time, the scrotum is sandwiched between the penis and the crotch area, being reliably secured as a result of being tucked against the bottom surface of the crotch area by the penis. Furthermore, because the penis is located between the two testes, the two testes, while in this state, will be in a state such that there is a small tendency for them to move about freely.

Next, as front opening 22 of scrotum retaining member 20 is widened, pouch 21 is made to enshroud the scrotum so as to cover the testes and the entire scrotum. With these in this state, as front connecting cords 33a, 33b, one end of each of which is connected to the front end of scrotum retaining member 20, are pulled upward, they are respectively made to go around and toward the back from the left side and the right side of the human body in the general vicinity of the region above the hipbone, the respective ends thereof being tied to each other behind the human body.

Note that creased regions 25a, 25b at the back end of scrotum retaining member 20 are respectively connected and secured to back ends 15a, 15b of penis retaining member 10. It is therefore the case as described above that as back connecting cords 32a, 32b are pulled upward to secure this to the human body, this causes occurrence of a state in which the back end of scrotum retaining member 20 is also pulled upward. This causes the scrotum retaining member 20 to also be reliably secured with respect to the human body and causes the testes to be lifted up by pouch-like scrotum retaining member 20 and assume a state wherein they are tucked into the crotch area.

While installation of male undergarment 1 has been described above, it goes without saying that installation may take place through use of other procedures, the foregoing installation procedure being merely one example thereof. FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 show the male undergarment associated with the present embodiment as it might appear when worn. FIG. 5 is a front view showing the male undergarment as it might appear when worn, and FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing the male undergarment as it might appear when worn.

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, when male undergarment 1 is worn, penis retaining member 10, at which penis P is inserted within tubular portion 13, testes K, which are located to either side of penis P, and the scrotum are enveloped by scrotum retaining member 20 such that penis P, testes K, and the scrotum are covered and concealed by male undergarment 1.

Furthermore, as testes K, displaced to either side by penis P which is tucked into the crotch area in a downwardly directed state, are lifted up and tucked into the crotch area while being enveloped by pouch-like scrotum retaining member 20, this permits each to be separately secured. Note that, as shown in FIG. 6, the glans portion at the tip of penis P is in a state such that it is exposed where it protrudes from the back openings of penis retaining member 10 and scrotum retaining member 20 beneath the crotch. Accordingly, a wearer of male undergarment 1 is able to carry out urination while wearing male undergarment 1.

The male undergarment associated with the present embodiment having been described in detail above, the present embodiment makes it possible not only for the downwardly directed penis to be stably secured as a result of being tucked into the crotch area by the penis retaining member, but also makes it possible for the two testes, which are displaced to either side by the penis, to be stably secured as a result of being tucked into the crotch area together with the scrotum. Furthermore, because stocking material which is highly flexible is employed as the scrotum retaining member, it is possible for the testes to be enveloped and secured in soft fashion without causing the wearer to feel pain.

And with regard to the manner in which the penis is secured, because tucking thereof is made to occur in overlapping fashion by the penis retaining member and the scrotum retaining member, it is possible to more stably secure the penis by tucking it into the crotch area in downwardly directed fashion than would be the case were the penis retaining member used alone. Accordingly, even when engaged, for example, in sports or other such vigorous activity, this makes it possible to prevent occurrence of situations in which there would be annoyance or unpleasant sensation due to movement of penis, scrotum, testes, and so forth.

Furthermore, in accordance with the present embodiment, because, when the penis, testes, and scrotum are in a state in which they are secured as a result of being tucked into the crotch area, these are covered and concealed by the scrotum retaining member, the external appearance of the undergarment as it is worn is also satisfactory.

Note that the embodiments of the present invention are of course not limited to the foregoing embodiment, any number of variations being possible without departing from the gist of the present invention. For example, whereas in the foregoing embodiment the penis retaining member and the scrotum retaining member were partially sewn together to form a single integral constitution, these may be made to form a single integral structure by, for example, tying, buttoning, securing by means of surface fasteners, and/or the like. Furthermore, it is possible not to cause these to form a single integral structure but to keep them separate.

Furthermore, whereas, in the foregoing embodiment, connecting cords, one end of which were connected to the penis retaining member and the scrotum retaining member, were employed as connecting members for securing the male undergarment to the human body, said connecting cords being tied about the hipbone of the human body, the location at which the connecting cords are secured may be any arbitrary location, it being possible to do this, for example, at the shoulders by wrapping about the neck or the like. Furthermore, waist cord(s) secured about the waist and/or connecting cord(s) secured to undergarment(s) or other such member(s) installed on the human body may be employed.

Furthermore, whereas, in the foregoing embodiment, separate connecting cords for penis retaining member and scrotum retaining member were employed as front connecting cords, it is also possible to employ dual-purpose cords as was the case with the back connecting cords.
