Jean saver

The Jeans Saver is a device designed to protect the pant leg hem from friction wear and tear and from soiling. The Jean Saver is made of plastic or metal and or the combination of plastic and metal. The Jean Saver is a rectangular shaped, open sided, narrow channel designed to slip over the hemmed part of a garments pant leg. The Jean Saver is an arched clip made of translucent plastic or of metal that can be applied upon the rear-bottom hem of the legs of denim blue jeans and other pants garments, thus protecting them from frictional contact and the resultant damage thereof. The clip can also be made in colored formats for decorative purposes, and the exterior plane of this clip can also bear various images, logos and design enhancements, and which could even be separate from and attached upon the exterior plane, made of molded plastic or metal stamped front decoration(decorations will vary depending on brand affiliation). Size specs: 3.5″ w.×1″ h.(curved face)×0.6″ h.(ends, R&L) Side width: 0.2″ w. at bottom Top view: Curvature based on 8.5″ radius. Sizes are approximate and can vary.

Description

The Jean Saver can be made of high impact translucent, clear or opaque plastic, metals, man made and natural materials and or the combination of such materials. The Jean Saver can be a rectangular shaped, open sided, narrow channel, designed to slip over the hemmed part of a garments pant leg. It can be clipped on, sewn on or glued on. The Jean Saver is a device that can be applied upon the rear-bottom hem of the legs of denim blue jeans and other pants garments, thus protecting them from damage. Any appropriate dimension, shape and arc radius sizes can vary depending on type of garment device is intended for.

Directly behind the sides of the device are bracket clips of varying length and height This plastic version can be made with injection mold process. Format, material, dimensions and profile can change to accommodate designer and manufacturers specifications.

The device can also be made in colored formats for decorative purposes, and the exterior plane of this device can also bear various images, logos and design enhancements, and which could even be separate from and attached upon the exterior plane with adhesives, made of molded plastic, metals, man made and natural materials and or the combination of such materials for the front decorations(decorations will vary depending on intent and or brand affiliation).

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The Jean Saver was invented to solve the problem of wear and tear and or soiling which commonly occurs on hemmed areas of clothing garments, particularly the pant leg hem of jeans or pants. Noticing the fraying and hem destruction on my own pant leg hems, I came up with the idea to design a device that could slip over the hem and thus to protect the material from friction wear and tear and from soiling from contact with the ground and other surfaces your pant leg comes in contact with.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The “Jean Saver” is an arched clip made of translucent plastic, metal, natural and man made materials that can be applied upon the rear-bottom hem of the legs of denim blue jeans and other pants garments, thus protecting them from frictional contact and the resultant damage thereof. The clip can also be made in colored formats for decorative purposes, and the exterior plane of this clip can also bear various images, logos and design enhancements, and which could even be separate from and attached upon the exterior plane.

Invention Features

The “Jean Saver” can feature an arched plate, and clip walls forming the rear plane of this plate on each lateral end. An arc can extend from the top-center of the front wall.

Claims
