Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a paper-made cup, and more particularly, to a paper-made cup with a heat isolation part mounted outside of the cup.

(2) Description of the Prior Art

Most of the take-out beverages such as coffee, tea or even juice, are received in a take-out cup which is made by paper material for the economic consideration. However, the paper-made cups do not have satisfied heat isolation feature so that the temperature of the hot beverage cools down quickly and this affects the taste of the hot beverage. There is a improved cup developed which is shown in FIG. 1 and generally includes a paper-made cup and a bottom seals the underside of the cup, and at least one heat isolation part mounted to outside of the cup. The isolation part includes a connection portion and a downward body portion which is connected to the connection portion such that a gap is defined between the cup and the isolation part so as to keep the temperature of the beverage in the cup. Also, the isolation part reinforces the structural strength of the cup.

Nevertheless, the top section of the isolation part is connected to the connection portion and almost completely attached the outside of the cup, so that when the user holds the cup, most of the users hold the top section of the cup and where there is no gap defined between the cup and the isolation part, the user can feel the high temperature and cannot hold for a long time.

The present invention intends to provide a heat isolation cup wherein the gap is defined between the cup and the isolation part all the way from the top to the bottom so improve the conventional isolation cups.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a heat isolation cup and comprises a paper-made cup having a bottom sealing the underside of the cup and an open top. A lip made of plastic material is connected to an outer periphery of the open top of the cup and has a positioning portion. A heat isolation part is mounted to outside of the cup and has a top end thereof engaged with the positioning portion, and a bottom end of the heat isolation part is fixed to the outside of the cup. A gap is defined between the cup and the heat isolation part.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a heat isolation cup which includes a paper-made cup and a heat isolation part which is mounted to outside of the cup. A gap is defined between the cup and the whole inside of the heat isolation part so as to have better heat isolation feature.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view to show the heat isolation cup of the present invention;

FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view to show the second embodiment of the heat isolation cup of the present invention;

FIG. 6 is a cross sectional view to show the third embodiment of the heat isolation cup of the present invention, and

FIG. 7 is a cross sectional view to show the fourth second embodiment of the heat isolation cup of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 2 to 7, the heat isolation cup of the present invention comprises a paper-made cup 10, a lip 20 and a heat isolation part 30, wherein the cup 10 is includes a bottom 11 sealing the underside of the cup 10 and an open top 12. The lip 20 made of plastic material is connected to the outer periphery of the open top 12 of the cup 10.

The lip 20 is an annular part which is made by plastic material, biobase plastic material or bio-degradable plastic material. The lip 20 is integrally formed to the outer periphery of the open top 12 of the cup 10 by way of injection molding, heat pressing, ultra sonic welding or high frequency welding. The lip 20 has a positioning portion 21 which is a groove.

The heat isolation part 30 is mounted to outside of the cup 10 and has a top end thereof which is engaged with the positioning portion 21, or is connected to the positioning portion 21 by way of gluing or heat fusion. The bottom end of the heat isolation part 30 includes a protrusion which is folded inward toward the cup 10 and is fixed to the cup 10. A gap is defined between the outside of the cup 10 and the whole inside of the heat isolation part 30. The gap has better heat isolation feature. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, when the top end of the heat isolation part 30 is engaged with the positioning portion 21, the bottom end of the heat isolation part 30 can be easily controlled to be connected to desired position of the cup 10. As shown in FIG. 6, the bottom end of the heat isolation part 30 can also be without the protrusion and is directly connected to the outside of the cup 10. This is because the users hold the cup 10 at the top portion of the cup 10 so that the gap is defined between the top portion of the cup 10 and the heat isolation part 30.

As shown in FIG. 7, the bottom 11 of the cup 10 is made of plastic material which is integrally formed to the cup 10 by way of injection molding, heat pressing, high frequency welding or ultra sonic welding. The bottom 11 includes a positioning groove 111 which is located corresponding to the positioning part 21, and the bottom end of the isolation part 30 is engaged with the positioning groove 111.

By the engagement of the top end of the isolation part 30 and the positioning portion 21, the inside of the isolation part 30 is not directly attached to the outside of the cup 10 so as to keep the temperature of the beverage in the cup 10 and the user can hold the cup 10 comfortably.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
