CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This non-provisional application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. §119(a) on Patent Application No(s). 100205867 filed in Taiwan, R.O.C. on Apr. 1, 2011, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a headband, and more particularly to a headband structure that includes an ornament movably connected to a headband main body, so that the ornament can be easily removed, replaced, and shifted according to a user's actual need and thereby gives the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Generally, a conventional headband structure includes a headband main body and an ornament. The ornament is connected at a bottom to a top of the headband main body using a hot-melt adhesive, so as to provide an ornamental effect and decorate a user's hair.

While the conventional headband structure functions to decorate the user's hair, the ornament thereof is fixedly adhered to the headband main body using hot-melt adhesive and therefore could not be removed from the headband main body and replaced with another one to better match the user's garment and hair style. That is, the user has to purchase many headbands with different ornaments for matching different garments and hair styles. It is of course non-economical to do so. Moreover, the ornament connected to the headband main body using hot-melt adhesive is easily separable from the headband main body under an external pull force applied thereto, particularly when the headband structure has been used over a long period of time. Therefore, the conventional headband structure with a fixed ornament attached thereto fails to create changeful and esthetic appearances for matching the user's different garments and hairstyles.

It is therefore tried by the inventor to develop an improved headband structure that allows a user to freely replace or shift the ornament thereof and give the headband changeful and esthetic appearances for matching the user's garments and hairstyles.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved headband structure that includes at least one ornament movably connected to a headband main body via a connecting element, so that the ornament can be freely removed, replaced, or shifted by a user according to actual need to give the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances.

To achieve the above and other objects, the headband structure according to the present invention includes a headband main body and at least one ornamental unit movably connected to the headband main body; and the ornamental unit includes an ornament and a connecting element provided between the ornament and the headband main body.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ornament can be of any shapes, including but not limited to a variety of plant and animal configurations and geometrical patterns.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the connecting element is a magic tape consisting of a loop tape and a hook tape; the loop tape is optionally provided on any one of a top of the headband main body and a bottom of the ornament, and the hook tape is provided on any one of the bottom of the ornament and the top of the headband main body corresponding to the loop tape.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, the connecting element is an elastic sleeve provided on a bottom of the ornament and movably fitted on around the headband main body.

According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the connecting element is a non-elastic sleeve provided on a bottom of the ornament and movably fitted on around the headband main body.

According to a still further embodiment of the present invention, the connecting element includes an elastic sleeve fitted on around the headband main body, a loop tape optionally provided on a top of the elastic sleeve or a bottom of the ornament, and a hook tape provided on the bottom of the ornament or the top of the elastic sleeve corresponding to the loop tape.

In brief, with the headband structure of the present invention, the ornament of the ornamental unit is movably connected to the headband main body via the connecting element, allowing a user to freely remove, replace or shift the ornament and give the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The present invention will now be described with some preferred embodiments thereof and with reference to the accompanying drawings. For the purpose of easy to understand, elements that are the same in the preferred embodiments are denoted by the same reference numerals.

Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2 that are exploded perspective view and fragmentary assembled side view, respectively, of a headband structure according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the headband in the first embodiment includes a headband main body 1 and at least one ornamental unit 2.

The headband main body 1 of the headband structure can be made of a plastic material, a metal material, a plastic material covered with a cloth material, or a metal material covered with a cloth material (not shown).

The ornamental unit 2 is movably connected to the headband main body 1, and includes an ornament 21 and a connecting element 22 provided between the headband main body 1 and the ornament 21. The ornament 21 can be of any shapes, including but not limited to various plant and animal configurations or geometrical patterns. The connecting element 22 can be, for example, a magic tape consisting of a loop tape 221 and a hook tape 222. The loop tape 221 can be optionally provided on a top of the headband main body 1 or a bottom of the ornament 21, and the hook tape 222 can be provided on the bottom of the ornament 21 or the top of the headband main body 1 corresponding to the loop tape 221.

When using the headband structure of the first embodiment, a user may movably connect the ornament 21 of the ornamental unit 2 to the headband main body 1 by attaching the loop tape 221 or the hook tape 222 of the connecting element 22 on the top of the headband main body 1 to the hook tape 222 or the loop tape 221 on the bottom of the ornament 21. That is, the ornament 21 of the ornamental unit 2 connected to the headband main body 1 can be removed therefrom and replaced by another different ornament 21 as needed, allowing a user to use different ornaments 21 for matching the user's garment and hair style and give the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances. Two or more ornamental units 2 (not shown) can be optionally provided on the top of the headband main body 1 at different positions, and the user may connect two or more ornaments 21 to the headband main body 1 via the connecting elements 22. In this manner, it is possible to create more changeful and esthetic ornamental effects using one single headband main body 1 of the headband structure.

FIGS. 3 and 4 are exploded perspective view and fragmentary assembled side view, respectively, of a headband structure according to a second embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 5 shows the headband structure of the second embodiment in use. As shown, the headband structure in the second embodiment is generally structurally similar to the first embodiment, except for an ornamental unit 2a that consists of an ornament 21a and a connecting element 22a. In the second embodiment, the connecting element 22a is provided on a bottom of the ornament 21a and is in the form of an elastic or non-elastic sleeve. In the illustrated second embodiment, the connecting element 22a is an elastic sleeve being movably fitted around the headband main body 1.

When using the headband structure of the second embodiment, a user may movably connect the ornament 21a of the ornamental unit 2a to the headband main body 1 via the connecting element 22a. That is, the user may stretch and shift the elastic sleeve of the connecting element 22a along the headband main body 1, so as to remove the ornament 21a from the headband main body 1, replace the ornamental unit 2a with another one that has a different ornament 21a, or move the ornament 21a to a different position on the headband main body 1 as needed. Therefore, different ornaments 21a can be used to match the user's garments and hair styles and give the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances.

Please refer to FIG. 6 that is an exploded perspective view of a headband structure according to a third embodiment of the present invention, and to FIG. 7 that shows the headband structure of the third embodiment in use. As shown, the third embodiment is generally structurally similar to the first and second embodiments, except for an ornamental unit 2b that consists of an ornament 21b and a connecting element 22b. In the third embodiment, the connecting element 22b includes an elastic sleeve 223b fitted on around any desired position on the headband main body 1, a loop tape 224b optionally provided on a top of the elastic sleeve 223b or on a bottom of the ornament 21b, and a hook tape 225b provided on the bottom of the ornament 21b or the top of the elastic sleeve 223b corresponding to the loop tape 224b.

When using the headband structure of the third embodiment, the ornament 21b of the ornamental unit 2b can be connected to the headband main body 1 by attaching the loop tape 224b or the hook tape 225b of the connecting element 22b provided on the bottom of the ornament 21b to the hook tape 225b or the loop tape 224b provided on the top of the elastic sleeve 223b. Therefore, the ornament 21b of the ornamental unit 2b can be easily connected to or removed from the headband main body 1, or be replaced with another different ornament, or be moved to different positions on the headband main body 1 simply according to the user's actual need, so as to give the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances.

The headband structure of the present invention is novel and improved because the ornament of the ornamental unit is movably connected to the headband main body via a connecting element, allowing free replacement or movement of the ornament on the headband main body to thereby give the headband structure changeful and esthetic appearances with one single headband main body. The present invention is also commercially valuable because products derived from the present invention would no doubt satisfy the current market demands.
