Fin for Swimming, Diving and the Like

A fin includes a blade and a foot pocket mounted on a front end of the blade. The blade includes a rubber layer having two opposite sides, and two carbon fiber units mounted on the two opposite sides of the rubber layer respectively. The rubber layer is provided between the two carbon fiber units so as to enhance the elastic coefficient of the blade so that the blade has greater elasticity and flexibility. Thus, when the blade is worn by a user who is swimming or diving in the water, the blade can be flexed and deflected to respond to the moving direction of the water current so as to decrease the drag applied on the blade so that the blade is moved in the water easily, thereby greatly saving the user's energy.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a swimming tool and, more particularly, to a fin or flipper for swimming, diving and the like.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional fin, which is available for swimming, diving and the like, comprises a blade and a foot pocket mounted on the front end of the blade. Thus, when a user wears the fin, the blade is moved in the water with a larger contact area between the blade and the water current to increase the moving speed of the fin in the water so as to aid the user swimming or diving in the water. However, the blade is made of a harder material so that the user has to apply a larger force to swing or move the blade, thereby wasting the user's energy, and thereby easily causing an uncomfortable sensation or even danger to the user.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a fin, comprising a blade and a foot pocket mounted on a front end of the blade. The blade includes a rubber layer having two opposite sides, and two carbon fiber units mounted on the two opposite sides of the rubber layer respectively.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a fin with greater elasticity.

According to the primary advantage of the present invention, the rubber layer is provided between the two carbon fiber units so as to largely enhance the elastic coefficient of the blade so that the blade has greater elasticity and flexibility.

According to another advantage of the present invention, when the blade is worn by a user who is swimming or diving in the water, the blade can be flexed and deflected efficiently to respond to the moving direction of the water current so as to decrease the drag applied on the blade by the water current so that the blade produces a larger dynamic energy and is moved in the water easily and conveniently, thereby greatly saving the user's energy, and thereby facilitating the user moving in the water.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a fin 10 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a blade 12 and a foot pocket 11 mounted on a front end of the blade 12.

The blade 12 includes a rubber layer 14 having two opposite sides, and two carbon fiber units 13 mounted on the two opposite sides of the rubber layer 14 respectively.

The rubber layer 14 is sandwiched between the two carbon fiber units 13. The rubber layer 14 includes a plurality of rubber pieces 141. The rubber pieces 141 of the rubber layer 14 are spaced each other. The rubber layer 14 further includes a plurality of spaces 142 defined between the rubber pieces 141.

Each of the two carbon fiber units 13 includes two carbon fiber layers 130. Preferably, the two carbon fiber layers 130 of each of the two carbon fiber units 13 laminate each other.

In practice, the rubber layer 14 is sandwiched between the two carbon fiber units 13 to enhance the elastic coefficient of the blade 12 so that the blade 12 has greater elasticity and flexibility. Thus, when the blade 12 is worn by a user who is swimming or diving in the water, the blade 12 is flexed and deflected to respond to the moving direction of the water current so as to decrease the drag applied on the blade 12 by the water current so that the blade 12 is moved in the water easily and conveniently, thereby saving the user's energy, and thereby facilitating the user moving in the water.

Accordingly, the rubber layer 14 is provided between the two carbon fiber units 13 so as to largely enhance the elastic coefficient of the blade 12 so that the blade 12 has greater elasticity and flexibility. In addition, when the blade 12 is worn by a user who is swimming or diving in the water, the blade 12 can be flexed and deflected efficiently to respond to the moving direction of the water current so as to decrease the drag applied on the blade 12 by the water current so that the blade 12 produces a larger dynamic energy and is moved in the water easily and conveniently, thereby greatly saving the user's energy, and thereby facilitating the user moving in the water.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A fin, comprising:

a blade; and
a foot pocket mounted on a front end of the blade;
wherein the blade includes:
a rubber layer having two opposite sides; and
two carbon fiber units mounted on the two opposite sides of the rubber layer respectively.

2. The fin of claim 1, wherein the rubber layer is sandwiched between the two carbon fiber units.

3. The fin of claim 1, wherein the rubber layer includes a plurality of rubber pieces.

4. The fin of claim 3, wherein the rubber pieces of the rubber layer are spaced each other.

5. The fin of claim 4, wherein the rubber layer further includes a plurality of spaces defined between the rubber pieces.

6. The fin of claim 1, wherein each of the two carbon fiber units includes two carbon fiber layers.

7. The fin of claim 6, wherein the two carbon fiber layers of each of the two carbon fiber units laminate each other.
