Description

WEAVABLES are designed to hold hair weave, to make the hair weave more accessible for the hair dresser, it is in a design of a Crown or Board. There are two positions in which one may access Weavables, (1) clamp or (2) Floor Stand; both are available in Crown or Board. With these choices a hair dresser can make the most comfortable choice for themselves. The Weavables (1) Clamp Crown or Board, clamps to a desk, table or counter of the hair dresser. The Weavables (2) Floor Stand, stands free from any attachments to desk, table and counter the top is either a Crown or Board.

Weavable, Crown or Board by Clamp or Floor Stand will be made in plastic of different types, colors and may have a imprint or glued design at the top, sides, and bottom. Weavables, Crown or Board by Clamp or Floor Stand will be made in wood in different carving or glued designs, on the top, sides or bottom and in many colors, by stain or paint. Weavables Crown or Board by Clamp or Floor Stand will be made in light weight metal types, made in different colors, or painted colors and many designs on the top, sides and bottom.

It has been stated that Weavables Clamp for Crown or Board has a rig which is no more than the top portion of the Clamp or Floor Stand has ridged sides, it is a flat piece of material with ridged sides and another piece of flat material that slides over each other and screwed together.

The Weavables Clamp base looks like an upside down F which is either made in one piece or two pieces to make one piece. Weavables Clamp base that is one piece looks like an upside down F, it may be metal which may be overlaid with paint, wood or plastic.

It has three major identifiable portions: (a) stem portion which is the longest portion and is on the outer position of the desk, table or counter, the length is 10 ½ inches, and width of 4 inches, more details of this portion will be explained later (b) the middle platform, which lays on top of the desk, table or counter, it is positioned 8 ½ inches down from the top of the stem and extends forth 4 ½ inches in length from the stem, the width is 4 inches, the thickness of the platform is 1 centimeters. The middle platform has a thin layer of rubber with the length of 6 ½ centimeters and a width of 6 ½ centimeters and it is glued to the side that touches the desk, table, or counter, before gluing to middle platform position it 1 inch from the front edge of that platform. (c) The lower platform, which goes underneath of the desk, table, or counter, there is the space between the middle platform and lower platform of 1 2/8 inches. The lower platform extend straight form the bottom of the (a) portion of the stem 6 ½ inches in length with a ½ centimeter bent backwards, platform with the width of 4 inches, it is 1 centimeter thick. There is a hole in the center of the lower platform approximately 2 inches from the (a) portion of the stem there is a knob screw that will screw in this hole. At the top of this knob screw will be a square platform screw covered with thin rubber on the top that would turn counter clockwise onto of the knob screw. When the knob screw is turned clockwise it forms a tight fit to the desk, table, or counter.

The Weavables Clamp base, that come in two pieces gives a greater span to open for the desk, table or counter. The two pieces to this clamp are both in the shape of an L that lock together by a screw to create one upside down F shape.

The longer upper L shape is the middle platform with the length of 9 inches, it is 4 inches wide, the platform extends from the very bottom is 4 ½ inches long, 4 inches wide, from the front edge of this platform on the side that touches the desk, table, or counter, there is the thin layer of rubber that is 6 ½ centimeters by 6 ½ centimeters, the thickness of the this L is 1 centimeter it also has ridged sides of ½ inch facing away from the desk, table, or counter, the ridged sides go upward 4 inches from the bottom of the stem, there are three holes going upward in the center starting 1 inch from the bottom. These holes are 5/16 inch opening at ½ inch apart. This allows the second L to slide onto the first L to screw together. The lower L is 6 inches long and the width is 4 inches, the very bottom is the platform that is 6 ½ long and 4 inches wide, the thickness is 1 centimeter, there are three holes 5/16 inch opening at ½ inch apart starting approximately 2 2/10 centimeters from the top of stem. These holes allow for adjustment of the Weavables, the open span between the middle platform and lower platform.

Weavables will come in a set also that will allow a person to choose the size knob length that is best suited for them when using the two piece Weavables.

The one piece Weavables upper backside of stem portion of the Clamp where the Crown or Board will fit into or onto there will either be a round opening at the top, or square or remain flat with ridged sides. Detail of this will be explained further.

When Weavables Clamp base stem are metal and at the top there is a round or square opening, it is shaped by the mould, the backside is round or square and front side is flat. Making it possible for plastic or wood sleeve that will slide onto the metal in the front and/or be glued to it. The plastic or wood will be position the length of stem up to the point of the middle platform on the front side. The round circumference of the around hole on the backside is 7 inches, when it is square it is 4 inches wide and 2 inches in length, the shaft of it will be 5 inches long with closed end or open ended.

The shaft with the closed end is to place the end of the Crown or Board in the opening after applying a thick round rubber band at the desired position along the stem. The Clamp stem that is a open shaft will have three holes starting 1 inch from the top going down the side, each hole is 5/16 inch and a ½ inch apart, the holes will go all the way through so that a nut and screw may be used. Then there is the round open end shaft that has three holes at the top starting 1 inch down the middle having 5/16 inch holes around and being ½ inch apart for the use of a spring button.

When Weavables Clamp base stem at the top are flat with ridged sides facing away from the desk, table or counter, the ridge starts from the very top going down 4 inches, then 1 inch from the top there are three 5/16 inch holes a ½ inch apart going downward, then the flat end of the Crown or Board with its three holes are placed over it and screwed tight.

Weavables may be made entirely out of plastic wherein the first 5 inches of the stem may be different and the rest is flat, however the length of the stem will remain 10 ½ inches long with the middle platform starting at 8 ½ inches from the top, and the lower platform at the end of the stem. There is no need for a difference in front or back as in the metal base.

Weavables Clamp plastic base in one piece is 10 ½ inches in length for stem, then the first 5 inches of it is round or square and the rest of it is flat, the flat portion is 4 inches wide, middle platform starts 8 ½ inches down from top of stem, middle platform 4 ½ inches length, 4 inches width, when mould is finished place thin rubber 6 ½ centimeter by 6 ½ centimeter pad placed 1 inch from tip of middle platform on the side that touches the desk, table or counter, the lower platform at the very end of the stem, extends 6 ½ inches and bends backwards ½ centimeter, thickness of the stem and platform is 1 centimeter, there is a hole in the center of the lower platform that beings 2 inches away from stem, for the knob screw to be placed. When Clamp is made in all plastic, 5 inches of top portion of clamp will be hollowed, it may be square or round, the rest of the stem will be flat. The square has a perimeter of 12 inches, so it will be 4 inches wide and 2 inches in length perimeter is hollowed out 8 2/10 centimeters wide and 2 9/10 length, when it is round the circumference 7 inches, then 16 2/8 circumference is hollowed out. There will be three hole going down the backside not all the way through or three holes going down the side all the way through, according to the attachment of the Crown or Board, depending on the use of screw or spring button.

The round or square shaft with no holes that is closed ended, will allow for the end of the Crown or Board to be placed into it after a thick round rubber band is put on the stem of the Crown or Board. The Weavables Clamp plastic base that is in one piece that is flat will have at the first 4 inches of the top are ridged on each side that have the height of ½ inch up facing away from the desk, table or counter, and this portion has three hole going down starting 1 inch from the top.

The Weavables Floor Stand consist of 4 wheels on 4 short legs that may or may not be attached to base, which is either round or square. The base then has a pole screwed in the center that may be round or square, then there are other poles that may be put in place or by use of spring button or screw, before the Crown or Board is attached.

Wheel size should be about 2 inches 50 mm swivel or 1 ⅝ inches 40 mm swivel. The base may be made out of plastic, wood or metal, it is necessary that all Floor Stand base have a weight in them for balance.

If it is plastic or metal the mould of the base will consist of the 4 short legs that the wheels would push up or screw in. If the base it is made out of wood the 4 short legs may be screwed on or glued. There is the case where the metal weight is over laid with wood and has the 4 short legs already included in it.

The base round or square is hollowed to fit the 15 lb weight, which has a hole through the center as well as the base, to screw into the first pole. The base may be square 12 inches length and 12 width or 14 inches length, 14 inches width or round with circumference of 45 inches.

The pole length may differ in a set, for choice of height: pole (1) 25 inches, pole (2) 27 inches, pole (3) 29 inches and a standard pole (4) 23 inches. All plastic and metal poles are hollow until 1 inch of the end which is solid except for the center hole grooved out for a screw. When the pole is a round opening, circumference is 7 inches around, it may have three holes down the center 5/16 inch and a ½ inch apart for the use of a spring button, or there may be three holes on the side going through to the other side for the use of a screw.

When the pole is a square opening the perimeter is 12 inches around, 4 inches width, 2 inches length, it may have three holes only on one side down the wide side of, in the center 5/16 inch holes that are a ½ inch apart for the use of a spring button, or there may be three holes on the wide side going through to the other side for the use of a screw. If the pole is made out of wood it is solid except for 5 inches of the top which is hollowed out. The square portion that is hollowed out down for 5 inches by 8 2/10 centimeter wide, and 2 8/10 centimeter in length.

If the main pole is plastic or metal with an open end at the top and no holes, but slightly indented at 5 inches down, place an extension poles with a flat rubber band which fits into that pole to allow the Weavables Crown or Board to attach to main pole. The end of the extension that fits in the main pole is the same shape, however,

    • the top may be round or square or flat with ridges sides at the top.

If the extension is round it may just be a open shaft wherein the thick rubber band is placed on the stem of the Crown or Board first then placed into the Floor Stand, or it may be round with three holes on one side going down the middle for the use of a spring button or three holes going down the side all the way through to the other side for a screw and nut.

When the Crown Weavables are entirely plastic or metal, the mould is set that everything is attached to the stem which is round and closed at the top, there is the base blade which is put on top of the stem. Next there are three other blades going across the base blade, next each blade has ten flat rolls on top of them each. When the mould is complete there are foam rolls that are split down the length midway of the roll, having a small hole through the middle length wise, they are placed on each flat roll. Explanation of this type of Weavable Crown. The stem length is 15 inches, which 5 inches from the bottom of the stem is designed to be placed into Clamp or Floor Stand, when round circumference is 16 9/10 centimeters, then insert the end of the stem after a thick round rubber band is placed on the desired height, the next way 1 inch from the bottom of the stem there is a hole placed all the way through the 16 9/10 centimeters round stem, making it possible for a screw to go through, the next way is 1 ½ inch from the bottom of the stem is hollowed out with the circumference of 16 5/10 centimeters and one hole is placed on one side allowing for a spring button to be placed in this hole.

The last way is a flat end of the round stem is, for the last 5 inches of the stem that is 1 ½ centimeter thick to be placed on a ridge Clamp or Floor Stand. The measurement of initial stem is 15 inches long, 16 9/10 centimeters around, base blade is 7 ½ inches long, 1 inch wide, the cross blade are 15 inches long, width 1 inches, the first cross blade is laid across the base blade at the 1 inch mark from the end, second blade is laid at the 3 2/8 mark and the last blade is laid at the 5 ⅜ mark. There is a hook at the being of each one of these blades, the 10 flat rolls that are laid on each blade have the length of 2 ½ inches length, width of 1 ⅛ inch, each flat roll has a space of ½ centimeter between them each, foam roll is 2 ½ long with circumference of 3 ½ inches around.

When the Crown Weavables are entirely plastic and have a square stem, the only changes in measurements is the stem, all other measurements stay the same for the blades, flat roll and foam rolls. The square stem which is a part of the mould is 15 inches long with the last 5 inches designed to be placed in the Clamp or Floor Stand. The stem is 15 inches long in total, 4 inches wide with 2 inches length making a perimeter of 12 inches for 10 inches of the stem and then 5 inches of the bottom end of the stem measure to be 2 9/10 centimeters length and 7 9/10 centimeter wide. This 5 inch part is the part that will inter the Clamp or Board base, if it is open ended with no hole it will be placed in the open end after a thick round rubber band is placed at the desired height.

Next type is a pole with the same measurement, there will be three hole starting 1 inch from the very bottom, they go all the way through to the other side, the hole is for a screw to go through it, next type, the bottom end is hollowed out 1 ½ inch upward from the bottom, hollow it out 2 5/10 centimeters length and 7 5/10 centimeters wide, next a hole is placed on only one side as to allow for a spring button, the next type, is the last 5 inches of the stem is flatten, it is 3 ⅞ inches wide, 1 ½ centimeter thick, with one hole all the way through, 1 inch from the bottom this is so that it can be placed on a ridged Clamp or Floor Stand and be screwed tight. Now if the Weavables Crown is metal, the mould will be set to the same plastic degree, round or square with same measurements and designed as the plastic. In some metals it may be necessary to weld the base blade on to the stem, then weld the three blades on to the base blade, then weld the flat rolls onto the blades. When creating the Weavables Crown in wood it has the measurements the same as the plastic round or square, the only difference is that the wood has to be glued and screwed together. Weather the type is round or square the base blade is centered on the stem and screwed on, each blade that is placed on the base blade is also centered and screwed onto it. The flat rolls are glued and screwed, the foam rolls are glued onto the flat rolls always even in plastic and metal.

The Board Weavables have the same measurements as the plastic stem in all the types and ways that it is made, the stem, be it round or square when made in plastic or metal it is a part of the mould in that it is attached to the back of the Board which is 12 inches length, 19 inches wide. The stem is placed 5 inches from the top on the back in the center of the Board. The front of the Board has 5 rows down of flat slightly rolled flaps, so there will be 5 rows of 8 flat slightly rolled flaps, they are placed 2 ½ inches down from the top and 2 ½ inches from side, the flat slightly rolled flaps are spaced 1 centimeter a part and the rows have 1 inch space between them, the flat slightly rolled flaps are ½ inch length, 1 ½ inch wide. They will hold foam rolls in each one that are 1 ½ inch wide with the circumference 3 ½ inches around. When Board Weavables are made in wood all the measurements are the same as plastic. The difference is that the wood has to be screwed and glued together as in the stem must be placed 5 inches down from the top, first glue it and put two screw a ½ inch apart in it below the last flat slightly rolled flap in the center. The space left on the top, bottom and sides are there for different designs. For examples of Weavables Crown or Board, see drawings on pages 16 thru 19.

All screws except for the knob used in the lower level of the Clamp, are wing screws with wing nuts, they will be threaded from the top under the head to the flat end, here are some screw sizes for Weavables would be 5/16″×1″, 1 ½″, 2″, 2 ½″ with the reference to: U.S. Pat.
