FAN HOLDER

A fan holder for mounting a fan includes a casing for receiving the fan and a board. The casing includes a bottom wall, two sidewalls perpendicularly extending up from opposite sides of the bottom wall and an end wall perpendicularly connected between ends of the sidewalls. The sidewalls each define a number of one-to-one slots parallel to the end wall and corresponding to the plurality of one-to-one first slots of the other sidewall. The board is selectively engaged in two corresponding one-to-one slots of both of the sidewalls, to sandwich the fan together with the end wall.

Description
BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The present disclosure relates to a holder for holding a fan.

2. Description of Related Art

In computer systems, fans fixing apparatuses are used to fix fans. However, since there are different kinds of fans, it is often costly to supply different kinds of fan fixing apparatuses to fix the corresponding fans.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Many aspects of the present embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, all the views are schematic, and like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.

FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of an exemplary embodiment of a fan holder with a fan.

FIG. 2 is an assembled, isometric view of the fan holder and the fan of FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.

Referring to FIG. 1, an exemplary embodiment of a fan holder for mounting a fan 10 includes a casing 20 and a board 30.

The fan 10 includes two spaced end boards 12.

The casing 20 includes a bottom wall 22, two sidewalls 24 extending up in a substantially perpendicular manner from opposite sides of the bottom wall 22, an end wall 26 perpendicularly connected between first ends of the sidewalls 24, and a connection portion 28 perpendicularly connecting between tops of second ends of the sidewalls 24. The bottom wall 22 defines a plurality of slots 220 parallel to the end wall 26 in the top of the bottom wall 22. Each sidewall 24 defines a plurality of slots 240 in the inner surface of the sidewall 24. A bottom end of each slot 240 perpendicularly communicates with a corresponding end of a corresponding slot 220. A top end of each slot 240 extends through the top of the sidewall 24. The end wall 26 defines a vent 260 in a center. Two hooks 262 perpendicularly extend from a top of the end wall 26 toward the connection portion 28.

The board 30 is rectangular, and defines a vent 300 in a center. Two hooks 302 perpendicularly extend from a top of the board 30.

Referring to FIG. 2, in assembly, the fan 10 is received in the casing 20. One of the end boards 12 abuts against the inner surface of the end wall 26. The hooks 262 extend above the top of the end board 12 to engage with a side of the end board 12 facing the other end board 12. The board 30 is inserted into two corresponding slots 240 of the sidewalls 24 adjacent to the other end board 12, until the bottom end of the board 30 is engaged in the corresponding slot 220. Therefore, the vents 300 is in alignment with the fan 10. The hooks 302 extend above a top of the other end board 12 and engages with a side of the other end board 12 facing the end wall 26.

It is believed that the present embodiments and their advantages will be understood from the foregoing description, and various changes may be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the description or sacrificing all of their material advantages, the examples hereinbefore described merely being exemplary embodiments.
