Quick Assemble Shelf

A quick assemble shelf has a foldable main frame, a bar assembly, a bottom frame, a top panel and a drawer assembly. The foldable main frame has two rear panels connected pivotally to each other and two side panels respectively connected pivotally to the rear panels. The bar assembly is mounted in a front of the main frame and has multiple receiving intervals. The bottom frame is covered on a bottom of the main frame. The top panel is covered on a top of the main frame. The drawer assembly is mounted in the main frame and the bar assembly and has multiple drawers mounted slidably in the receiving intervals of the bar assembly.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a shelf, especially to a quick assemble shelf.

2. Description of the Prior Arts

Assembling furniture by oneself has become more and more popular these days. Shelves are one of the furniture that is widely assembled by user. The conventional shelf comprises multiple panels, multiple frames and multiple optional drawers. Each panel is connected to adjacent panels by fasteners. Assembling the convention shelf costs a lot of time since the user needs to connect adjacent panels one by one.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a quick assemble shelf to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a quick assemble shelf The quick assemble shelf has a foldable main frame, a bar assembly, a bottom frame, a top panel and a drawer assembly. The foldable main frame has two rear panels connected pivotally to each other and two side panels respectively connected pivotally to the rear panels. The bar assembly is mounted in a front of the main frame and has multiple receiving intervals. The bottom frame is covered on a bottom of the main frame. The top panel is covered on a top of the main frame. The drawer assembly is mounted in the main frame and the bar assembly and has multiple drawers mounted slidably in the receiving intervals of the bar assembly.

Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIG. 1, a quick assemble shelf in accordance with the present invention comprises a main frame 10, a bar assembly 20, a bottom frame 30, a top panel 40 and a drawer assembly 50.

With reference to FIGS. 2 to 4, the main frame 10 is foldable and comprises two rear panels 11 and two side panels 12. The rear panels 11 are connected pivotally to each other. In a preferred embodiment, each rear panel 11 has a length, a bottom edge, an inner edge 111, an outer edge 112, a front wall 113 and a rear wall 114. The inner edges 111 of the rear panels 11 are connected pivotally to each other via at least one hinge 115 and are selectively attached securely to each other via at least one rear fastener 116. In a preferred embodiment, at least one rear fastener 116 is mounted against the rear wall 114. The side panels 12 are respectively connected pivotally to the rear panels 11. Each side panel 12 has a length. When the rear panels 11 are pivoted to overlap with each other, the side panels 12 overlap with the rear panels 11. The length of each side panel 12 is larger than the length of each rear panel 11.

In a preferred embodiment, each side panel 12 has an inside wall 121, a rear rib 122, a front rib 123, multiple connecting holes 124, a top receiving seat 125, a bottom receiving seat 126, at least one partition rib 127, an outside wall 128 and a top rib 129. The rear rib 122 is formed longitudinally on the inside wall 121 and abuts a rear edge of the side panel 12. The front rib 123 is formed longitudinally on the inside wall 121 and abuts a front edge of the side panel 12. A mounting seat 1231 is formed on the inside wall 121 and abuts the front rib 123. The connecting holes 124 are formed through the front rib 123. The top receiving seat 125 is formed on the inside wall 121 and is near a top edge of the side panel 12. The bottom receiving seat 126 is formed on the inside wall 121 and is near a bottom edge of the side panel 12. At least one partition rib 127 is separately formed transversely on the inside wall 121. The top rib 129 is formed on the outside wall 128 and abuts the top edge of the side panel 12.

With reference to FIGS. 5 to 9, the bar assembly 20 is mounted in a front of the main frame 10 and comprises multiple bars 21, a top support 22 and multiple receiving intervals 23. Each bar 21 is mounted between the side panels 12 of the main frame 10 and has two stepped ends 211 and two mounting pins 212. The stepped ends 211 respectively abut against the front rib 123 of the side panels 12. The mounted pins 212 are formed respectively on and protrude out from the stepped ends 211 of the bar 21. Each mounting pin 212 is inserted in a corresponding connecting hole 124. One of the bars 21 abuts against and is attached securely to the bottom edges of the side panels 12 via multiple bottom fasteners 213. The top support 22 is mounted between the side panels 12 of the main frame 10, is adjacent to the top edges of the side panels 12 and has multiple mounting pins 221, two mounting seats 222 and a top rib 223. The mounting pins 221 are formed respectively on two ends of the top support 22 and each mounting pin 221 is inserted into a corresponding connecting hole 124. Each mounting seat 222 is formed on an inner side of the top support 22, is near a corresponding of the top support 22, aligns with a corresponding mounting seat 1231 of the side panel 12 and is selectively attached securely to the corresponding mounting seat 1231 of the side panel 12 via at a front fastener 224. The top rib 223 is formed on a top edge of the top support 22 and is flushed with the top rib 129 of the side panels 12. The receiving intervals 23 are formed between the adjacent bars 21 and between the bars 21 and the top support 22. The receiving intervals 23 are arranged in a line.

With reference to FIGS. 10 to 12, the bottom frame 30 is covered on a bottom of the main frame 10 and comprises a frame body 31 and multiple feet 32. The frame body 31 is attached to the bottom edges of the rear panels 11 and the side panels 12, is attached to the bar 21 at the bottom edges of the side panels 12 and has two sidewalls 311 and a front branch 312. The sidewalls 311 respectively abut against and are attached securely to the bottom receiving seats 126 of the side panels 12 via multiple side frame fasteners 313. The top surface 312 abuts against and is attached securely to the bar 21 at the bottom edges of the side panels 12 via multiple bottom frame fasteners 314. The feet 32 are separately attached securely to a bottom surface of the frame body 31 and preferably are respectively attached securely to four corners of the frame body 31.

With reference to FIGS. 13 and 14, the top panel 40 is covered on a top of the main frame 10 and a top support 22. A bottom surface 41 of the top panel 40 is attached securely to the top receiving seats 125 and the top support 22 via multiple top panel fasteners 42.

With reference to FIG. 15, the drawer assembly 50 is mounted in the main frame 10 and the bar assembly 20 and comprises multiple drawers 51. Each drawer 51 is mounted slidably in a corresponding receiving interval 23 of the bar assembly 20 and may have multiple slides 510 and at least one knob 5100. The slides 510 are respectively mounted on two sides of the drawer 51. The main frame 10 has multiple tracks 100 formed respectively on the inside wall of the side panels 12. The slides 510 are respectively mounted slidably on the tracks 100 to mount the drawers 51 slidably in the receiving intervals 23. At least one knob 5100 is attached securely to a front of the drawer 51.

With reference to FIGS. 16 to 23, in a preferred embodiment, each drawer 51 is foldable and has a rear board 511, two sideboards 512, a bottom board 513, a front board 514 and multiple locking units 515. The sideboards 512 are respectively connected pivotally to two sides of the rear board 511. The bottom board 513 is slid between the sideboards 512, is clamped between the sideboards 512 and the rear board 511 and has a mid bar 5130. The mid bar 5130 is mounted on a middle part of a bottom surface of the bottom board 513 to reinforce the bottom board 513. The front board 514 is attached to front edges of the sideboards 513 and has multiple locking holes 516 formed on an inside surface of the front board 514. The locking units 515 are mounted in at least one of the sideboards 512. Each locking unit 515 corresponds to and selectively locks in one locking hole 516 of the front board 514 and comprises a switch 517 and a locking rod 518. The switch 517 is mounted pivotally in a corresponding sideboard 512. The locking rod 518 is mounted securely through the switch 517, is mounted rotatably in the corresponding sideboard 512 to connect the switch 517 pivotally to the corresponding sideboard 512 and is inserted into and is locked in the corresponding locking hole 516. In a preferred embodiment, each locking hole 516 is elongated laterally. The locking rod 518 has an elongated protrusion 519. When the elongated protrusion 519 is inserted into the corresponding locking hole 516, the elongated protrusion 519 aligns with the corresponding locking hole 516. Then the switch 517 is pivoted to rotate the elongated protrusion 519 so that the elongated protrusion 519 misaligns with the corresponding locking hole 516 to stop the elongated protrusion 519 from disengaging from the corresponding locking hole 516.

With reference to FIGS. 24 to 27, another embodiment of a quick assemble shelf in accordance with the present invention further comprises a bracing bracket 60A. The length of each rear panel 11A is larger than the length of each side panel 12A. The bracing bracket 60A abuts against and is attached securely on the inner edges 111A of the rear panels 11A to reinforce the rear panels 11A. The bars 21A and the top support 22A are attached securely to the bracing bracket 60A. The receiving intervals 23A are arranged in two lines.

The quick assemble shelf as described has following advantages. With the foldable main frame 10, the assembling of the rear and side panels 11, 12 is easier and quicker. Furthermore, with the stepped end 211 and the mounting pin 212 to connect the bars 21 and the main frame 10, the assembling of the bar assembly 20 and the main frame 10 is faster. Moreover, with the foldable drawers 51, the drawers occupy less room while stowing.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and features of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. A quick assemble shelf comprising:

a foldable main frame comprising two rear panels connected pivotally to each other; and two side panels respectively connected pivotally to the rear panels, wherein when the rear panels are pivoted to overlap with each other, the side panels overlap with the rear panels;
a bar assembly mounted in a front of the main frame and comprising multiple bars and each bar is mounted between the side panels; a top support mounted between the side panels of the main frame and adjacent to top edges of the side panels; and multiple receiving intervals formed between the adjacent bars and between the bars and the top support;
a bottom frame covered on a bottom of the main frame;
a top panel covered on a top of the main frame and a top support; and
a drawer assembly mounted in the main frame and the bar assembly and comprising multiple drawers and each drawer mounted slidably in a corresponding receiving interval of the bar assembly.

2. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein

each rear panel has a length; and
each side panel has a length larger than the length of each rear panel.

3. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 2, wherein the receiving intervals of the bar assembly are arranged in a line.

4. The quick assembly shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein

each side panel of the main frame has an inner edge and a length; and
each rear panel of the main frame has an inner edge and a length larger than the length of each side panel.

5. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 4 further comprising a bracing bracket abutting against and attached securely on the inner edges of the rear panels, wherein the bars and the top support are attached securely to the bracing bracket.

6. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 5, wherein the receiving intervals are arranged in two lines.

7. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein

each side panel of the main frame has a a front rib formed longitudinally on an inside wall and abutting a front edge of the side panel; and multiple connecting hole formed through the front rib;
each bar of the bar assembly has two stepped ends respectively abutting against the front rib of the side panels; and two mounted pins formed respectively on and protruding out from the stepped ends, and each mounting pin inserted in a corresponding connecting hole of the front rib.

8. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein each drawer is foldable and has

a rear board;
two sideboards connected pivotally to two sides of the rear board;
a bottom board slid between the sideboards and clamped between the sideboards and the rear board; and
a front board attached to front edges of the sideboards.

9. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 8, wherein

the front board of each drawer has multiple locking holes formed on an inside surface of the front board; and
each drawer has a locking unit mounted in at least one of the sideboards, and each locking unit corresponding to and selectively locking in one locking hole of the front board.

10. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 9, wherein

each locking hole of the front board of the drawer is elongated laterally; and
the locking unit of each drawer comprises a switch mounted pivotally in a corresponding sideboard; and a locking rod mounted securely through the switch, mounted rotatably in the corresponding sideboard and inserted into and locked in the corresponding locking hole, and has an elongated protrusion selectively aligning with the corresponding locking hole;
whereby when the elongated protrusion is inserted into the corresponding locking hole, the elongated protrusion aligns with the corresponding locking hole, and the switch is pivoted to rotate the elongated protrusion so that the elongated protrusion misaligns with the corresponding locking hole to stop the elongated protrusion from disengaging from the corresponding locking hole.

11. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 10, wherein each drawer has a mid bar mounted on a middle part of a bottom surface of the bottom board.

12. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the each rear panel of the main frame has a bottom edge; an inner edge, and the inner edges of the rear panels connected pivotally to each other via at least one hinge and selectively attached securely to each other via at least one rear fastener; an outer edge; a front wall; and a rear wall
each side panel has an inside wall; a rear rib formed longitudinally on the inside wall of the side panel and abutting a rear edge of the side panel; a top receiving seat formed on the inside wall and near a top edge of the side panel; a bottom receiving seat formed on the inside wall and near a bottom edge of the side panel; at least one partition rib separately formed transversely on the inside wall; a front rib formed longitudinally on the inside wall and abutting a front edge of the side panel; a mounting seat formed on the inside wall and abutting the front rib; multiple connecting holes formed through the front rib; an outside wall; and a top rib formed on the outside wall and abutting the top edge of the side panel;
the top support of the bar assembly has multiple mounting pins formed respectively on two ends of the top support, and each mounting pin inserted into a corresponding connecting hole; two mounting seats, and each mounting seat formed on an inner side of the top support, near a corresponding of the top support, aligning with a corresponding mounting seat of the side panel and selectively attached securely to the corresponding mounting seat of the side panel via at a front fastener.; and a top rib formed on a top edge of the top support and flushed with the top rib of the side panels; and
the bottom frame has a frame body attached to the bottom edges of the rear panels and the side panels, attached to the bar at the bottom edges of the side panels and having two sidewalls respectively abutting against and attached securely to the bottom receiving seats of the side panels via multiple side frame fasteners; and a front branch abutting against and attached securely to the bar at the bottom edges of the side panels via multiple bottom frame fasteners; and multiple feet separately attached securely to a bottom surface of the frame body.

13. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 12, wherein the at least one rear fastener of the rear panel is mounted against the rear wall of the rear panel.

14. The quick assemble shelf as claimed in claim 12, wherein the feet of the bottom frame are respectively attached securely to four corners of the frame body.

15. The quick assembly shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the main frame has multiple tracks formed respectively on the inside wall of the side panels; and
each drawer of the drawer assembly has multiple slides respectively mounted on two sides of the drawer and respectively mounted slidably on the tracks.

16. The quick assembly shelf as claimed in claim 1, wherein each drawer of the drawer assembly has at least one knob attached securely to a front of the drawer.
