SECTIONAL CONTAINER

A sectional container has a body, a first surface, a second surface, a third surface, a chamber, an opening, multiple first protrusions and multiple first connecters. The first surface, the second surface and the third surface are formed on the body. The second surface is opposite the first surface. The third surface is between and connects the first surface with the second surface. The chamber is formed between the first surface and the second surface. The opening is formed in the third surface and communicates with the chamber of the body. The first protrusions are mounted on and protrude from the first surface. The first connecters are mounted on the second surface and each first connecter corresponds to and aligns with one of the first protrusions. Therefore, multiple sectional containers can be combined securely in a vertical, horizontal or intersecting manner selectively.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a sectional container, and more particularly to a sectional container that can securely combine with another sectional container.

2. Description of Related Art

A cabinet is applied for storing objects like books or decorations and comprises a layer or multiple layers of chamber(s). The cabinet having a layer of chamber has small volume, light weight and is easy to be moved and is therefore widely used for storing objects. Multiple cabinets each having a layer of chamber are needed when the amount of objects increases.

The multiple cabinets each having a layer are always stacked with each other. However, the contacting surface between adjacent cabinets is flat and does not have any positioning arrangement. When a force is applied to the stacked cabinets, the cabinets are easily slanted, Therefore, the cabinets need to be repositioned. In addition, the cabinet positioned at a high place may fall and hurt people, which is dangerous.

To solve the safety problem, another conventional cabinet having a layer of chamber further comprises a protrusion and a recess. The protrusion is mounted on the top of the cabinet. The recess is formed in the bottom of the cabinet. The protrusion of the cabinet is mounted in the recess of another cabinet to achieve a positioning effect. Therefore, multiple cabinets can selectively be stacked vertically and stably. However, the conventional cabinets cannot be selectively connected to extend horizontally or arranged in an intersecting manner.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a sectional container to obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An objective of the invention is to provide a sectional container to increase the options of means of combinations of multiple sectional containers.

The sectional container comprises a body, a first surface, a second surface, a third surface, a chamber, an opening, multiple first protrusions and multiple first connecters. The first surface, the second surface and the third surface are formed on the body. The second surface is opposite to the first surface of the body. The third surface is between and connects the first surface of the body and the second surface of the body. The chamber is formed between the first surface of the body and the second surface of the body. The opening is formed in the third surface of the body and communicates with the chamber of the body. The first protrusions are mounted on and protrude from the first surface of the body. The first connecters are mounted on the second surface of the body and each first connecter corresponds to and aligns with one of the first protrusions.

Accordingly, multiple sectional containers can be combined in a vertical, horizontal or intersecting manner selectively. With the engagement of the first protrusions of a sectional container and the first connecters of another sectional container, two sectional containers are combined securely.

Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIG. 1, a sectional container in accordance with the present invention comprises a body 1. The body 1 comprises a first surface, a second surface, a third surface, a chamber, an opening 10, multiple first protrusions 11 and multiple first connecters 12.

The second surface is opposite to the first surface of the body 1. The third surface is between and connects the first surface of the body 1 and the second surface of the body 1. The chamber is formed between the first surface of the body 1 and the second surface of the body 1. The opening 10 is formed in the third surface of the body 1 and communicates with the chamber of the body 1. The first protrusions 11 are mounted on and protrude from the first surface of the body 1. The first connecters 12 are mounted on the second surface of the body 1, and each first connecter 12 corresponds to and aligns with one of the first protrusions 11.

Each first protrusion 11 of the body 1 is cylindrical. Each first connecter 12 is a circular recess. Each circular recess corresponds to and aligns with one of the first protrusions 11. Preferably, the body 1 has four first protrusions 11 being matrix-arranged and four first connecters 12 being matrix-arranged.

With reference to FIG. 4, the body 1 comprises a fourth surface, a fifth surface, multiple second protrusions 13 and multiple second connecters 14. The fourth surface is between and connects the first surface of the body 1 and the second surface of the body 1. The fifth surface is between and connects the first surface of the body 1 and the second surface of the body 1 and is opposite to the fourth surface. The second protrusions 13 are mounted on and protrude from the fourth surface of the body 1. The second connecters 14 are mounted on the fifth surface of the body 1, and each second connecter 14 corresponds to and aligns with one of the second protrusions 13.

Each second protrusion 13 of the body 1 is cylindrical. Each second connecter 14 is a circular recess. Each circular recess corresponds to and aligns with one of the second protrusions 13. Preferably, the body 1 has four second protrusions 13 being matrix-arranged and four second connecters 14 being matrix-arranged.

With reference to FIG. 7, the sectional container comprises a door 20 pivotally mounted on the body 1. With reference to FIG. 8, the sectional container comprises a drawer 30 mounted in the chamber of the body 1.

With reference to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, multiple sectional containers can be combined with each other. The sectional containers may be stacked or connected vertically or horizontally by the first protrusions 11 of a sectional container engaging the first connecters 12 of another sectional container.

With reference to FIG. 5, the sectional containers are connected vertically and horizontally by the first protrusions 11 of a sectional container engaging the first connecters 12 of an adjacent sectional container and the second protrusions 13 of a sectional container engaging the second connecters 14 of an adjacent sectional container.

With reference to FIG. 6, the sectional containers are connected in an intersecting manner with the engagement between the first protrusions 11 of a sectional container and the first connecters 12 of two adjacent sectional containers.

Accordingly, multiple sectional containers in accordance with the present invention can be combined to form different vertical, horizontal, or intersecting arrangements. Furthermore, the sectional container in accordance with the present invention is stable and secured in combination.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. A sectional container comprising:

a body being cubic and having a first surface; a second surface opposite to the first surface of the body; a third surface connecting the first surface of the body with the second surface of the body; a chamber formed between the first surface of the body and the second surface of the body; an opening formed in the third surface of the body and communicating with the chamber of the body; multiple first protrusions mounted on and protruding from the first surface of the body; and multiple first connecters mounted on the second surface of the body, and each first connecter corresponding to one of the first protrusions.

2. The sectional container as claimed in claim 1, wherein

each first protrusion of the body is cylindrical; and
each first connecter is a circular recess.

3. The sectional container as claimed in claim 1, wherein

the body comprises a fourth surface connecting the first surface of the body with the second surface of the body; a fifth surface connecting the first surface of the body with the second surface of the body and being opposite to the fourth surface of the body; multiple second protrusions mounted on and protruding from the fourth surface of the body; and multiple second connecters mounted on the fifth surface of the body, and each second connecter corresponding to one of the second protrusions.

4. The sectional container as claimed in claim 2, wherein

the body comprises a fourth surface connecting the first surface of the body with the second surface of the body; a fifth surface connecting the first surface of the body with the second surface of the body and being opposite to the fourth surface of the body; multiple second protrusions mounted on and protruding from the fourth surface of the body; and multiple second connecters mounted on the fifth surface of the body, and each second connecter corresponding to one of the second protrusions.

5. The sectional container as claimed in claim 3, wherein

each second protrusion of the body is cylindrical; and
each second connecter is a circular recess.

6. The sectional container as claimed in claim 4, wherein

each second protrusion of the body is cylindrical; and
each second connecter is a circular recess.

7. The sectional container as claimed in claim 2, wherein the body has four first protrusions being matrix-arranged and four first connecters being matrix-arranged.

8. The sectional container as claimed in claim 3, wherein the body has four second protrusions being matrix-arranged and four second connecters being matrix-arranged.

9. The sectional container as claimed in claim 8, wherein the body has four first protrusions being matrix-arranged and four first connecters being matrix-arranged.

10. The sectional container as claimed in claim 7, wherein the sectional container comprises a door mounted on the body.

11. The sectional container as claimed in claim 9, wherein the sectional container comprises a door mounted on the body.

12. The sectional container as claimed in claim 7, wherein the sectional container comprises a drawer mounted in the chamber of the body.

13. The sectional container as claimed in claim 9, wherein the sectional container comprises a drawer mounted in the chamber of the body.
