DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, there are shown an exploded view and a perspective view of a shot sensor hooping device for a paintball gun according to the present invention. As shown in the diagrams, a shot sensor 5 has an insertion portion 51 and a top end ring 52. The insertion portion 51 is connected to a receiving hole 41 of a gun body 4. The shot sensor hooping device comprises a hooping ring 1, an operation unit 2, and a hooped portion 3.

The hooping ring 1 is disposed above the receiving hole 41 of the gun body 4. The hooping ring 1 is a ring that comprises a first protruding portion 11, a second protruding portion 12, and a gap 13. A first through hole 111 and an embedding recess 112 (shown in FIGS. 3, 4) are disposed at the first protruding portion 11 and integrally formed therewith to form a unitary structure. A via 121 corresponding in position to the first through hole 111 of the first protruding portion 11 is disposed at the second protruding portion 12. A screw nut recess 122 is disposed at an outer end of the via 121. The gap 13 is disposed between the first protruding portion 11 and the second protruding portion 12.

The operation unit 2 comprises a spanner pad 21, a pin 22, a spanner 23, an axle 24, and a snap-fit screw nut 25. The spanner pad 21 is disposed in the embedding recess 112 of the first protruding portion 11. The spanner pad 21 has therein a second through hole 211. A thread section 221 is disposed at one end of the pin 22. The pin 22 penetrates the second through hole 211 of the spanner pad 21, the first through hole 111 of the first protruding portion 11, and the via 121 of the second protruding portion 12 in sequence. A flat section 223 having a third through hole 222 is disposed at the other end of the pin 22. A notch 231 is disposed at an end portion of the spanner 23, such that the flat section 223 of the pin 22 can insert into the notch 231. A fourth through hole 232 is disposed at the spanner 23 and is perpendicular to the notch 231. The diameter of the inner rim of the spanner 23 equals the outer diameter of the hooping ring 1. A pivotal connection end of the spanner 23 is of a round shape. The fourth through hole 232 deviates from the center of the pivotal connection end of the spanner 23. The axle 24 is penetratingly disposed in the fourth through hole 232 of the spanner 23 and the third through hole 222 of the pin 22. The snap-fit screw nut 25 is disposed in the screw nut recess 122 of the second protruding portion 12 and has therein a screw hole 251 (see FIGS. 4, 5) corresponding in position to and meshing with a thread section 221 of the pin 22. The purpose of the snap-fit screw nut 25 is to adjust the tightness of the hooping ring 1 during an assembly process.

The hooped portion 3 is disposed between the non-circular insertion portion 51 and the top end ring 52 of the shot sensor 5. The hooped portion 3 corresponds in position to the inner wall of the hooping ring 1 and is enclosed therein. A sensing unit 6 is disposed at the outer end of the insertion portion 51 of the shot sensor 5. An ejecting end 61 and a receiving end 62 flank the sensing unit 6 and correspond in position to each other.

Referring to FIGS. 1, 4, and 5, an assembly process of the shot sensor hooping device of the present invention comprises the steps of: positioning the spanner pad 21 in the embedding recess 112 of the first protruding portion 11; passing the pin 22 through the second through hole 211 of the spanner pad 21, the first through hole 111 of the first protruding portion 11, and the via 121 of the second protruding portion 12; meshing the pin 22 with the screw hole 251 of the snap-fit screw nut 25; inserting the flat section 223 of the pin 22 into the notch 231 of the spanner 23; passing the axle 24 through the fourth through hole 232 of the spanner 23 and the third through hole 222 of the pin 22 in sequence, so as to finalize the assembly process of the shot sensor hooping device.

Direct insertion of the non-circular insertion portion 51 of the shot sensor 5 into the non-circular receiving hole 41 of the gun body 4 brings about a positioning effect. If the inner wall of the hooping ring 1 is disposed around the hooped portion 3 of the shot sensor 5, and a user actuates the spanner 23 to bend the spanner 23 until the inner curve of the spanner 23 fits the outer rim of the hooping ring 1 (see FIG. 4), the width of the gap 13 between the first protruding portion 11 and the second protruding portion 12 will decrease, because the axle 24 of the spanner 23 is positioned at the eccentric center of the pivotal connection end, and a cam disposed at the pivotal connection end rotates and pushes the first protruding portion 11 toward the second protruding portion 12. As a result, the inner wall of the hooping ring 1 hoops the hooped portion 3 (in a tight-fitting manner), thereby fastening and positioning the shot sensor 5 and the gun body 4 in place.

Referring to FIG. 5, if the user makes the spanner 23 rotate and thereby separates the inner curve of the spanner 23 from the outer rim of the hooping ring 1, the gap 13 between the first protruding portion 11 and the second protruding portion 12 will restore its normal width as a result of the rotation of the cam disposed at the pivotal connection end of the spanner 23. Hence, the inner wall of the hooping ring 1 is disposed around the hooped portion 3 (in a loose manner), and thus the shot sensor 5 can be removed from the receiving hole 41 of the gun body 4 quickly and easily. Therefore, the paintball gun user can conveniently cleanse the ejecting end 61 and the receiving end 62 which flank the sensing unit 6.
