Description
BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The present disclosure relates to casings with labels affixed thereon, and particularly, to a casing that can prevent air bubbles forming under labels during testing.

2. Description of Related Art

Many electronic devices, such as DVD players, include a product label affixed on their casings. When manufacturing an electronic device with a large product label, air bubbles may form under the product label during high and low temperature storing tests. Thus, it is desirable to provide an electronic device to overcome the above-mentioned problems.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Many aspects of the embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present disclosure. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.

FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a casing of an electronic device in accordance with an embodiment.

FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the portion II of FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Referring to FIG. 1, an electronic device 10 includes a casing 20 with a side surface 21 comprising a product label 30 affixed thereon. The product label 30 includes textual and graphical information, such as certification information. In the embodiment, the electronic device 100 is a DVD player.

In the embodiment, the label 30 is a flexible rectangular sheet. The side surface 21 of the casing 20 includes a label area 22. The label area 22 defines a number of recesses 23. When affixed on the label area 22, the label 30 covers the recesses 23.

In one embodiment, the recesses 23 are formed in the side surface 21 and are evenly arranged in a matrix form. The recesses 23 and the casing 20 are integrally formed by injection molding.

In an alternative embodiment, the side surface 21 may include a number of protruding ribs 24. The protruding ribs 24 intersect with each other, thereby forming the recesses 23. The protruding ribs 24 and the casing 20 are integrally formed by injection molding.

After testing many electronic devices 10, the results show that no air bubble forms under the labels 30 during high and low temperature storing tests.

While various embodiments have been described and illustrated, the disclosure is not to be construed as being limited thereto. Various modifications can be made to the embodiments by those skilled in the art without departing from the true spirit and scope of the present disclosure as defined by the appended claims.

Claims
