Snappy Sip

Snappy Sip is a prefilled, sealed-for-freshness, NO spill, disposable drink container, designed to be purchased already containing a manufacturer-supplied drinkable product. Snappy Sip can be prefilled with a manufacturer-supplied drinkable liquid, with the convenience of a no spill, prefilled container for their child. Snappy sip replaces a child's open top, container with lid and straw and the non-filled Sippy cups that are purchased at the store and then filled by the patron. It solves the container spill problem that currently exits in take out and sit down eating and replaces the necessity of a patron having to supply their own empty Sippy cup for their child. This is grab-and-go, from a restaurant, or store shelf Different from any prefilled drink container available because of its NO SPILL top. Snappy Sip solves the box and pouch problems of kids who squeeze the juice box and pouch drinks all over.

Description

This non provisional Patent Application Claims benefit of Provisional Patent No. 61/632,783 With original filing date of Jan. 31, 2012.

The drink container consists of 4 parts.

The threaded detachable screw-on lid with a projecting spout extending above the lid, designed to drink from and fit comfortably in the mouth while drinking. The lid threads screw tightly to the top of the bottle neck of the container, resting on a stop for an air tight seal.

There is a removable flat, circular gasket that fits snuggly just above the inside threaded portion of the lid. It has a cross-cut opening in the center to allow fluid to flow to the spout when suction is applied through the lid opening, but to prevent fluid flowing when no suction is applied. There is enough space remaining above the inserted gasket to allow air to return into the cap, to reduce pressure caused from sucking.

The easy-to-remove foil seal is affixed, to the outer rim of the opening of the neck of the drink container and attaches air-tight for a sealed-in freshness and protection from bacteria entering the product that is placed inside, until removed for consumption.

The beverage containing bottle dimension can be adjusted to hold more of less liquid by adjusting the height. The shape of the body of the liquid-containing portion of the main bottle/beverage container is an oval shape when looking from the top-down view. The shape is oval to make it easier for a child or someone with limited hand agility or strength to hold. The perimeter of the container body is still small enough to fit into any standard drink cup holder. The dispensing neck is located on one side of the long portion of the oval top on the container. It is threaded to accept the screw on lid with a ring at the base of the threaded neck to act as a stop for the cap.

The end user will remove the cap, peel off the protective foil, reapply the cap and the product is then ready to consume as a no spill drink option.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

The field of endeavor for this invention is Classification 215—Bottles and Jars

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

This invention resolves two problems of currently available products. The first being that all current prefilled drinks are prone to spill by either squeezing the container, tipping the container, or not reclosing the containers lid properly. The second being that all no spill containers available, are not already filled with liquid. They are a separate purchase whether disposable or not. This invention resolves both of these problems at once, by combining a convenient no spill, prefilled container that has easy to open and quick access to the beverage with out the extra hassle of having to supply your own empty no spill container and then having to find a means to fill it. It also resolves the problem of the current pouch or box with straw style of drink container that currently will spill if squeezed and tipped over.
