Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a bathroom accessory, and more particularly to a water supplement regulating structure of an inlet valve applied in a toilet tank for resupplying water to a toilet.

2. Description of Related Art

In general, the inlet valve of the toilet tank comes with a water supplement device for resupplying water to a toilet after the toilet is flushed and forming a water seal to prevent bad smell from entering from a pipe into a bathroom through the toilet. Most water supplement devices are installed directly on an inlet valve. In other words, the inlet valve has a water supplement hole formed thereon for connecting a water supplement pipe. Since there are different models and sizes of toilets, the required quantity of supplementary water varies, and most of the present water supplement devices are adjusting devices, so that the diameter of the water supplement hole for passing water can be adjusted to regulate the quantity of supplementary water for different toilets flexibly.

At present, a common water supplement regulating structure generally comprises a regulating valve spool and an adjusting knob, wherein the regulating valve spool is provided for regulating the diameter of the water supplement hole for passing water, and the water supplement pipe is connected to an end of the regulating valve spool, and a conical plug is formed at a front end of the regulating valve spool and extended into the water supplement hole to form a gap from the water supplement hole, and the regulating valve spool and the adjusting knob are connected in a fixed way, so that when the adjusting knob is turned, the regulating valve spool is turned accordingly and moved back and forth in an axial direction of the water supplement hole to adjust the gap between the conical plug and the water supplement hole, so as to regulate the quantity of supplementary water.

However, the water supplement regulating structure of this sort drives the regulating valve spool and the water supplement pipe to turn together with the adjusting knob when an adjustment is made, so that the water supplement pipe may be tangled with the water tank and may fall apart from the regulating valve spool easily, or the water supplement pipe may be twisted to deform, crack or affect the use of the pipe. Obviously, the conventional water supplement regulating structure requires improvements.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a water supplement regulating structure of an inlet valve to overcome the problems of separating, deforming or cracking a water supplement pipe when the conventional water supplement regulating structure regulates the quantity of water supplement.

To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides a water supplement regulating structure of an inlet valve comprising a regulating valve spool, a knob, and a water supplement hole formed on an inlet valve body, characterized in that the regulating valve spool has a limber hole formed at the middle of the regulating valve spool, a conical plug disposed at a front end of the regulating valve spool and corresponding to the water supplement hole, and a front end of the conical plug is movably extended into the water supplement hole of the inlet valve body to form a gap with the water supplement hole, and the external periphery of a rear end of the conical plug is greater than the diameter of the water supplement hole, and the regulating valve spool has an external thread formed on an outer wall of the regulating valve spool, and the knob and the regulating valve spool are screwed and coupled and turnably mounted onto the water supplement hole of the inlet valve body, and the knob has an internal thread formed on an inner wall of the knob and corresponding to the external thread of the regulating valve spool.

The knob has a hook disposed at a front end of the knob, and a circular flange disposed on the water supplement hole of the inlet valve body and corresponding to the hook.

The knob has a hook disposed at a front end of the knob, and a circular flange disposed on the water supplement hole of the inlet valve body and corresponding to the hook.

The knob has a limit bump disposed at a front end of the knob, a limit stair disposed on the water supplement hole of the inlet valve body and corresponding to the limit bump.

The knob has a plurality of protrusions disposed on an outer surface and separated apart from one another.

With the aforementioned structure of the present invention, the knob can be turned to drive the regulating valve spool to move axially back and forth with respect to the water supplement hole through the screw thread, so as to adjust the gap between the conical plug and the water supplement hole and regulate the quantity of supplementary water. In the process, the regulating valve spool simply moves in an axial direction but it does not turn together with the knob, so that the water supplement pipe has no issue of being tangled or the problems of falling off, being deformed or cracked.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 for a water supplement regulating structure of an inlet valve of the present invention, the water supplement regulating structure comprises a regulating valve spool 1, a knob 2, and a water supplement hole 3 formed on an inlet valve body.

The regulating valve spool 1 has a limber hole 11 formed at the middle of the, a conical plug 12 disposed at a front end of the regulating valve spool 1 (or integrally formed with the regulating valve spool), and a gap between the conical plug 12 and the regulating valve spool 1 for passing water, and the conical plug 12 is installed corresponding to the water supplement hole 3 and the external periphery of the rear end of the conical plug 12 is greater than the diameter of the water supplement hole 3, and a front end of the conical plug 12 is extended into the water supplement hole 3 of the inlet valve body to form a gap from the water supplement hole, and an end of the regulating valve spool 1 is coupled to the water supplement pipe, and a tapered neck 13 is formed at an end of the regulative valve spool 1 and corresponding to the water supplement pipe, and an external thread 14 is formed on an outer wall of the regulating valve spool 1, and a sealing element 15 is provided for preventing water from leaking from the outer wall of the regulating valve spool.

The knob 2 and the regulating valve spool 1 are screwed and coupled and turnably mounted onto the water supplement hole 3 of the inlet valve body, and an internal thread 21 is formed on an inner wall of the knob 2 and corresponding to the external thread 13 of the regulating valve spool 1, and a hook 22 and a limit bump 23 are formed at a front end of the knob 2, and the knob 2 has a plurality of protrusions 24 formed on an outer surface of the knob and separated apart from one another,

A connecting base 31 is formed on the water supplement hole 3 of the inlet valve body, and the connecting base 31 has a circular flange 32 formed at the periphery of the connecting base 31 and corresponding to the knob hook 22 and a limit stair 33 corresponding to the limit bump 23.

In FIG. 2, the knob 2 is screwed onto the regulating valve spool 1 and the hook 22 disposed at the front end of the knob 2 is latched to the circular flange 32 of the connecting base on the water supplement hole. In FIGS. 5 and 6, the knob 2 is turned clockwise, so that the limit bump 23 of the knob abuts the limit stair 33 of the water supplement hole 3. Now, the regulating valve spool 1 is driven by the screw thread of the knob to move axially and inwardly with respect to the water supplement hole 3, so that the conical plug 12 completely seals the water supplement hole 3 and sets the water supplement hole 3 to a condition of preventing water from exiting the water supplement hole 3.

In FIGS. 7 and 8, the knob 2 is turned counterclockwise, so that the limit bump 23 of the knob 2 is turned in a direction of separating from the limit stair 33 of the water supplement hole 3.
