PROCESS FOR CONVERTING A BOX NECKLINE TO A SWEETHEART OR V-NECK NECKLINE
A process permits conversion of a box neckline to a sweetheart or v-neck neckline in a garment proximate an undergarment. The process includes the following steps, not necessarily in order. First is inserting a small hook beneath the undergarment. The undergarment is pushing the small hook downward. Next is inserting a large hook, which is connected to the small hook by a central member, over the box neckline of the garment. After that is pulling the box neckline downward with the large hook proximate the undergarment which pulls the box neckline downward making the sweetheart or v-neck neckline on the garment.
This application claims priority to provisional patent application U.S. Ser. No. 61/710,220 filed on Oct. 5, 2012, the entire contents of which is herein incorporated by reference.
BACKGROUNDThe embodiments herein relate generally to fashion and personal accessories.
Prior to embodiments of the disclosed invention, garments with a dull box neckline could not be altered without sewing. However, some users would like to wear the box neckline garment, but with a sweetheart or v-neck neckline instead. This would require a seamstress to alter the neckline or attempt to sew a new neckline themselves. Embodiments of the present invention solve this problem.
SUMMARYA process permits conversion of a box neckline to a sweetheart or v-neck neckline in a garment proximate an undergarment.
In some embodiments there is bending the large hook to have a first portion extending distant the central member. Such that the first portion is immediately adjacent to a second portion that extends parallel the central member. In some embodiments there is bending the small hook to have a round portion connected with a parallel portion; wherein the parallel portion is parallel to the central member.
The detailed description of some embodiments of the invention is made below with reference to the accompanying figures, wherein like numerals represent corresponding parts of the figures.
By way of example, and referring to
Small hook 12 comprises a round portion connected with a parallel portion. The parallel portion is parallel to the central member. This configuration is effective for securing small hook 12 under undergarment 20 while preventing inadvertent removal of neckline device 10.
A process for converting a box neckline to a sweetheart or v-neck neckline in garment 16 proximate an undergarment 20 includes the following steps which are not necessarily in order. First is inserting small hook 12 beneath undergarment 20. Undergarment 20 is pushing small hook 12 downward. Next is inserting a large hook 14, connected to the small hook 12 by a central member, over neckline 18 of garment 16. Large hook 14 grabs neckline 18 and pulls neckline 18 proximate undergarment 20 which pulls the box neckline downward making a sweetheart or v-neck neckline.
Persons of ordinary skill in the art may appreciate that numerous design configurations may be possible to enjoy the functional benefits of the inventive systems. Thus, given the wide variety of configurations and arrangements of embodiments of the present invention the scope of the invention is reflected by the breadth of the claims below rather than narrowed by the embodiments described above.
Claims
1. A process permits conversion of a box neckline to a sweetheart or v-neck neckline in a garment proximate an undergarment; the process comprises:
- inserting a small hook beneath the undergarment; wherein the undergarment is pushing the small hook downward;
- inserting a large hook, which is connected to the small hook by a central member, over the box neckline of the garment;
