Description

The invention is the use of a 4 mm wide transparent circular band made of elastic material. It stretches from 8 inches up to 30 inches in circumference to fit over the head, behind the ears, and under the chin of any person so as to support the flesh around the lower jaw and face with the purpose of the person wearing the band to appear younger. When applied, the band is virtually invisible to other people.

Please see the included drawings with the following descriptions.

FIG. 1—Side view without the Beauty Band in position.

FIG. 2—Beauty Band in position behind the ear.

FIG. 3—Beauty Band in position in front of ear.

FIG. 4—Front view showing the Beauty Band is virtually invisible when in position as described above.

INSTRUCTIONS

The BEAUTY BAND is a transparent elastic band which is placed under the chin, behind the ears and over the top of the head in a position most comfortable to the user and so as to achieve the intended correction.

IMPORTANT! The BEAUTY BAND stretches to 30 inches and must be prestretched overnight by the user until it reaches a comfortable length. It may be placed over a chair back or over dresser knobs and may take a certain amount of trial and error until the user finds it comfortable at the most advantageous location for them. It is necessary to continue to stretch it nightly until it keeps the length desired. If it is accidently stretched too much, it should return in time to the shorter length if allowed to relax.

The tighter the band, the more the correction, but too tight can be uncomfortable or cause a headache so patience may be necessary for a couple of weeks to reach the proper tension for each individual. The band may be purchased in groups of two so that one band can be kept shorter than the other and worn on special “tighter” occasions and one band can be left longer and worn all day with comfort

In time the band can become as habitually comfortable as a bra and one may even forget to take it off an night

A pony tail or other firm hairdo is the most assured position to keep the band on place over the head. If one's hair is loose or slippery, a clip or hairpin could be necessary to hold the band at the desired place. Assure that the band is flat against the face and hair (not twisted) so that it is comfortable and virtually invisible.

The band may be placed in front of the ears, if that is more comfortable, and it will stay on top of the head better; however, the band is more apt to show against the face unless covered by the hair.

Because the bands are used against the skin and hair, the bands are not returnable, sorry!

Claims

1. This patent application is being sought based on the premise of the use of this band for this particular purpose.

2. The band is placed over the top of the head (becoming undetectable within the hair), placed behind the ears, and under the chin in such a fashion as to pull sagging jowls or relaxed skin a bit tighter, thereby stretching the skin to a smoother texture and decreasing the appearance of sagging skin associated with aging.

3. Depending on the tightness of the band when applied the band corrects sagging jowls, “turkey neck”, and other undesirable features associated with age.

4. The tightness of the band can be adjusted by pre-stretching for comfort and for the amount of supportive correction desired by an individual.

5. When comparing a person before application of the band to a person after application of the band, there is a visible improvement in the appearance of the affected facial and neck features.
