BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to an elastic pull rope, and more particularly to an innovative one which is provided with maximum tensile range limitation functions.

2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98.

Elastic pull ropes are broadly used to connect articles, fitness equipments and safety cables due to elasticity. For instance, operators on work sites have to hold manually heavy-duty tools (e.g.: nailing guns, chisels and drills) for their work. When they operate these tools on the ground, no serious personal injury will be caused if the tools fall down due to personal negligence. However, when the operators work on the scaffolds or at the edge of high-rise buildings, the falling tools will likely hurt other persons or objects due to the acceleration of gravity, leading to unforeseen danger and damage.

With reference to Patent Gazette No. M399877 of ROC: “an anti-falling safety rope for tools”, this structure is mainly characterized in that it comprises: an elongated elastic connecting strip and two snap ring units that are fixed at two opposite ends of the strip. The connecting strip consists of a strip unit and several main elastic strips set on the strip unit. The main elastic strips are extended lengthwise, and also arranged at interval in parallel. Every snap ring unit contains a snap ring located at the end and opened or closed easily. As main elastic strips are set on the strip unit, the connecting strip could be reinforced structurally to prevent rupture and malfunction of main elastic strips due to uneven stress, thus enabling stronger robustness of the anti-falling safety rope for tools.

The main elastic strips are partially exposed to the strip unit, some portions of the main elastic strips are vulnerable to external forces and destructive rupture, so there is still a room for improving the design of protective structure of the main elastic strips specific to the conventional safety rope.

Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement if the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve the efficacy.

Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention provides an elastic pull rope with maximum tensile range limitation functions, with its main characteristics comprising a soft elastic pipe casing, in the style of a webbing pipe body, forming a closed threading space inside the pipe body. The two relative side edges of the soft elastic pipe casing are provided with a plurality of evenly distributed convex folding edges and concave folding edges. Elastic strips are made of multiple elastic cords distributed side by side, going straight through the long threading space. Multiple pulling joint parts are configured on the elastic strips with evenly spaced distribution, and each pulling joint part matches the corresponding position of the concave folding edges of the soft elastic pipe casing. A plurality of pulling woven cords are formed on the inner side of the concave folding edges of the soft elastic pipe casing, so as to bind and fix the pulling joint parts on the elastic strips with the concave folding edges. Two flat-type binding strips are respectively formed on the two ends of the soft elastic pipe casing and the elastic strips. Two extending strips are formed respectively by extending the ends of the two flat-type binding strips. Based on this, when the soft elastic pipe casing is pulled to the straight state and cannot be pulled any more, it will limit the maximum tensile range of the elastic strips. Meanwhile, when the two flat-type binding strips are pulled, drawing the elastic strips to elongate, the sectional traction between each pulling woven cords can generate regular and even wavy folds on each convex folding edge and concave folding edge of the soft elastic pipe casing. In this way, it achieves a practical advancement that the cords will not easily break or get entangled.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIGS. 1 to 6 depict preferred embodiments of an elastic pull rope with maximum tensile range limitation functions of the present invention. Such embodiments are for description purposes only and shall not intend to limit the scope of the invention

The invention comprises a soft elastic pipe casing 10, in the style of a webbing pipe body woven from yarns, forming a closed long threading space 11 inside the pipe body. The two relative side edges of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 are provided with a plurality of regular, continuous, wavy and evenly distributed convex folding edges 12 and concave folding edges 13.

At least two elastic strips 20 are made of multiple elastic cords 21 distributed side by side. The elastic strips 20 go straight through the long threading space 11 of the soft elastic pipe casing 10, so that the elastic strips 20 are externally protected by the soft elastic pipe casing 10, and will not be damaged and broken under external forces.

Multiple pulling joint parts 22 are configured on the elastic strips 20 with evenly spaced distribution, and each pulling joint part 22 matches the corresponding position of the concave folding edges 13 of the soft elastic pipe casing 10.

A plurality of pulling woven cords 14 are formed on the inner side of the concave folding edges 13 of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 (note: said pulling woven cords 14 are not stitched cords, but woven cords simultaneously formed during the weaving process of the soft elastic pipe casing 10), so as to bind and fix the pulling joint parts 22 on the elastic strips 20 with the concave folding edges 13. Each pulling joint part 22 can be relatively bound and fixed with each concave folding edge 13 on one side of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 (as shown in FIG. 3, 4), or, each pulling joint part 22 can be relatively bound and fixed with each concave folding edge 13 on both sides of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 (as shown in FIG. 5). After the binding, the elastic strips 20 and the soft elastic pipe casing 10 will maintain their evenly wavy folding states under the stretched state, without causing displacement or deformation of the folds under excessive usage. Meanwhile, based on the strengthened binding between each sections of the pulling woven cords 14, even when any of the sections of the elastic strips 20 is broken, the two ends can still have pulling force. In this embodiment, the pulling woven cords 14 are bound and fixed through stitching.

Two flat-type binding strips 15 are respectively formed on the two ends of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 and the elastic strips 20. Said flat-type binding strips 15 are made by clamping the elastic strips 20 with the two sides of the soft elastic pipe casing 10. Based on this, when the two flat-type binding strips 15 are pulled and simultaneously the elastic strips 20 and soft elastic pipe casing 10 are elongated, with the bonding state between the pulling woven cords 14, the convex folding edges 12 and the concave folding edges 13 of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 can have regular and evenly wavy folds. Moreover, when the soft elastic pipe casing 10 is pulled to the straight state and cannot be pulled any more, it will limit the maximum tensile range of the elastic strips 20, avoiding their breakage due to excessive stretching. In addition, on the two sides of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 and corresponding to each section of the elastic strips 20, a plurality of pulling woven cords 14 are bound and fixed.

Two extending strips 30 are formed respectively by extending the ends of the two flat-type binding strips 15. On the terminal end positions of the two extending strips 30, connecting parts 40, 40B are configured. Said connecting parts 40, 40B are any of the forms of clasp, buckle, clamp, fixture, and handle.

Furthermore, said soft elastic pipe casing 10 can be of one section or multiple sections. In the case of multiple sections, each section of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 can be linked up through connecting strips without elasticity.

Referring to FIG. 6, when the user wants to use the elastic pull rope, the connecting part 40 can be connected to a preset tool 50, and the connecting pan 40B can be connected to the user's belt 60, so that the user can hang the tool when using it in a high or narrow place. With the elastic pull rope, in case of a fall of the preset tool 50, the falling force will be buffered, so as not to cause discomfort or pain of the user due to the strong pulling, meanwhile, the elastic strips can maintain their evenly wavy folding states under the stretched state, without causing displacement or deformation of the folds. In this way, the elastic pull rope can have optimum elasticity, and meanwhile can effectively avoid entanglement of the cords.

Referring to FIG. 7, in this embodiment, the two ends of the connecting parts 40, 40B can provided with fitness handles 70, and each units of the elastic pull ropes can be serially connected. Based on its characteristics, the elastic pull rope of the present invention can be used in muscle training apparatus, or used as a safety rope of the surfboard during sea surfing (omitted in the drawing). In the latter case, the two ends of the elastic pull rope are respectively connected to one position on the surfboard and to the ankle of the surfer, so as to provide a safety protection for the surfer and avoid slipping away of the surfboard.

As the concave folding edges 13 of the soft elastic pipe casing 10 are bound with the pulling joint parts 22 of the elastic strips 20 through the pulling woven cords 14, the elastic strips 20 and the soft elastic pipe casing 10 will maintain their evenly wavy folding states under the stretched state, without causing displacement or deformation of the folds under excessive usage. In case any section of the elastic strips 20 is broken, through the local strengthened binding between each section of the multiple pulling woven cords 14, the two ends of the elastic strips 20 can still have pulling force and elasticity. This is an obvious practical advancement.

With an active attitude and perseverance in pursuing advancements and after numerous attempts, the inventor finally developed the present invention having the above-described optimum functions, which shall meet all the prerequisites for patent application. Hence, an application is hereby submitted.
