Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to hair dyeing technology and more particularly, to a hair dyeing comb, which is practical for styling, cleaning, managing and dyeing hair and, which allows adjustment of the elevation of the hair color wax to be applied.

2. Description of the Related Art

When dyeing the hair of a person, people may use a regular hair comb to pick up a certain amount of a hair color wax or gel and then comb the hair to apply the hair color wax or gel to the hair. Alternatively, a hair dye comb may be used to apply a hair color wax or gel to the hair. A hair dye comb for dyeing hair generally comprises a container mounted in the comb body for holding a hair dye wax or gel. The container has a nozzle for dispensing the contained hair dye wax or gel. When dyeing the hair of a person in either of the aforesaid two conventional methods, it is difficult to control the dispensing amount of the hair color wax or gel, and other part of the body may be contaminated by the hair color wax or gel accidentally. Therefore, the aforesaid conventional hair dye comb has the drawbacks of being not convenient to carry and to use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is therefore the main object of the present invention to provide a hair dyeing comb, which can be used for styling, cleaning, managing and dyeing hair. It is another object of the present invention to provide a hair dyeing comb, which allows adjustment of the elevation of the hair color wax to be applied.

To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, a hair dyeing comb comprises a comb body and an adjustment member. The comb body comprises a narrow elongated head, a longitudinal insertion slot cut through opposing top and bottom sides of the narrow elongated head, two longitudinal locating ribs bilaterally disposed in the longitudinal insertion slot, a plurality of long teeth downwardly extended from the bottom side of the narrow elongated head and arranged in lines at two opposite sides relative to the longitudinal insertion slot, and a handle axially extended from one end of the narrow elongated head. The adjustment member is insertable into the longitudinal insertion slot of the comb body, comprising a plurality of short teeth downwardly extended from the bottom side thereof for holding a hair color wax, and a plurality of positioning grooves horizontally and symmetrically located at two opposite sidewalls thereof at different elevations and selectively engageable with the longitudinal locating ribs.

Other advantages and features of the present invention will be fully understood by reference to the following specification in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference signs denote like components of structure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a hair dyeing comb in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 2 is an elevational assembly view of the hair dyeing comb in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a sectional side view, in an enlarged scale, of the hair dyeing comb in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a schematic sectional view of a part of the present invention, illustrating the adjustment member adjusted to a higher position.

FIG. 5 corresponds to FIG. 4, illustrating the adjustment member adjusted to a lower position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a hair dyeing comb in accordance with the present invention is shown. The hair dyeing comb comprises a comb body 1, and an adjustment member 2.

The comb body 1 comprises a narrow elongated head 11, a longitudinal insertion slot 111 cut through opposing top and bottom sides of the narrow elongated head 11, two longitudinal locating ribs 112 bilaterally disposed in the longitudinal insertion slot 111, a plurality of long teeth 113 downwardly extended from the bottom side of the narrow elongated head 11 and arranged in lines at two opposite sides relative to the longitudinal insertion slot 111 for combing the hair 4 of a person, and a handle 12 axially extended from one end of the narrow elongated head 11.

The adjustment member 2 is a narrow elongated block member insertable into the longitudinal insertion slot 111 of the comb body 1, comprising a top stop flange 24 stoppable at the top side of the narrow elongated head 11 above the longitudinal insertion slot 111, a plurality of positioning grooves 22 horizontally and symmetrically located at the two opposite sidewalls thereof at different elevations below the top stop flange 24 and selectively engageable with the longitudinal locating ribs 112 of the comb body 1, and a plurality of short teeth 21 downwardly extended from the bottom side for securing a hair color wax 3 for dyeing the hair 4 of a person.

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, after insertion of the adjustment member 2 in the longitudinal insertion slot 111 of the comb body 1, the user can adjust the elevation of the adjustment member 2 relative to the comb body 1 by changing the engagement position between the positioning grooves 22 of the adjustment member 2 and the longitudinal locating ribs 112 of the comb body 1.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2 again, a recessed hole 23 is located at the top side of the adjustment member 2, enhancing the flexibility of the adjustment member 2 and reducing material consumption.

Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
