DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT(S)

A description is made below of embodiments with reference to the drawings. In the event of this embodiment, common reference numerals are assigned to common portions throughout all the drawings.

By using FIG. 1, a description is made of a mattress and a laid bedding for a bed according an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the laid bedding for a bed according to the present invention is composed by including a mattress 10 and a closed-bottom frame 30. The mattress 10 is laid and filled in the closed-bottom frame 30.

The mattress 10 is composed of a plurality (six in this drawing) of cores 20 in response to a bed size. A planar shape of each of the cores 20 is, for example, square, rectangular, and so on. Desirably, the plurality of cores 20 have mutually the same planar shape; however, may be formed into a plurality of different shapes as long as being successfully laid and filled in the closed-bottom frame 30.

The plurality of cores 20 are separated from one another. However, it is also possible to adhere the respective cores 20 onto one another, for example, by attaching adhesive tape onto side surfaces of the cores 20.

The closed-bottom frame 30 is box-like, and is composed of a bottom portion 40 and an edge portion 50. The bottom portion 40 is, for example, rectangular. The edge portion 50 is formed of four edge portions 50a, 50b, 50c and 50d. The edge portions 50a and 50b are individually provided on peripheral portions as long sides of the bottom portion 40, and the edge portions 50c and 50d are individually provided on peripheral portions as short sides of the bottom portion 40.

In the closed-bottom frame 30, a plurality of air vent holes 60 which allow an inner surface and outer surface of the closed-bottom frame 30 to communicate with each other are provided. For example, in FIG. 1, totally seven air vent holes 60 are present, which are: three in the bottom portion 40; and one in each of the edge portions 50a, 50b, 50c and 50d. Note that positions where the air vent holes 60 are to be provided and the number of the air vent holes 60 to be provided are not limited to those of FIG. 1, and are modifiable in various ways.

In the closed-bottom frame 30, for example, the bottom portion 40 is composed of a soft urethane foam, the edge portion 50 is composed of a hard urethane foam, and the bottom portion 40 and the edge portion 50 are adhered onto each other.

Here, a description is made of an example of dimensions of the closed-bottom frame 30. In the closed-bottom frame 30, a length thereof is approximately 2 m, and a width thereof is widened in accordance with the standard of a bed from 1 m for a single bed through those of three quarter, double, extra wide double beds to 1.67 m for a queen-size bed. A thickness of the bottom portion 40 is 80 mm, and a height of the edge portion 50 is 120 mm. A diameter of the air vent holes 60 is 30 mm, and a pitch between the adjacent air vent holes 60 is 200 mm.

By using FIGS. 2A to 2C, a description is made in detail of three examples of each of the cores 20 which compose the mattress according to the embodiment of the present invention.

In a first example, as shown in FIG. 2A, the core 20 is composed of three layers, which are: an extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 in which extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together; a urethane layer 22; and a high-resilience latex layer 23. Here, the urethane layer 22 is sandwiched between the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 and the latex layer 23. A thickness of each of the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 and the latex layer 23 is, for example, approximately 30 mm, and a thickness of the urethane layer 22 is, for example, approximately 80 mm.

The extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 is composed by three-dimensionally intertwining and welding the extremely fine fibrous resin together. Therefore, the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 is excellent in air permeability, and also has high restoration force. Hence, a sleeper lies down on a surface of this extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21, whereby night sweats can be suppressed, and it becomes easy for an old person and a small child to turn from side to side.

The latex layer 23 is composed by using synthetic latex, which is a high-resilience elastic rubber material, and providing a large number of air vent holes therein. Therefore, the latex layer 23 is excellent in antibacterial properties, good in air permeability, not too hard, not too soft, and elastic, and accordingly, is excellent in body pressure dispersion. Hence, the sleeper lies down on a surface of the latex layer 23, whereby the night sweats can be suppressed, and effects of preventing a backache and neck stiffness can be ensured.

In a second example, as shown in FIG. 2B, the core 20 is composed of three layers, which are: an extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 in which extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together; a urethane layer 25; and a low-resilience urethane layer 26. Here, the urethane layer 25 is sandwiched between the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 and the low-resilience urethane layer 26. A thickness of each of the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 and the low-resilience urethane layer 26 is, for example, approximately 30 mm, and a thickness of the urethane layer 25 is, for example, approximately 80 mm.

The extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 in the second example is similar to the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 in the first example, and accordingly, a description thereof is omitted.

The sleeper lies down on a surface of the low-resilience urethane layer 26, whereby the surface of the low-resilience urethane layer 26 fits along a body line like wrapping a body, and is brought into close contact with the body, and accordingly, good sleeping comfort can be offered, and a sound and pleasant sleep can be ensured particularly in the winter season.

In a third example, as shown in FIG. 2C, the core 20 is composed of three layers, which are: a high-resilience latex layer 27 provided with a plurality of air vent holes; a urethane layer 28; and a low-resilience urethane layer 29. Here, the urethane layer 28 is sandwiched between the latex layer 27 and the low-resilience urethane layer 29. A thickness of each of the latex layer 27 and the low-resilience urethane layer 29 is, for example, approximately 30 mm, and a thickness of the urethane layer 28 is, for example, approximately 80 mm.

The latex layer 27 in the third example is similar to the latex layer 23 in the first example, and the low-resilience urethane layer 29 in the third example is similar to the low-resilience urethane layer 26 in the second example, and accordingly, a description of both thereof is omitted.

Note that, in the cores 20 according to the above-described first to third examples, the thicknesses of the respective examples are merely examples, and no limitations are imposed thereon. For example, in the core 20 according to the first example, the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 and the latex layer 23 are the same in thickness, and are thinner than the urethane layer 22; however, the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 and the latex layer 23 may be different in thickness from each other, and may be thickened more than the urethane layer 22 or may be equalized to the urethane layer 22 in thickness. In the core 20 according to the second example, the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 and the low-resilience urethane layer 26 are the same in thickness, and are thinner than the urethane layer 25; however, the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 and the low-resilience urethane layer 26 may be different in thickness from each other, and may be thickened more than the urethane layer 25 or may be equalized to the urethane layer 25 in thickness. In the core 20 according to the third example, the latex layer 27 and the low-resilience urethane layer 29 are the same in thickness, and are thinner than the urethane layer 28; however, the latex layer 27 and the low-resilience urethane layer 29 may be different in thickness from each other, and may be thickened more than the urethane layer 28 or may be equalized to the urethane layer 28 in thickness.

Moreover, in the cores 20 according to the above-described first to third examples, three layer structures are illustrated; however, the number of layers in each thereof is not limited to three. For example, in the core 20 according to the first example, an interposition layer (for example, a hard felt layer, a polyethylene sheet layer, a palm lock layer) may be present between the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 and the urethane layer 22 or between the latex layer 23 and the urethane layer 22.

By using FIG. 3, a description is made in detail of the cores 20 which compose the mattress according to the embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 3A, in the case where the size of the mattress 10 is single or three quarter, the mattress 10 is composed of three cores 20. In this case, it is recommended that the three cores 20 should be arrayed, for example, so that long sides of the rectangular cores 20 can be brought into contact with one another.

It is conceived that the mattress 10 as shown in FIG. 3A is effective in the case where the cores 20 are desired to be used as those suitable for spots corresponding to the head portion, the back portion and the leg portions. For example, in the mattress 10, it is recommended that a surface suitable for the head portion should be selected for the core 20 in an A row, that a surface suitable for the back portion should be selected for the core 20 in a B row, and that a surface suitable for the leg portions should be selected for the core 20 in a C row.

As shown in FIG. 3B, in the case where the size of the mattress 10 is double or more, the mattress 10 is composed of six cores 20. In this case, it is recommended that the six cores 20 should be arranged, for example, so that the square cores 20 can be arrayed two by two in a short side direction of the mattress 10.

In addition to the effect in such a usage example of FIG. 3A, the mattress 10 as shown in FIG. 3B is conceived to be effective in the case where a plurality of sleepers lie down on the bed (for example, in the case of a couple, in the case where a parent lies by the side of his/her small child, or the like). For example, when a small child or an old person lies down on the bed, it is recommended to select the surfaces of the extremely fine fibrous resin layers, in each of which the extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together, and the surfaces of the high-resilience latex layers so as to allow the small child or the old person to turn from side to side with ease. It is recommended that a fat person should select the surfaces of the extremely fine fibrous resin layers excellent in air permeability, in each of which the extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together, in order to suppress the night sweats. It is recommended that a slender person should select the surfaces of the low-resilience urethane layers which serve like wrapping the body. That is to say, as described above, it is possible to appropriately select preferred surfaces, which correspond to the purposes of the sleepers, for a P column or Q column of the mattress 10. Accordingly, the mattress 10 is formed so that the cores 20 can be different in configuration side by side between the P column and the Q column, whereby the sound and pleasant sleep can be ensured for each of the sleepers.

By using FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, a description is made of details of the laid bedding for a bed according to the embodiment of the present invention. Here, the description is made by using the mattress 10 using six cores 20 according to the first example in FIG. 2A; however, the structure and number of the cores 20 are not limited to those thus illustrated, and are changeable in various ways.

As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the mattress 10 is laid and filled in the closed-bottom frame 30. Here, a thickness T of the mattress 10 composed of the cores 20 is higher than a height (depth of the closed-bottom frame 30) H of the edge portion 50. In the case of an example in FIG. 5, approximately two-thirds of each of the extremely fine fibrous resin layers 21 of the cores 20 protrude from an upper surface of the edge portion 50.

Note that the resilience and thickness of the mattress 10 are adjusted so that an upper surface of the mattress 10 and the upper surface of the edge portion 50 can be flush in height with each other in the case where the sleeper is present on the mattress 10 concerned.

As described above, the mattress 10 according to the embodiment of the present invention is formed of the cores 20 with the three layer structure. Specifically, as constituents of the mattress 10, there are used: the core 20 (first example) which includes the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 21 excellent in air permeability, in which the extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together, the urethane layer 22, and the high-resilience latex layer 23 provided with the plurality of air vent holes; the core 20 (second example) which includes the extremely fine fibrous resin layer 24 excellent in air permeability, in which the extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together, the urethane layer 25, and the low-resilience urethane layer 26; and the core 20 (third example) which includes the latex layer 27 provided with the plurality of air vent holes, the urethane layer 28 and the low-resilience urethane layer 29.

The mattress 10, in which front and back (upper and lower) surfaces of the cores 20 according to each of the first to third examples as described above are selected, is used by being laid and filled in the closed-bottom frame 30 in response to the purpose (for example, in the case where it is desired to allow the small child or the old person to turn from side to side with ease, in the case where it is desired to cope with a season such as the summer season when wakeful sultry nights continue and the winter season including extremely cold nights, in the case where the cores 20 suitable for the spots corresponding to the head portion, the back portion and the leg portions are desired to be used, and the like). In such a way, the sound and pleasant sleep can be ensured. For example, at a sultry night, the sleeper lies down on the surfaces of the extremely fine fibrous resin layers 21 and 24, in each of which the extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together, or on the surfaces of the high-resilience latex layers 23 and 27 in which the air permeability is further improved, and moreover, at an extremely cold night in a midwinter, the sleeper lies down on the surfaces of the low-resilience urethane layers 26 and 29 which give a sense of security like wrapping the body, and further, the small child or the old person lies down on the surfaces of the extremely fine fibrous resin layers 21 and 24, in each of which the extremely fine fibrous resin is three-dimensionally intertwined and welded together, so as to be facilitated to turn from side to side, whereby the sound and pleasant sleep, which corresponds to the season and the purpose, can be ensured.

Moreover, the mattress 10 is composed of the plurality of cores 20. Therefore, for example, the front and back of the mattress 10 are changed along a longitudinal direction of the laid bedding for a bed, whereby hardness and softness, which correspond to the region (for example, the head, the back, the hip or the like) of the body, can be realized. Moreover, the plurality of cores 20 are arranged in a width direction of the laid bedding for a bed for two persons, whereby hardness and softness, which correspond to a preference, build and shape of each of the persons, can be realized.

Furthermore, the mattress 10, which is composed of the plurality (for example, three or six) of cores 20 in response to the size, is laid and filled in the closed-bottom frame 30. In such a way, a positional shift and deformation (losing shape) of the mattress 10 and gaps between the cores 20 can be prevented.

Moreover, in the closed-bottom frame 30, the plurality of air vent holes 60 which allow the inner surface and outer surface of the closed-bottom frame 30 to communicate with each other are provided. In such a way, the air permeability is further ensured, and humidity is eliminated, whereby quality of the sleep can be improved in terms of soundness and pleasantness.

Moreover, the mattress 10 composed of the cores 20 is configured so that the thickness T thereof can be higher than the height H of the edge portion 50 of the closed-bottom frame 30. Therefore, in a state where the sleeper is not present, when a sheet or a towel blanket is covered on the mattress 10, a fluffy appearance with high quality can be given thereto. Meanwhile, in a state where the sleeper is present, the thickness T of the mattress 10 and the height H of the edge portion 50 of the closed-bottom frame 30 become substantially equal to each other, and a portion of the edge portion 50 of the closed-bottom frame 30 can also be used for the sleep.

Note that, though the description has been made of the embodiment of the present invention, this embodiment is presented merely as an example, and is not intended to limit the scope of the invention. This embodiment is changeable in various ways within the scope without departing from the spirit of the invention. For example, the core 20 which composes the mattress 10 is not limited to use for the laid bedding for a bed, and is also usable as a Japanese flat floor cushion, a usual cushion, or the like.

In the mattress and the laid bedding for a bed according to the present invention, the core which composes the mattress is formed of three layers, and the mattress is configured in such a manner that the cores selected in response to the purpose of the sleeper and to the season are combined with one another. Then, the sleeper lies down on the laid bedding, in which the above-described mattress is laid and filled in the closed-bottom frame. In such a way, a tired body can be healed, and a sound and pleasant sleep, which gives more comfort, can be ensured.
