BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A layer of fabrics sewn together creating a comfortable device to be worn around the neck while using heated hair styling devices. This device will protect the neck from burns.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

1. As stated above, the problem it solves is burns to the neck. The invention claimed here solves this problem.

2. Wrap the “Love My Neck Protector” around the neck while curling or straightening hair The Love My Neck Protector will help prevent hot devices such as curling irons, hair straighteners, hot rollers and other heated styling devices from touching the neck. This will help eliminate burns to the neck.

3. The claimed invention differs from what currently exists. I have not been able to find any existing inventions like this that is being displayed in stores or on the interne. This is a much needed product for healthier skin.

4. My invention appears to be the first that will be displayed in stores everywhere. It will sell very well if displayed in the hair devices section of retail stores and including beauty supply houses and salons. There is none like this that I can find.

The Version of The Invention Discussed Here Includes:

1. High Heat Resistant Therma Flec Fabric

2. Warm & White Batting Fabric

3. Flannel Fabric

4. Thread

5. Velcro

6. Buttons

Relationship Between The Components:

0001. The (01), (02) & (03) are cut in equal sizes and sewn together With (04) binding them together and (02) being the unseen middle layer.

0002. (05) Is placed on opposite sides & ends of each other with (4) sewing them into

0003. (03) Is the side that lies against the skin. (01) Is the side that faces outward while in use.

0004. (06) Is sewn onto (01) for decorative use and to let consumer know which side is to face outward when in use.

How the Invention Works:

(01,02 & 03) The high heat resistant therma flec fabric, warm & white fabric and flannel fabric is cut in equal sizes of 19½ inches by 3½ inches. The fabric is then bound together by means of (04) thread. (05) Velcro allows the device to be fastened by sewing it to the device by means of (04) thread. When the device is worn the (01) high heat resistant therma flec fabric faces outward towards heated hair styling devices. The (03) flannel fabric faces the skin for added comfort. The (02) warm & white batting fabric is an unseen middle layer that is between the (01) high heat resistant therma flec fabric and the (03) flannel fabric. The (02) warm & white batting fabric serves as a padding giving extra protection. The three layers (01) high heat resistant therma flec fabric, (01) warm & white batting fabric and (03) flannel fabric work together to deliver a comfortable effective shield against burns to the neck while using heated hair styling device. The (6) buttons are for decorative purpose that also show consumers how to position the device while wearing.

How to Make the Invention:

1. Cut therma flec fabric, warm & white fabric and flannel fabric in equal sizes of 3½ inch by 19½ inch.

2. Cut Velcro 2 inch

3. Sew one side of velcro centered on right side of flannel set back 1 inch from end of fabric.

4. Sew other side of Velcro centered on therma flec set back 1½ inch from end of fabric.

5. Place warm & white fabric against wrong side of therma flec. Sew ¼ inch seam around all four sides.

6. Sew a design at the end of the herma flec set back ¾ inch.

7. Sew first button on therma flec ½ inch from center of design in #6

8. Sew second button on therma flec ¾ inch from center of first button.

9. Sew third button on therma flec ¾ inch from center of second button.

10. Pin right sides of therma flec and flannel fabric together with pieces of Velcro opposite each other.

11. Starting with the long side of device & same end as velcro on therma flec , sew down the side, turn and sew along end and then turn and sew back up alon the other long side. Do not sew the end where the velcro is on the therma flec closed.

12. Using the open end, turn the device inside out.

13. Turn the raw edges on the end inward ½ inch

14. Sew the open (turned in edges) closed with a ¼ inch seam.
