CAN STRUCTURE FOR STORING TESTING STRIP

A can structure for storing testing strip, mainly consisting of a can body, a cover and a moisture-proof can. After the cover is put on the can body, an elastic mechanism on the cover is pressed, and then the elastic mechanism restores its position automatically so that a space inside the can body is changed through reciprocation of the elastic mechanism to make a pressure outside the can body higher than a pressure inside the can body. This can improve the tightness of engagement between the can body and the cover to ensure that the can body is maintained at a completely closed state to effectively store the testing strip, and by means of a desiccant filled in the moisture-proof can, the testing strip is kept dry.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to a can structure for storing testing strip , and more particularly, to a can structure that can improve and maintain tightness of a can body and keep the testing strip dry.

2. Description of Related Art

As shown in FIG. 1, a typical conventional container for storing testing strip mainly consists of a can body 1 having a receiving space 10 and a cover 11. By putting the testing strip into the receiving space 10 of the can body 1 and close up the cover 11, the testing strip can be stored in an enclosed space to be insulated from moisture that would make the testing strip fail. However, although an enclosed space is obtained in the can body 1 after the cover 11 is closed up, a certain amount of air which contains some moisture and dusts to some degree is still retained in the receiving space 10, and this may still make the testing strip fail due to deterioration after an extended time period. Moreover, when the can body 1 is not closed tightly or when the tight seal of the can body 1 fails after an extended time period of use, the ambient air may also come into the can body 1 to make the testing strip fail due to deterioration. Furthermore, because the cover 11 is not joined to the can body 1, the cover 11 may get lost after it is removed. All these shortcomings are undesirable for users.

Accordingly, the technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to make an improvement on the aforesaid shortcomings.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary objective of the present invention is to provide a can structure for storing testing strip, which comprises a can body, a cover and a moisture-proof can. By pressing an elastic mechanism on the cover and having the elastic mechanism restore its position automatically, a space inside the can body is changed through reciprocation of the elastic mechanism to make a pressure outside the can body higher than that inside the can body. This can improve the tightness of engagement between the can body and the cover to ensure that the can body is maintained at a completely closed state to effectively store the testing strip.

A secondary objective of the present invention is as follows: a desiccant is filled in the moisture-proof can threaded at the bottom of the can body to keep the testing strip stored in the can body dry; and at an end of a thread that is formed on the bottom of the can body to screw the moisture-proof can, a stopper is disposed to prevent the moisture-proof can from being detached after being threaded onto the can body.

Another objective of the present invention is as follows: a flange is formed annularly around an outer surface of the cover, which can not only help to maintain the tightness of engagement between the cover and the can body, but also act as a force-applying point to facilitate opening of the cover.

FIG. 7 is a third view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIG. 2, FIG. 3, FIG. 4, FIG. 5, FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, a perspective outside view, a perspective exploded view, and a schematic partial view of a can structure of the present invention and views of a preferred embodiment of the present invention are shown therein respectively. As can be seen clearly, the can structure of the present invention comprises:

a can body 2, being formed with a plurality of through-holes 20 at a bottom thereof and formed with a thread 21 on an outer surface of a bottom portion thereof, with a stopper 22 being disposed at an end of the thread 21;

a cover 3, being provided with an elastic mechanism 31 thereon and provided with a connecting element 32 at a side thereof to connect the cover 3 with the can body 2, wherein a flange 33 is disposed annularly around an outer surface of the cover 3; and

a moisture-proof can 4 threaded to the bottom of the can 2, wherein the moisture-proof can 4 is filled with a desiccant 42 and a thread 41 is formed at an inner periphery of the moisture-proof can 4 to thread the moisture-proof can 4 to the bottom of the can body 2.

The can structure of the present invention is mainly used to store the testing strip 5 to prevent failure of the testing strip 5 due to exposure to moisture and dusts contained in the air. As shown, the moisture-proof can 4 filled with the desiccant 42 is threaded to the bottom of the can body 2 firstly before the testing strip 5 is put into the can body 2, and then the testing strip 5 is put into the can body 2 and the cover 3 is closed up. Afterwards, the elastic mechanism 31 disposed on the cover 3 is pressed, and then the elastic mechanism 31 restores it position automatically. In this way, the testing strip 5 can be stored in the can body 2.

The elastic mechanism 31 is disposed on the cover 3 for the following reason: by pressing the elastic mechanism 31 and having the elastic mechanism 31 restore its position repeatedly, the space inside the can body 2 can be changed in such a way that, when the elastic mechanism 31 is pressed, the space inside the can body 2 is compressed to become smaller, and when the elastic mechanism 31 restores its position, the space inside the can body 2 becomes larger to make a pressure inside the can body 2 smaller than that outside the can body 2. Thereby, the tightness of engagement between the can body 2 and the cover 3 can get improved to prevent entry of the ambient air into the can body 2. As a result, the testing strip 5 will not fail due to exposure to the moisture and dusts contained in the air. Furthermore, the desiccant 42 that is filled in the moisture-proof can 4 threaded to the bottom of the can body 2 can absorb trace moisture from the air originally retained in the can body 2, and this can ensure a complete dry state in the can body 2 so as to keep the testing strip 5 dry.

Besides that the tightness of engagement between the can body 2 and the cover 3 is improved through reciprocation of the elastic mechanism 31, a flange 33 is disposed annularly around the cover 3 in the present invention. Through the design of the flange 33, the overall strength of the cover 3 is increased so that the cover 3 can still remain non-deformed even when it is pressed by an external force or when the can body falls off inadvertently. This can prevent generation of a gap, which would allow entry of the ambient air into the can body 2, between the can body 2 and the cover 3 due to deformation of the cover 3. Furthermore, because the pressure outside the can body 2 is greater than that inside the can body 2, engagement between the can body 2 and the cover 3 is very tight, but the flange 33 provides a force-applying point for the user to open the cover 3 easily. Additionally, the connecting element 32 disposed at a side of the cover 3 to connect with the can body 2 is mainly used to connect with the can body 2 even when the cover 3 is opened so as to prevent loss of the cover 3.

It is worth noting that, in order to prevent the moisture-proof can 4, which is used to keep the interior of the can body 2 dry, from getting loose or dropping out due to an external force or an unintended opening and to prevent entry of the ambient air into the can body 2 due to opening of the moisture-proof can 4, a stopper 22 is further disposed at an end of the thread 21 on the outer surface of the bottom of the can body 2. Thus, once the moisture-proof can 4 is threaded to the can body 2, it will be impossible to detach the moisture-proof can 4 because of the abutting and limiting actions of the stopper 22. Of course, this design can also prevent children to detach the moisture-proof can 4 to mistakenly eat the desiccant 42 contained therein.

According to the above descriptions, as compared to the conventional containers for storing testing strip that have various shortcomings, the can structure of the present invention can, by using the elastic mechanism 31 to produce a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the can body 2, improve the tightness of engagement between the can body 2 and the cover 3 so that the testing strip 5 will not fail due to exposure to the moisture and dusts contained in the air. Furthermore, by means of the moisture-proof can 4 disposed at the bottom of the can body 2, the interior of the can body 2 can be kept dry to maintain the dry state of the testing strip 5. With the dual effects, the storage life of the testing strip 5 can be prolonged. Moreover, through the design of the stopper 22 that prevents detachment of the moisture-proof can 4, the dry state in the can body 2 can be further maintained and the safety concern that the desiccant 42 might be mistakenly eaten by children is eliminated. Meanwhile, in case that dusts enter into the can body 2, the can body 2 may be shaken so that the dusts fall off into the moisture-proof can 4 via the through-holes 20 under the action of the gravity force, and electrostatic charges can be generated due to friction of the desiccant 42 that is shaken so that the desiccant 42 can absorb the dusts that fall off to achieve the purpose of cleaning the testing strip 5.

What described above is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention but is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Accordingly, alterations and modifications can be made by any of those skilled in the art without departing from the spirits and scopes of the present invention. Therefore, the scope of the present invention shall be governed by the claims thereof.
