Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to applicators more particularly to such an improved applicator having characteristics of easy use, multiple section, easy replacement, and portability.

2. Description of Related Art

Applicators are substances widely used. For example, an applicator can be applied to the body to soothe the body after exercise; or the shoulder and the neck to release pain when operating a computer on a desk.

Conventionally, applicators are provided a fixed head. Thus, it is impossible of replacing the head with other means if such needs such as cleaning, massaging, and lotion application arise. Further, such means may occupy precious space and are not easy carry. Thus, the need for improvement still exists.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore one object of the invention to provide an improved applicator for solving problems associated with the conventional applicator.

In one aspect of the invention, an improved applicator comprising a container including an internal space, a channel at an upper end of the container, and a projection at a lower end of the container; and an application assembly disposed on an upper end of the container and including a plurality of tubes each including a projecting applicator head at a lower end.

By utilizing the invention, a user may squeeze the container to apply lotion in the space to the part of the body for soothing through the applicator head such as sponges, brushes, or rotatable ball. As a result, the body can be soothed. The applicator heads can be stacked on the upper end of the container so that characteristics of easy use, multiple section, easy replacement, and portability can be carried out.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIGS. 1A and 1B are exploded views of an improved applicator according to the invention respectively;

FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the assembled improved applicator; and

FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2 showing the applicator with the cap removed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B, an improved applicator in accordance with the invention comprises a cylindrical, hollow container 1 and an application assembly 2 wherein the container 1 comprises an internal space 10, a channel 11 at an upper end of the container 1, an externally threaded projection 12 at a lower end of the container 1; and the application assembly 2 comprises a first tube 20 including a projecting applicator head 200 at a lower end, a second tube 21 including a projecting applicator head 210 at a lower end, and a third tube 22 including a projecting applicator head 220 at a lower end.

As shown, the improved applicator of the invention comprises a container 1 and an application assembly 2 wherein the container 1 comprises an internal space 10, a channel 11 at an upper end, an externally threaded projection 12 at a lower end, two opposite cavities 13 on a top of the channel 11, and a perforated disc 14 attached to the bottom of the externally threaded projection 12.

The application assembly 2 comprises a first tube 20 including a projecting applicator head 200 at an upper end, a second tube 21 including a projecting applicator head 210 at an upper end, and a third tube 22 including a projecting applicator head 220 at an upper end wherein the first tube 20 includes a partially threaded inner surface 201, two opposite cavities 202 on an annular surface at a lower end adjacent to the partially threaded inner surface 201, and two opposite protrusions 203 on an annular surface at an upper end; the second tube 21 includes a partially threaded inner surface 211, two opposite cavities 212 on an annular surface at a lower end adjacent to the partially threaded inner surface 211, and two opposite protrusions 213 on an annular surface at an upper end; and the third tube 22 includes a partially threaded inner surface 221, two opposite cavities 222 on an annular surface at a lower end adjacent to the partially threaded inner surface 221, and two opposite protrusions 223 on an annular surface at an upper end. The applicator head 200 is a sponge, the applicator head 210 is a rotatable ball, and the applicator head 220 is a plurality of brushes. Further, the invention comprises a cup shaped cap 3 including two opposite cavities 30 on an annular surface at an open end.

Referring to FIG. 2 in conjunction with FIGS. 1A and 1B, as shown, the first tube 20 is secured to the other open end of the container 1 by threadedly securing the partially threaded inner surface 201 to the externally threaded projection 12; the second tube 21; the second tube 21 is secured to the other open end of the container 1 by threadedly securing the partially threaded inner surface 211 to the externally threaded projection 12; and the third tube 22 is secured to the other open end of the container 1 by threadedly securing the partially threaded inner surface 221 to the externally threaded projection 12 wherein the opposite protrusions 203 are snapped into the opposite cavities 202, the opposite protrusions 213 are snapped into the opposite cavities 212, and the opposite protrusions 223 are snapped into the opposite cavities 222. Thus, the cap 3 is secured to the application assembly 2. The application assembly 2 can be secured to the upper end of the container 1 by using the channel 11.

Referring to FIG. 3 in conjunction with FIGS. 1A and 1B, as shown, a user may detach the cap 3 and then secure the cap 3 to the second tube 21 by snapping the opposite protrusions 31 into the opposite cavities 212 prior to use. Thus, the applicator head (implemented as sponge) 200 is exposed. The applicator head 200 can be replaced by the applicator head 210 (implemented as a rotatable ball) or can be replaced by the applicator head 220 (implemented as a plurality of brushes) in the upper end of the container 1 for ease of storage and soothing body. Next, the individual may squeeze the container 1 to apply lotion in the space 10 to the part of the body through the perforated disc 14 and the applicator head 200. As a result, the body can be soothed. After the lotion is used up, a user may detach, for example the cap 3, at least one of the first, second, and third tubes 20, 21, and 22, and the perforated disc 14. Next, the individual may refill lotion into the space 10.

It is envisaged by the invention that the improved applicator has characteristics of easy use, multiple section, easy replacement, and portability.

In view of above description, the improved applicator of the invention has the following advantages:

The improved applicator of the invention allows a user to replace the applicator head with another one as desired

The improved applicator of the invention allows the applicator heads can be stacked and secured to the upper end of the container.

The improved applicator of the invention allows a user to detach the perforated disc prior to refilling lotion into the space.

The improved applicator of the invention allows a user to put the cap onto the applicator head after use.

While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
