HAT DISPLAY BOX

A structure is generally described which may be effective to store and/or display a product. The structure may include a top, a bottom, a left side, a right side and a back. The top and bottom may be the same dimensions. The left side and right side may be the same dimensions and a shorter length than the top and bottom. The left side, right side, and back may be secured to the bottom and to the top so as to form a structure with edges from the top, the bottom, the left side and the right side aligned with the back. The structure may define a storage area within the space enclosed by the top, the bottom, the left side, the right side and the back. The structure may define a display area between the top and the bottom that extends past the left side and the right side.

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims priority to U.S. provisional application No. 61/867,970, filed Aug. 20, 2013, entitled “Hat Display Box”, the entirety of which is hereby incorporated by reference.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Hat boxes come in many sizes, shapes and styles. Generally, they are used for storage and display of hats. Hats may be displayed with cubbyhole or honeycomb wall mounted displays or shelves. Hats may also be displayed with wire mounts secured to slat walls.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In some examples, structures effective to store and display a product are generally described. The structures may include a top piece including a first and second long edge and a first and second short edge. In some other examples, the structures may further include a bottom piece including a third and fourth long edge and a third and fourth short edge. In various other examples, the structures may further include a left side piece including a fifth and sixth long edge and a fifth and sixth short edge. In yet other examples, the structures may further include a right side piece including a seventh and eighth long edge and a seventh and eighth short edge. In other examples, the structures may further include a back piece including a ninth and tenth long edge and a ninth and tenth short edge. The top piece and the bottom piece may be the same dimensions. In various examples, the left side piece and right side piece may be the same dimensions. In some examples, a first distance along the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth long edges may be less than a second distance along the first, second, third and fourth long edges. In some further examples, the first short edge of the top piece and the third short edge of the bottom piece may be secured to the ninth and tenth long edge of the back piece respectively such that the top piece is arranged in a first plane and the bottom piece is arranged in a second plane. In some examples, the first plane may be parallel to the second plane. In some examples, the fifth short edge of the left side piece and the seventh sort edge of the right side piece may be secured to the ninth and tenth short edge of the back piece respectively such that: the fifth long edge of the left side piece may be secured to the first long edge of the top piece, the sixth long edge of the left side piece may be secured to the third long edge of the bottom piece, the seventh long edge of the right side piece may be secured to the second long edge of the top piece, and the eighth long edge of the right side piece may be secured to the fourth long edge of the bottom piece. In various examples, the structures may be effective to define a storage area within a space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece. In various other examples, the top piece and the bottom piece may extend past the left side piece and the right side piece along a length of the structure. In some further examples, the structures may be effective to define a display area between the portions of the top piece and the bottom piece that extend past the left side piece and the right side piece.

In some examples, methods for assembling a structure are generally described. In various examples, the methods may include securing a first long edge of a back piece to a first short edge of a bottom piece. In some examples, the back piece may form a perpendicular angle relative to the bottom piece. In some other examples, the bottom piece may be arranged in a first plane. In various examples, the methods may further include securing a second long edge of the back piece to a second short edge of a top piece. In some examples, the top piece may be arranged in a second plane. In some examples, the back piece may form a perpendicular angle relative to the top piece. In various examples, the first plane may be parallel to the second plane. In some further examples, the methods may include securing a third short edge of the back piece to a fourth short edge of a left side piece. In various examples, a third long edge of the left side piece may be aligned to the fourth long edge of the top piece and a fifth long edge of the left side piece may be aligned to a sixth long edge of the bottom piece. In some examples, the methods may further include securing the third long edge of the left side piece to the fourth long edge of the top piece and the fifth long edge of the left side piece to the sixth long edge of the bottom piece. In some other examples, the methods may further include securing a fifth short edge of the back piece to a sixth short edge of a right side piece. In some examples, a seventh long edge of the right side piece may be secured to an eighth long edge of the top piece and a ninth long edge of the right side piece may be aligned to a tenth long edge of the bottom piece. In various examples, the methods may further include securing the seventh long edge of the right side piece to the eighth long edge of the top piece and the ninth long edge of the right side piece to the tenth long edge of the bottom piece. In some examples, the structure may be effective to define a storage area within a space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece. In some other examples, the top piece and the bottom piece may extend past the left side piece and the right side piece along a length of the structure. In some further examples, the structure may be effective to define a display area between the portions of the top piece and the bottom piece that extend past the left side piece and the right side piece.

In some other examples, methods to store and display hats are generally described. In some examples, the methods may include placing a hat in a structure. In various examples, the structure may include a top piece including a first and second long edge and a first and second short edge. In some other examples, the structures may further include a bottom piece including a third and fourth long edge and a third and fourth short edge. In some further examples, the structure may include a left side piece including a fifth and sixth long edge and a fifth and sixth short edge. In some other examples, the structure may further include a right side piece including a seventh and eighth long edge and a seventh and eighth short edge. In various examples, the structure may further include a back piece including a ninth and tenth long edge and a ninth and tenth short edge. In some examples, the top piece and the bottom piece may be the same dimensions. In various examples, the first short edge of the top piece and the third short edge of the bottom piece may be secured to the ninth and tenth long edge of the back piece respectively. In some examples, the top piece may be arranged in a first plane and the bottom piece may be arranged in a second plane. In some further examples, the first plane may be parallel to the second plane. In some further examples, the fifth short edge of the left side piece and the seventh sort edge of the right side piece may be secured to the ninth and tenth short edge of the back piece respectively. In some examples, the fifth long edge of the left side piece may be secured to the first long edge of the top piece. In some other examples, the sixth long edge of the left side piece may be secured to the third long edge of the bottom piece. In some further examples, the seventh long edge of the right side piece may be secured to the second long edge of the top piece. In various other examples, the eighth long edge of the right side piece may be secured to the fourth long edge of the bottom piece. In some further examples, the structure may be effective to define a storage area within a space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece. In various examples, the top piece and the bottom piece may extend past the left side piece and the right side piece along a length of the structure. In some further examples, the structure may be effective to define a display area between the portions of the top piece and the bottom piece that extend past the left side piece and the right side piece. In various other examples, placing the hat in the structure may include placing the hat in the storage area within the space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT(S)

In the following detailed description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings which form a part thereof. In the drawings, similar symbols typically identify similar components unless context indicates otherwise. The illustrative embodiments described in the detailed description, drawings and claims are not meant to be limiting. Other embodiments may be utilized and other changes may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the subject matter presented herein. It will be readily understood that the aspects of the present disclosure as generally described herein and as illustrated in the accompanying figures can be arranged, substituted, combined, separated and/or designed in a wide variety of different configurations all of which are explicitly contemplated herein.

FIG. 1 illustrates a front, angled, isometric view of an example of a structure 100 that may define a hat display box, arranged in accordance with at least some embodiments presented herein. Structure 100 may include a top piece 110, a bottom piece 120, a left side piece 130, a right side piece 140 and a back piece 150. In some examples, top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and back piece 150 may be referred to as a set of pieces. Top piece 110 may be arranged in a rectangular shape and may include two relatively longer edges and two relatively shorter edges. Similarly, bottom piece 120 may be arranged in a rectangular shape and may include two relatively longer edges and two relatively shorter edges. Left side piece 130 may be arranged in a rectangular shape and may include two relatively longer edges and two relatively shorter edges. Right side piece 140 may be arranged in a rectangular shape and may include two relatively longer edges and two relatively shorter edges. Back piece 150 may be arranged in a rectangular shape and may include two relatively longer edges and two relatively shorter edges. Top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and back piece 150 may be assembled such as to form structure 100 as shown in more detail below.

In some examples, relatively longer edges of top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140, and/or back piece 150 may be referred to as long edges. In various other examples, a distance along a long edge of top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, and/or right side piece 140 may be referred to as a length of the particular piece. In some further examples, a distance along a long edge of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 may correspond to a length of structure 100. In some other examples, relatively shorter edges of top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140, and/or back piece 150 may be referred to as short edges. In some examples, a distance along a short edge of top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130 and/or right side piece 140 may be referred to as a width of the particular piece. In various other examples, a distance along a long edge of back piece 150 may be referred to as a width of back piece 150.

A distance along a long edge of back piece 150 may correspond to a width of back piece 150. In some other examples, a distance along a short edge of back piece 150 may be referred to as a height of back piece 150. A distance along a short edge of back piece 150 may correspond to a height of structure 100. Pieces (such as top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and back piece 150) may include a thickness dimension. The thickness of a particular piece may refer to a dimension of the piece which is orthogonal to both the length and the width of the particular piece.

When assembling structure 100 from top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140, and back piece 150, long edges of left side piece 130 may be secured to and aligned with long edges of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120. Long edges of right side piece 140 may be secured to and aligned with those long edges of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 to which left side piece 130 is not secured. Long edges of back piece 150 may be aligned with and secured to a short edge of top piece 110 and a short edge of bottom piece 120. Short edges of back piece 150 may be aligned with and secured to short edges of left side piece 130 and right side piece 140.

FIG. 2 illustrates a top, angled, isometric view of example structure 100 including more detail, arranged in accordance with at least some embodiments presented herein. Those components in FIG. 2 that are labeled identically to components of FIG. 1 will not be described again for the purposes of clarity. Top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 may be the same dimensions as each other. Left side piece 130 and right side piece 140 may be the same dimensions as each other. A long edge of back piece 150 may be secured to a short edge of bottom piece 120 such that back piece 150 forms a perpendicular angle relative to bottom piece 120. The other long edge of back piece 150 may be secured to a short edge of top piece 110 such that back piece 150 forms a perpendicular angle relative to top piece 110, and such that top piece 110 overhangs and is arranged in a first plane that is parallel to a second plane of bottom piece 120. Left side piece 130 and right side piece 140 may be secured to bottom piece 120 and to top piece 110. The long edges of left and right side pieces 130, 140 may be secured to the long edges of top and bottom pieces 110, 120 with a short edge of each side piece (e.g., left side piece 130 and right side piece 140) secured to short edges of back piece 150.

Left side piece 130 and right side piece 140 may have a length shorter than a length of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120. Structure 100 may define a storage area 160 within the space enclosed by top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and back piece 150. Structure 100 may define a display area 170 between the portions of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 which extend past left side piece 130 and right side piece 140.

Top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 may be arranged in such a way as to include slots or notches 180. Left side piece 130 and right side piece 140 may be arranged in such a way as to include slots or notches 182. Notches 180 may align with notches 182 when structure 100 is formed and/or assembled. In some examples, notches 180, 182 may be positioned to allow combination of additional structures 100.

Clips 190 may be used in notches 180, 182 to secure a first structure 100 to a second structure 100a (not shown in FIG. 2). In some examples, clips 190 may be arranged in a U-shape. In various examples, clips 190 may be made of metal or plastic. Clips 190 may secure a first structure 100 to a second structure 100 in multiple directions. For example, a structure 100 may be secured to a second structure 100a by attaching clips 190 at notches 180, 182 around a top piece 110 of a first structure 100 and a bottom piece 120 of a second structure 100. In another example, clips 190 may be attached at notches 180, 182 around a left side piece 130 of a first structure 100 and a right side piece 140 of a second structure 100.

Top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and back piece 150 may be made from any structural material, for example wood, plastic, metal, composite, glass, ceramic or any combination thereof. Pieces, such as top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140, and/or back piece 150 may be assembled and/or secured to one another in various combinations to form structure 100. Assembly and/or securing of particular pieces may be performed using various attachment devices. Examples of attachment devices may include adhesives, physical fasteners including screws, bolts and nails, staples and or any combination thereof. In some examples, top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and/or back piece 150 may be transparent or at least partially transparent. In other examples, top piece 110, bottom piece 120, left side piece 130, right side piece 140 and/or back piece 150 may be opaque.

FIG. 3 includes a rear view, a right side view A, a right side view B, a bottom view, a top view, and a left side view of structure 100, including more detail and dimensions, arranged in accordance with at least some embodiments presented herein. Those components in FIG. 3 that are labeled identically to components of FIG. 1-2 will not be described again for the purposes of clarity. The length of structure 100 may be twice the width of structure 100, i.e., a length to width ratio of 2 to 1. As is depicted in Right Side View A and Bottom View of FIG. 3, structure 100 may have a length of 1 foot, 8½ inches. As depicted in Rear View of FIG. 3, the width of structure 100 may be 10¼ inches. As depicted in Rear View, structure 100 may have a height of 8 inches. The height of structure 100 may correspond to the distance along short edges of left side piece 130 and right side piece 140. As depicted in Right Side View B, structure 100 may include storage area 160. In some examples, storage area 160 may accommodate the storage of up to 15 hats. As depicted in Left Side View, structure 100 may include a display area 170. In some examples, display area 170 may allow a hat or other object placed in display area 170 to be viewed by an observer.

As depicted in Right Side View A, a distance along long edges of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 may measure 1 foot 8½ inches in length. As depicted in Rear View, distance along short edges of top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 may measure 10¼ inches in width. In some examples, top piece 110 and bottom piece 120 may measure ½ inch in thickness. As depicted in Top View, top piece 110 may be arranged such that notches 180 measure 1½ inches in length. Long edges of top piece 110 may be arranged such notches are ¾inches deep, as depicted in Top View. As further depicted in Top View, long edges of top piece 110 may be arranged in such a way such that notches 180 may be located along the two long edges of top piece 110 starting at 7 inches from a short edge secured to back piece 150. Similarly, long edges of bottom piece 120 may be arranged in such a way that notches 180 may be 1½ inches long by ¾inches deep and may be located along the two long edges of bottom piece 120 starting at 7 inches from a short edge secured to back piece 150.

As depicted in Right Side View A, right side piece 140 may be 1 foot 3% inches long by 7 inches high by ½ inch in thickness. Left side piece 130 may be the same dimensions as right side piece 140. As depicted in Top View, notches 182 in left side piece 130 may be 1½ inches long by ¾inches deep and may be located along the two long edges of left side piece 130 starting at 7 inches from a short edge secured to back piece 150. Long edges of right side piece 140 may similarly include notches 182. In some examples, notches 182 in right side piece may be of the same dimensions as notches 182 of left side piece 130. Similarly, notches 182 of right side piece 140 may be located at positions along long edges of right side piece 140 which correspond to the positions of notches 182 along edges of left side piece 130. As depicted in Rear View, back piece 150 may be 9¼ inch wide by 7 inches high. In some examples, back piece 150 may include a thickness of ½ inch.

FIG. 4 illustrates examples of displays constructed from multiple structures 100. Structure 100 can be used to construct hat displays in various shapes and heights. The width to height ratio of 2 to 1 makes stacking units of structure 100 flexible and sturdy.

Certain aspects of the disclosure are not limited to materials mentioned as preferred embodiments. Furthermore, while advantages associated with certain embodiments of the disclosure have been described in the context of these embodiments, other embodiments may also exhibit such advantages, and not all embodiments need necessarily exhibit such advantages to fall within the scope of the invention. Accordingly, embodiments of the disclosure are not limited except as by appended claims.

Among other possible benefits, a hat display box may house fifteen total hats of all sizes of a typical hat shipment. The hat display box may take the merchandise directly from the shipping packaging to the display floor. The size of the hat display box may allow a salesperson or customer to easily access hats within the box to obtain the desired size. Hat displays may be located away from a perimeter wall and may be viewed by customers from many vantage points as customers walk around and through a display.

The shorter length of the side pieces to the top and bottom pieces of the hat display box allows a customer to view the product from various vantage points and creates a display area at the front of the box and a storage area at the rear of the box. Housing the merchandise in individual boxes creates a natural frame for displaying the merchandise and keeps adjacent styles and colors from bleeding into one another. The dimension of the hat display box in the top view is such that the width of the box equals half the total length of the box allowing the boxes maximum stability and flexibility for creating a myriad of display options.

While various aspects and embodiments have been disclosed herein, other aspects and embodiments will be apparent to those skilled in the art. The various aspects and embodiments disclosed herein are for purposes of illustration and are not intended to be limiting, with the true scope and spirit being indicated by the following claims.

Claims

1. A structure effective to store and display a product, the structure comprising:

a top piece including a first and second long edge and a first and second short edge;
a bottom piece including a third and fourth long edge and a third and fourth short edge;
a left side piece including a fifth and sixth long edge and a fifth and sixth short edge;
a right side piece including a seventh and eighth long edge and a seventh and eighth short edge;
a back piece including a ninth and tenth long edge and a ninth and tenth short edge; wherein the top piece and the bottom piece are the same dimensions, wherein the left side piece and right side piece are the same dimensions, and wherein a first distance along the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth long edges is less than a second distance along the first, second, third and fourth long edges; the first short edge of the top piece and the third short edge of the bottom piece are both secured to the ninth and tenth long edge of the back piece respectively such that the top piece is arranged in a first plane, the bottom piece is arranged in a second plane, and wherein the first plane is parallel to the second plane; the fifth short edge of the left side piece and the seventh sort edge of the right side piece are secured to the ninth and tenth short edge of the back piece respectively such that: the fifth long edge of the left side piece is secured to the first long edge of the top piece; the sixth long edge of the left side piece is secured to the third long edge of the bottom piece; the seventh long edge of the right side piece is secured to the second long edge of the top piece; the eighth long edge of the right side piece is secured to the fourth long edge of the bottom piece; the structure effective to define a storage area within a space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece; and wherein the top piece and the bottom piece extend past the left side piece and the right side piece along a length of the structure, and wherein the structure is effective to define a display area between the portions of the top piece and the bottom piece that extend past the left side piece and the right side piece.

2. The structure of claim 1 wherein at least one of the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece are made from a material that is at least partially transparent.

3. The structure of claim 1, wherein the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece include a material, and wherein the material includes at least one of wood, plastic, metal, composite, glass, ceramic or a combination thereof.

4. The structure of claim 1, wherein the securing is performed using an adhesive.

5. The structure of claim 1, wherein the securing is performed using physical fasteners.

6. The structure of claim 5, wherein the physical fasteners include screws, bolts, nails, staples and combinations thereof.

7. The structure of claim 1, wherein at least one of the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, and the right side piece is arranged in such a way as to include notches, wherein the notches are positioned to allow combination of additional structures.

8. The structure of claim 7, wherein the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece, and the back piece are a first set of pieces, and further comprising:

a second set of pieces, including a second top piece, a second bottom piece, a second left side piece, a second right side piece, and a second back piece, wherein the second set of pieces is arranged in an identical way to the first set of pieces; and
clips, wherein the clips are effective to secure the first set of pieces, as arranged, to the second set of pieces, as arranged, when the clips are placed in the notches of the first set of pieces and the second set of pieces.

9. The structure of claim 1, wherein the top piece and the bottom piece are 1 foot, 8½ inches long by 10¼ inches wide by ½ inch in thickness, the left side piece and the right side piece are 1 foot, 3% inches long by 7 inches high by ½ inch in thickness, and the back piece is 9¼ inch wide by 7 inches high by ½ inch in thickness.

10. A method for assembling a structure, the method comprising:

securing a first long edge of a back piece to a first short edge of a bottom piece such that the back piece forms a perpendicular angle relative to the bottom piece, and such that the bottom piece is arranged in a first plane;
securing a second long edge of the back piece to a second short edge of a top piece such that the top piece is arranged in a second plane, such that the back piece forms a perpendicular angle relative to the top piece, and wherein the first plane is parallel to the second plane;
securing a third short edge of the back piece to a fourth short edge of a left side piece such that a third long edge of the left side piece is aligned to the fourth long edge of the top piece and a fifth long edge of the left side piece is aligned to a sixth long edge of the bottom piece;
securing the third long edge of the left side piece to the fourth long edge of the top piece and the fifth long edge of the left side piece to the sixth long edge of the bottom piece;
securing a fifth short edge of the back piece to a sixth short edge of a right side piece such that a seventh long edge of the right side piece is secured to an eighth long edge of the top piece and a ninth long edge of the right side piece is aligned to a tenth long edge of the bottom piece; and
securing the seventh long edge of the right side piece to the eighth long edge of the top piece and the ninth long edge of the right side piece to the tenth long edge of the bottom piece;
wherein the structure is effective to define a storage area within a space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece; and
wherein the top piece and the bottom piece extend past the left side piece and the right side piece along a length of the structure, and wherein the structure is effective to define a display area between the portions of the top piece and the bottom piece that extend past the left side piece and the right side piece.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece include a material, and wherein the material includes at least one of wood, plastic, metal, composite, glass, ceramic or a combination thereof.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the securing is performed using an adhesive.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein the securing is performed using physical fasteners.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the physical fasteners include screws, bolts, nails, staples and combinations thereof.

15. The method of claim 10, wherein at least one of the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, and the right side piece is arranged in such a way as to include notches, wherein the notches are positioned to allow combination of additional structures.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein:

the structure includes a width;
the length corresponds to a first distance measured along the fourth long edge of the top piece;
the width corresponds to a second distance measured along the second short edge of the top piece; and
the first distance is twice the second distance.

17. The method of claim 10, wherein the top piece and the bottom piece are 1 foot 8½ inches long by 10¼ inches wide by ½ inch in thickness, the left side piece and the right side piece are 1 foot 3% inches long by 7 inches high by ½ inch in thickness, and the back piece is 9¼ inch wide by 7 inches high by ½ inch in thickness.

18. A method to store and display hats, the method comprising:

placing a hat in a structure, wherein the structure comprises: a top piece including a first and second long edge and a first and second short edge; a bottom piece including a third and fourth long edge and a third and fourth short edge; a left side piece including a fifth and sixth long edge and a fifth and sixth short edge; a right side piece including a seventh and eighth long edge and a seventh and eighth short edge; a back piece including a ninth and tenth long edge and a ninth and tenth short edge; wherein the top piece and the bottom piece are the same dimensions; the first short edge of the top piece and the third short edge of the bottom piece are secured to the ninth and tenth long edge of the back piece respectively such that the top piece is arranged in a first plane, the bottom piece is arranged in a second plane, and wherein the first plane is parallel to the second plane; the fifth short edge of the left side piece and the seventh sort edge of the right side piece are secured to the ninth and tenth short edge of the back piece respectively such that: the fifth long edge of the left side piece is secured to the first long edge of the top piece; the sixth long edge of the left side piece is secured to the third long edge of the bottom piece; the seventh long edge of the right side piece is secured to the second long edge of the top piece; the eighth long edge of the right side piece is secured to the fourth long edge of the bottom piece; wherein the structure is effective to define a storage area within a space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece; wherein the top piece and the bottom piece extend past the left side piece and the right side piece along a length of the structure, and wherein the structure is effective to define a display area between the portions of the top piece and the bottom piece that extend past the left side piece and the right side piece; and wherein placing the hat in the structure includes placing the hat in the storage area within the space enclosed by the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the top piece, the bottom piece, the left side piece, the right side piece and the back piece include a material and the material includes at least one of wood, plastic, metal, composite, glass, ceramic or a combination thereof.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the hat is a first hat, and further comprising placing a second hat in the display area.
