HEART ORNAMENT

A heart shaped ornament includes: a first half; a second half, wherein the first half and second half each include an outside surface perimeter and an inside surface perimeter; a mechanism to connect the first half and the second half along each respective inside perimeter; a first image on the first half; and a second image on the second half. In one exemplary embodiment, the mechanism to connect includes a plurality of magnets on each respective inside perimeter of the first half and the second half. Further the first image and second image may depict a couple. In the preferred embodiment, the first image and second image appear to be kissing when the first half is adjoined to the second half. The heart shaped ornament of the present may further include a loop along the top outside surface perimeter of each half.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a heart-shaped ornament that provides a unique feature as a keepsake for sentimental value.

2. Description of Related Art

Many individuals have certain keepsakes as for sentimental value. Such items may include pieces of jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, rings, pins and watches. All of these various types of jewelry can have particular designs and means of expression in order to develop and create any sentimental value. Such designs are always needed or sought after by various individuals. Consequently an ornament that provides a unique use and particular features can also be helpful to add to the market for such devices.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a heart shaped ornament comprising: a first half; a second half, wherein the first half and second half each include an outside surface perimeter and an inside surface perimeter; a means to connect the first half and the second half along each respective inside perimeter; a first image on the first half and a second image on the second half In one exemplary embodiment, the means to connect includes a plurality of magnets on each respective inside perimeter of the first half and the second half. Further the first image and second image may depict a couple. In the preferred embodiment, the first image and second image appear to be kissing when the first half is adjoined to the second half. The heart shaped ornament of the present may further include a loop along the top outside surface perimeter of each half.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a Heart-Shaped Ornament 100. The Heart-Shaped Ornament 100 includes two equally shaped portions of a heart. The heart is split into two equal halves through the middle section of the heart. The hearts may be united through the use of magnets provided on the inside surface of each half of the heart ornament. Joints are provided along the surface of each half portion that are joined together to create a unique look of the heart ornament. This heart ornament further includes images that meet at the connecting point of each portion. These images in one particular embodiment face each other and create images of a couple kissing once the heart is uniting to a single piece. Further nameplates are provided below each image so that a name may be inserted on the surface of the heart ornament.

With respect to FIG. 1, a heart ornament 100 is depicted. The heart ornament 100 includes a first half 30a and a second half 30b. Each half 30a, 30b include an outside surface perimeter and an inside surface perimeter that meet and join with the other respective half. Magnets 21a, 21b are provided at the top of each respective half 30a, 30b of the heart ornament 100. The first half 30a includes magnets 21a and 21c. The second half 30b includes magnets 21b and 21d. Magnets 21a, 21b adjoin Magnets 21c and Magnet 21d also adjoin once the two respective halves are connected together. The interaction between the respective magnets provides the means to join them to create the complete heart ornament 100.

Image 34a is provided on the first half 30a. Image 34b is provided on the second half 30b. These images 34a, 34b one particular embodiment present images of a couple. Further these images may also depict the couple joining in a kiss once the first half 30a and second half 30b are united through the use of the magnets. Below each image 34a, 34b, a nameplate 32a and 32b, respectively, is provided for each image 34a, 34b. The surface of each half 30a, 30b include soldered joints 35 and lie over the surface of each half of the heart ornament 100. Further loops 21a, 21b are provided at the top of these respective half so that the halves may be taken apart and worn as a necklace if so desired.

The heart ornament in accordance with the present invention essentially provides two halves of a large heart ornament with the use of a series of magnets that join each side with the other respective side. The heart ornament is especially conducive for use with a couple with which the duo can have a sentimental piece to remind the couple of their respective love and respect for each other. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.

Claims

1. A heart shaped ornament comprising:

a. a first half;
b. a second half, wherein the first half and second half each include an outside surface perimeter and an inside surface perimeter;
c. a means to connect the first half and the second half along each respective inside perimeter;
d. a first image on the first half; and
e. a second image on the second half.

2. The heart shaped ornament according to claim 1, where the means to connect includes a plurality of magnets on each respective inside perimeter of the first half and the second half.

3. The heart shaped ornament according to claim 1, where the first image and second image depict a couple.

4. The heart shaped ornament according to claim 3, where the first image and second image appear to be kissing when the first half is adjoined to the second half

5. The heart shaped ornament according to claim 1, further comprising a loop along the top outside surface perimeter of each half
