A beverage container identifier that is for marking ones beverage container. The beverage container identifier sits straddled on top of the rim of the beverage container. The shape being optional in design sits atop the rim of the beverage container so that said beverage container is recognizable.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view of a beverage container identifier in accordance with the invention; and

FIG. 2 is a detail view of a beverage container identifier on the rim of a cup.

For purposes of clarity and brevity, like elements and components will bear the same designations an d numbering throughout the Figures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

FIG. 1 is a front view of a beverage container identifier in accordance with the invention.

The beverage identifier 10 may be fabricated of rubber, food safe rubber, plastic, metal, or any other suitable material.

FIG. 2 is a detail view of a beverage identifier 10 on the rim of a cup. FIG. 2 portray a beverage container identifier in operation. This beverage container identifier in FIG. 2 is shown on the rim of a glass. FIG. 1 portrays in operation the beverage container identifier and the words NYC on the surface 12. These words on the beverage container identifier in FIG. 1 are to show an example of words to identify the beverage. FIG. 1 shows an example of words used for marking a beverage. FIG. 1 shows NYC on the surface 12 as a type of marketing on the beverage container identifier.

The surface 12 is for applying letters, logos, drawings, various colors, or any other suitable marking for identification of a beverage container. A beverage container may be a glass, cup, bowl, or any other suitable container for holding a beverage or liquid.

Since other modifications and changes varied to fit particular operating requirements and environment is will be apparent to those skilled in the art, the invention is not considered limited to the example chosen for purposes of disclosure, and covers all changes and modifications which do not constitute departures from the true spirit and scope of this invention.

Having thus described the invention, what is desired to be protected by Letters Patent is presented in the subsequently appended claims.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Drinks are consumed in numerous situations from barbeques in the backyard to bars to stadiums. Identifying ones beverage container from someone elses can be difficult when they have the same or similar beverage containers or beverages inside the container. Recognizing your beverage container from someones elses or being able to make your beverage container recognizable in a crowd is of need. Currently there are beverage identifiers that allow for a band to be placed around the beverage container. There is also a charm or identifier that lays at the bottom of a wine glass or around the neck of a bottle. Patent numbers US20120048869, US20100236119

The wine charm that lay at the bottom of the wine glass is for identifying a drink, but this is only for the bottom of wine glasses or the around the neck of bottles. The band that goes around the middle of the drink can be used on numerous types of cups but is unique to only fitting around the body of the beverage container. would be advantageous to provide a beverage identifier.

It would be advantageous to provide a beverage identifier that is placeable along the rim of the beverage container.

It would further be advantageous to provide a beverage identifier that straddles the rim of the beverage container and remains in place when said beverage container is held upside down.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a beverage identifier that is for marking ones beverage container. The beverage identifier sits straddled on top of the rim of the beverage container. The shape being optional in design sits atop the rim of the beverage container so that said beverage container is recognizable.

Claims

1. A beverage container identifier for identifying ones beverage container, comprising:

means for placement on a beverage container.

2. The beverage container identifier in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for placement on a beverage container comprises an open bottom, food safe beverage identifier, having an opening for pinching beverage holder.

3. A beverage container identifier for identifying ones beverage container, comprising:

an open bottom, food safe beverage identifier, having an opening for pinching beverage holder, for placement on a beverage container.

4. The beverage container identifier as recited in claim 3, further comprising:

a displaying logo on, displaying letters on surface, for marking of beverage holder, rigidly encompassing to said beverage identifier.

5. A beverage container identifier for identifying ones beverage container, comprising:

an open bottom, food safe beverage identifier, having an opening for pinching beverage holder, for placement on a beverage container; and
a displaying logo on, displaying letters on surface, for marking of beverage holder, rigidly encompassing to said beverage identifier.
