Toilet bowl scrubber

Disclosed herein is a toilet bowl cleaning pad that is 100% bio-degradable and eco-friendly. The pad contains soap and walnut shells which when pressure is applied to pad will suds, killing germs and bacteria. The toilet bowl pad dissolves when emerged into water. The product has a long handle, which is all you are left with once the toilet bowl is cleaned and disinfected. The pad easily attaches at the bottom of the pad to the handle. The handle is easy and convenient to store. This is a safer more efficient way to clean a toilet bowl.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a new toilet bowl scrubber.

2. Description of the Prior Art

U.S. Pat. No. 8,505,150 describes a sponge product for cleaning a work surface includes an open-cell melamine foam body layer having a front wall, rear wall, first sidewall or second sidewall that is inclined and at an acute angle relative to the upper surface of the body layer. An abrasive layer is adjacent the upper surface of the melamine foam body layer forming a unitary product. The abrasive layer has at least one of the front wall, rear wall, first sidewall or second sidewall forming an obtuse angle with the lower surface of the abrasive layer, and the abrasive layer upper surface and at least one front wall, rear wall, first sidewall or second sidewall forms a working edge having an acute angle, and the working edge remains flat against the work surface when a force is applied to the sponge product.

The pad is made of polyester, which is not bio-degradable, or eco-friendly. The scrubber is filled with soap and a chemical abrasive. Leaving the pad to collect debris and bacteria once the soap and abrasive has been immerged in water. The cleaner is left handling the pad to throw away into the landfill.

One side of the pad is covered in and adhesive, which makes it difficult or impossible to rinse out, thus it is not bio-degradable and is thrown away in landfills. The pad looses it strength for cleaning a surface after the adhesive is broken down from rinsing in clean water. The adhesive leaves the pad stiff and will easily break down. The adhesive will break down after rinsing in clean water, making it difficult to reattach to the handle.

Once the pad has taken one pass across a working surface, the pad becomes full of debris and bacteria. Depending on how thick the dirt or grease is determines on how long this product can be used. This makes it expensive and unnecessary to purchase.

This product has a plastic handle that is he same shape as the pad. This can cause scratching of the surface if it were to come into contact. This handle does not offer any extension leaving the cleaner to needed added equipment like a ladder, step stool, which added work making the task of cleaning a working surface taking longer in time and use added energy. These handles do not have a comfortable grip leaving them awkward to hold while cleaning a working surface.

This product requires rinsing the soap and abrasive off the working surface that will be left from the pad. It also requires another pad or cloth and clean water or steam. This takes added time to the task of cleaning the working surface, bowl, sink.

The shape of this product is limited and can only cover a small portion of any working surface, which limits what working surfaces you can clean effectively. This product remains flat against the working surface when force is applied, which will cause water, soap, and the abrasive to drip down leaving marks on other parts of the working surface. This creates more work if part of the working surface gets wet with soap and abrasive.

The abrasive is made of a non bio-degradable chemical leaving this a product that is not bio-degradable and remains toxic.

When is product is used to clean grease, dirt, or other debris will be spread over parts of the surface and require additional pads to complete the task of cleaning all or any working surfaces, leaving the cleaner the opportunity to run out of pads to complete the task at hand.

The product uses foam rather than a thick liquid soap. Foam does not cut through many types of greases and oils needing to use more pads and foam for many surfaces, as well as not be able to clean to desired satisfaction. Foam always needs to be rinsed with clean water or the foam will leave a residue leaving the working surface unsightly.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,945,076 discloses here in is a combined toilet bowl cleaning brush and storage container wherein the container forms upper and lower volumes and include a resilient vertically compressible bellows section. Disinfectant fluid is squirted on the brush. When released, the bellows expands and the brush is suspended above the fluid. A restrictor web can be placed at the throat of the lower volume to discourage refill us of the lower volume.

The current scrubber uses bristles held together by metal.

Using bristles to scrub hold onto bacteria and debris leaving both to grow inside the bristles. This causes the scrubber to smell and spread germs.

This product is held together with metal, which can scratch the toilet bowl or working surface. The bristles will break down exposing the metal in the scrubber making it useless. Bristles are usually made of plastic which is not bio-degradable and needs to be thrown away in landfills.

This scrubber typically requires a separate container to store the bristle scrubber. The container will store germs, bacteria, and smell after the first use. Spreading germs, bacteria and smells around the room where the surface is being cleaned. The container for the scrubber also requires cleaning independent, which creates more work, time and materials to complete the task of cleaning the toilet or working surface.

Bristles bend when force is applied leaving no abrasion to clean off hard water stains, lime scale build up or any hardened debris left in the toilet bowl. Bristles will also remain wet, which will drip leaving stains on the floor or other surfaces.

Using this mode of cleaning a toilet requires additional supplies, such as soap, abrasive, clean water and a clean cloth to complete the task of cleaning a toilet bowl.

The bristles scrubber is awkward to store and will contaminate any item store close to from the germs and bacteria that holds onto the bristles.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a toilet bowl scrubber that is easy to use and easily stored.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view of the toilet bowl scrubber. 10 is the entire tool assembled. 16 is an attachment device.

FIG. 2 is a front view of the pad. Pad 12 containing soap, walnut shells xanthan gum and water. This will dissolve when pressure is applied and emerged into water inside the toilet bowl. The shape of pad 12 lends to hugging the rim and ubend, and contours to scrub the surface of the toilet bowl.

FIG. 3 is a front view of handle 14 of toilet bowl scrubber 10.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION 1. Best Mode of the Invention

The Best Mode of Invention is FIGS. 1, 2, and 3 of the drawings. To scrub a toilet bowl clean, using bio-degradable materials that will not hurt any plumbing pipes. This scrubber will disinfect killing germs and bacteria from the toilet bowl. It dissolves leaving only the handle 14 to store.

2. How to Make the Invention

As you will see in FIG. 10 the designed 12 will dissolve while having a pad 14. The toilet bowl scrubber 10 has been designed to have a pad 12 that will dissolve while cleaning attached to a handle 14. The pad 12 has walnut shells as the abrasive on the pad 12. Walnut shells are used as odor absorbers and act as the abrasive cleans hard water stains, lime scale build up, scrubs off all hardened debris attached to the surface. Walnut shells do not scratch porcelain, and are 100 bio-degradable leaving them safe for plumbing pipes.

As seen in FIG. 2 of drawings the soap is molded into a small form onto pad 12, when force is applied and the pad 12 is emerged into water will suds; leaving a clear coat on bowl surface, which acts as a resistant for any hard water or other debris to build up between scrubbing. The soap breaks down oils and cleans, disinfects, kills germs in the toilet bowl. This leaves the toilet bowl smelling clean.

This toilet bowl scrubber 10, pad 12 cleaner will start to dissolve when you place it in the water while the toilet is being cleaned. This leaves only the handle 14 to store.

This tool is light weight and easy to store since only the handle 14 needs to be stored for later use. It has an easy to use handle 14 that is long enough to reach and has an attachment device 16 that may be screw, adhesive, or other convenient attachment mechanisms made of rubber, adhesive to the bottom so the soap refill can be easily attached. The handle 14 is made out of strong plastic, bamboo or any other appropriate material for a handle 14.

This product does not require a additional container for storage, leaving only handle 14 to store. Using less space, and will not spread germs and bacteria in the closet or cabinet. The handle 14 will not leave any smell behind after completing the task of cleaning the toilet bowl. This product does not take any space on the floor or any other part of the space around the toilet.

This invention saves time and money to complete the task of cleaning the toilet bowl.

3. How to Use the Invention

Using attachment device 16 attach the pad 12 to the handle 14 until secure. Place scrubber 10 into toilet bowl and scrub right, left and in a circular motion. This will create suds. Each side is designed to hug the under rim and ubend of the toilet bowl.

The soap impregnated pad 12 will start to dissolve once it enters the water and walnut shells will scrub the toilet bowl. The walnut shells will absorb odors inside the toilet bowl. This is fast, easy way to clean the toilet. This product cuts time and money to complete the task of cleaning the toilet bowl.

This product is 100% bio-degradable leaving it safe for plumbing pipes. Nothing needs to be thrown away resulting in being eco-friendly.

4. Examples of the Invention

1 cup Soap/Cleaning Agent (Lineal Anionic Surfactant), Water Softener (Aluminosukucates and Silicate), Soil Suspenending Agent (C.M.C.), Optical Brightener and Perfume.

1 tsp. Ground walnut shells

1/16 tsp. Xantham gum

1 tbs. Water

In food processor add soap, ground walnut shells, xanthum gum and blend. Add water until consistent to pour into mold.

The pad 12 is oval in shape and is thicker on the right side and left side and where fastening device.

A product for cleaning the toilet bowl surface. It includes walnut shells to be used as the abrasive and odor absorber. The pad 12 is shaped to easily clean under the rim and ubend of the toilet bowl.

The abrasion, walnut shells, is mixed into the soap mixture allowing abrasion throughout the entire cleaning process.

This product will start to dissolve when forced is applied and emerged into water.

This product can be used for industrial and domestic uses.

To scrub a toilet bowl clean using bio-degradable materials that will not hurt plumbing pipes. This scrubber will disinfect killing germs and bacteria from the toilet and dissolves when pressure is applied while emerged into water.

Claims

1. A toilet bowl scrubber comprising: a handle; a pad; said handle having a shape that is convenient to fit the users' hand; said pad having soap and scrubbing materials bonded therein; wherein said soap and scrubbing materials consist of; 1 cup Soap/Cleaning Agent (Lineal Anionic Surfactant), Water Softener (Aluminosukucates and Silicate), Soil Suspenending Agent (C.M.C.), Optical Brightener and Perfume, 1 tsp. Ground walnut shells, 1/16 tsp. Xantham gum, and 1 tbs. Water; and said pad being made of materials that will dissolve in water during use so as to lessen disposal of wastes.

2. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said pad contains a chemical composition.

3. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said pad contains walnut shells as an abrasive that is mixed into the soap composition.

4. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said handle has an easy grip handle.

5. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said pad will start to dissolve when pressure is applied and emerged into water leaving only the handle to easily store.

6. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said pad is thicker on the right side and left side as compared to the center of the pad to hug around the rim.

7. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said pad is thicker with soap composition where it is attached to the handle as compared to the center of the pad.

8. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said handle has an opening at the top of the handle so it can be conveniently stored.

9. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said handle contours to the shape of the inside of a toilet bowl.

10. A toilet bowl scrubber according to claim 1 wherein said handle has a long reach that will allow to clean down and around an ubend in the toilet.

11. A method of using a toilet bowl scrubber comprising the steps of: making a soap and scrubbing material consisting of; 1 cup Soap/Cleaning Agent (Lineal Anionic Surfactant), Water Softener (Aluminosukucates and Silicate), Soil Suspenending Agent (C.M.C.), Optical Brightener and Perfume, 1 tsp. Ground walnut
