Pre-Assembled Hygiene Kit

Abstract

A pre-assembled toiletries kit provides a convenient hygiene package for traveling or for other one-time use. A container encloses a plurality of travel-sized toiletries including bath soap, a razor, a toothbrush, a toothpaste tube, a container of shampoo, a container of conditioner, and a towel.

The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 61/932,445 filed on Jan. 28, 2014.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally hygiene. More specifically, the present invention is a hygiene kit.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Travelers often do not think to take everything they require while using a public shower. Getting all items necessary may require going through multiple isles, or even visiting multiple stores.

The present invention fixes this problem by combining all the items necessary for showering in one convenient kit. This can be purchased quickly and without the need to search for each individual item.

The present invention is to be described in detail and is provided in a manner that establishes a thorough understanding of the present invention. There may be aspects of the present invention that may be practiced without the implementation of some features as they are described. It should be understood that some details have not been described in detail in order to not unnecessarily obscure focus of the invention.

The present invention provides a conveniently bundled collection of items for maintaining personal hygiene, and specifically for bathing. The present invention is intended for use as a one-time or single use kit, though it is possible some items included in the present invention to be utilized more than once. The present invention is particularly useful for use by individuals who are traveling or otherwise in a location where they do not have direct access to the necessary items, such as a public bathroom. This invention is a substantial improvement for consumers, providing bathroom or shower supplies in one package rather than having to individually collect the supplies from various stores, isles or other separate locations. A person using the kit of the present invention may use a public bathroom or another wash room that is not adequately stocked with hygiene supplies by bringing the kit into the bathroom with them.

The preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a container 1 and a plurality of toiletries 2, which may also be known as hygiene items.

In the preferred embodiment, the plurality of toiletries 2 comprises, but is not limited to, a razor 21, a toothbrush 22, a toothpaste tube 23, a container of shampoo 24, a container of conditioner 25, and a towel 26. Additional toiletries that may be included in the plurality of toiletries 2 are a shower cap 27, a container of lotion 28, bath soap or body wash, a container of shaving cream, one or more cotton balls, one or more cotton swabs, one or more paper tissues, one or more paper towels, a container of contact lens solution, a comb, a hairbrush, a package of tooth floss, a fingernail file, or fingernail clippers. Each of the plurality of toiletries 2 should not take up a significant amount of space, and be of a “travel size” variety. The containers of the container of shampoo 24, the container of conditioner 25, and the container of lotion 28 may take the form of plastic bottles, or said containers may take the form of sachets similar to those utilized for single serving condiment packets.

In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the container 1 of the present invention is preferably rigid, rectangular and cuboidal in shape, and made of polypropylene. However any other useful, aesthetically pleasing or otherwise appropriate shape or material may be utilized if desired in alternate embodiments. For example, in another embodiment the container 1 is made from polyethylene terephthalate, or PET.

In one alternate embodiment, the contained may be made from a flexible material such as, but not limited to, cloth, leather, a flexible synthetic material, or another material. In this embodiment, the container 1 is a pouch, satchel, or another type of bag. Additionally, in this embodiment, the container 1 may comprise a zipper or drawstring in order to close the container 1.

In the preferred embodiment comprising a rigid container 1, the container 1 comprises a top portion 11 and a bottom portion 12. Preferably, the top portion 11 and the bottom portion 12 are connected to each other by a hinge 13, so that the top portion 11 functions as a lid. Additionally, the container 1 preferably comprises a latch 14 which is externally positioned on the container 1 in order to temporarily lock the top portion 11 and the bottom portion 12 together in a closed position. The latch 14 preferably comprises a first latch half 141 and a second latch half 142. The first latch half 141 of the latch 14 is connected to the perimeter of the top portion 11, and the second latch half 142 of the latch 14 is connected to perimeter of the bottom portion 12. The first latch half 141 and the second latch half 142 are removably engaged with each other in order to affix the top portion 11 and the bottom portion 12 of the container 1 in the closed position. The latch 14 of the present invention is preferably a snap latch 14. Though the aforementioned latch 14 is the preferred embodiment, alternate fastening means may be comprised in alternate embodiments of the present invention. Any alternate fasteners or fastening means may be utilized as desired, such as, but not limited to, a sliding latch 14, a hook, or another fastener type.

In an embodiment where the container 1 is made of PET, the container 1 comprises snap fastener comprising a male snap portion and a female snap portion. The male snap portion and the female snap portion and positioned opposite each other across an opening of the container, wherein the snap fastener may be engaged in order to close the container.

Additionally, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the container 1 comprises a plurality of compartments 15 for holding the plurality of toiletries 2. Preferably, each of the plurality of toiletries 2 is positioned within one of the plurality of compartments 15. Each of the plurality of compartments 15 are internally positioned within the contained, and are distributed adjacently to each other within the container 1. In one embodiment, the plurality of compartments 15 comprises a credit card holder. The plurality of compartments 15 are preferably shaped and sized in order to accommodate the various shapes and sizes of the plurality of toiletries 2. It is contemplated that the container 1 may additionally comprise one or more external compartments which may be accessed without needing to disengage the latch 14 and open the container 1. Additional pouches, slots, straps or other restraints may also be utilized in addition to the plurality of compartments 15 for holding some of the plurality of toiletries 2.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

1. A pre-assembled toiletries kit comprises:

a container;

a plurality of toiletries;

the plurality of toiletries being enclosed within the container; and

the plurality of toiletries comprises a razor, a toothbrush, a toothpaste tube, a container of shampoo, a container of conditioner, and a towel.

2. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of toiletries further comprises a shower cap.

3. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of toiletries further comprises a container of lotion.

4. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the container is rigid.

5. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the container is rectangular in shape.

6. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the material of the container is polypropylene.

7. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the material of the container is polyethylene terephthalate.

8. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the container is made from a flexible material.

9. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 7, wherein the container is a pouch.

10. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the container comprises a top portion and a bottom portion; and

the top portion and the bottom portion being connected to each other by a hinge.

11. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the container comprises a latch; and

the latch being externally positioned on the container, wherein the latch locks a top portion and a bottom portion of the container together in a closed position.

12. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 10 comprises:

the latch comprises a first latch half and a second latch half;

the first latch half being connected to the top portion; and

the first latch half and the second latch half being removably engaged withto each other.

13. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 7 comprises:

the container comprises a snap fastener;

the snap fastener comprises a male snap portion and a female snap portion;

the male snap portion and the female snap portion being positioned opposite each other across an opening of the container;

the male snap portion and the female snap portion being removably engaged with each other, wherein the snap fastener may be engaged in order to close the container;

14. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 1 comprises:

the container comprises a plurality of compartments; and

the plurality of compartments being internally positioned within the container.

15. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 12 comprises:

the plurality of compartments being distributed adjacently to each other within the container.

16. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 12 comprises:

each of the plurality of toiletries being positioned within one of the plurality of compartments.

17. The pre-assembled toiletries kit as claimed in claim 12 comprises:

the plurality of compartments comprises a credit card holder.
