MODULAR APPAREL SYSTEM AND A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZING APPARELS

The embodiments herein provide a modular adjustable apparel system. The modular apparel system comprises a pre-tailored main garment with a plurality of segments and a plurality of attachments. The plurality of segments are removably attached to the main garment through a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of the segments are replaced with the plurality of attachments. The plurality of attachments are fixed to the plurality of the segments in the main garment through a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of the attachments are selected based on a user preferences. The plurality of attachments are selected from a group consisting of sleeves, collars, laces, front part of the apparel, rear part of the apparel, lace for the apparel, accessories for the apparel, and fasteners of the apparel. The user preference is any one of a design, pattern, color, texture, fabric of the plurality of attachments.

BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The embodiments herein are generally related apparels. The embodiments herein are particularly related to a modular apparel system. The embodiments herein are more particularly related to a system and method for customizing or personalizing modular apparels based on a user need or requirement.

2. Description of the Related Art

Apparel typically includes a variety of clothing such as shirts, trousers, skirts, capris, and the like. There are a wide range of apparels available in the market, which caters users with a wide range of shapes, sizes, textures, designs, and the like.

The conventional apparels provide limited scope or no scope for personalization of the same apparel. In the conventional apparel personalization system, the apparels are modified permanently by trimming the parts that are not used, and stitching the required parts to satisfy the user's need. However, a modification of the apparel using the said conventional method based on the users' changing preferences is difficult. Further, the users have to buy different apparels for different occasions (Casuals, Formals, loungewear, and the like). The conventional apparels do not allow a conversion of the same apparel to other apparels that are suitable for different occasions.

Hence, there is a need for a modular apparel system provided with facility or option to modify the apparel continuously based on a user preferences. There is further a need for an apparel that is convertible and suitable for various occasions, without major modifications. Still further, there is a need for a modular apparel system that has the option to customize, personalize and replace each part of the apparel based on the user preferences. Yet there is a need for a system and method to customize and personalize an apparel based on the user preferences.

The above-mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein and which will be understood by reading and studying the following specification.

OBJECTS OF THE EMBODIMENTS HEREIN

The primary object of the embodiments herein is to provide modular adjustable apparels that are customizable based on the user preferences.

Another object of the embodiment herein is to provide modular adjustable apparels having a plurality of attachments.

Yet another object of the embodiments herein is to provide modular adjustable apparels that have an option to replace individual parts of the apparel.

Yet another object of the embodiments herein is to provide a system and method to customize or personalize an apparel based on user preferences or needs or occasions.

These and other objects and advantages of the embodiments herein will become readily apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY

The embodiments herein provide a modular adjustable apparel system. The modular apparel system comprises a pre-tailored main garment with a plurality of segments and a plurality of attachments. The plurality of segments are removably attached to the main garment through a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of the segments are replaced with the plurality of attachments. The plurality of attachments are fixed to the plurality of the segments in the main garment through a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of the attachments are selected based on a user preferences.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of segments are attached to the appropriate segments of the pre-tailored main garment.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of attachments are attached to the pre-tailored main garment to form a modular apparel.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of fasteners are attached to one of the pre-tailored main garment and the attachments.

According to an embodiment herein, the pre-tailored main garment is flexible and adjustable.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of attachments are flexible and adjustable.

According to an embodiment herein, the pre-tailored main garment and the plurality of attachments are combined temporarily.

According to an embodiment herein, the fasteners are selected from a group consisting of buttons, hooks, Velcro, straps, zips, adhesives, and temporary stitches.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of attachments are selected from a group consisting of sleeves, collars, laces, front part of the apparel, rear part of the apparel, lace for the apparel, accessories for the apparel, and fasteners of the apparel.

According to an embodiment herein, the user preference is any one of a design, pattern, color, texture, fabric of the plurality of attachments.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of segments are selected from a group consisting of a front top portion, a front bottom portion, a back top portion, a back bottom portion, a right side top portion, a left side top portion, a right side bottom portion, a left side bottom portion, a right side front top portion, a left side front top portion, a right side front bottom portion, a left side front bottom portion, a right side back top portion, a left side back top portion, a right side back bottom portion, and a left side back bottom portion.

According to one embodiment herein, a fastener segment comprises a plurality of fasteners and the plurality of fasteners is arranged in a separated manner in the fastener segment. The plurality of fasteners provided in the same fastener segment are same.

According to one embodiment herein, the plurality of fasteners provided in the same fastener segment are mutually different.

These and other aspects of the embodiments herein will be better appreciated and understood when considered in conjunction with the following description and the accompanying drawings. It should be understood, however, that the following descriptions, while indicating the preferred embodiments and numerous specific details thereof, are given by way of illustration and not of limitation. Many changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the embodiments herein without departing from the spirit thereof, and the embodiments herein include all such modifications.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The embodiments herein provide a modular adjustable apparel system. The modular apparel system comprises a pre-tailored main garment with a plurality of segments and a plurality of attachments. The plurality of segments are removably attached to the main garment through a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of the segments are replaced with the plurality of attachments. The plurality of attachments are fixed to the plurality of the segments in the main garment through a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of the attachments are selected based on a user preferences.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of attachments are attached to the appropriate segments of the pre-tailored main garment.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of attachments are attached to the pre-tailored main garment to form a modular apparel.

The various embodiments herein provide modular adjustable apparels. According to an embodiment herein, a modular adjustable apparel is an apparel made up of a combination of a plurality of attachments. The plurality of attachments are fastened to each other using a plurality of fasteners. According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of attachments are fastened in a pre-determined fashion.

FIG. 1 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. With respect to FIG. 1, the modular garment comprises the right side top wear attachment 102, the left side top wear attachment 104, the right side bottom wear attachment 106, and the left side bottom wear attachment 108. The right side top wear attachment 102, the left side top wear attachment 104, the right side bottom wear attachment 106, and the left side bottom wear attachment 108 are combined together to form the modular apparel 110.

According to an embodiment herein, the top wear attachment 102 and the top wear attachment 104 are of same size, shape, texture, and design. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear attachment 102 and the top wear attachment 104 are of different sizes, shapes, textures, and designs. The top wear attachment 102 and the top wear attachment 104 are combined together to from a top wear using a plurality of standard fasteners (not shown in figure). The examples of the fasteners include, but are not limited to zips, buttons, Velcro, hooks, buttons, bow ties, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the fasteners are permanently attached with the top wear attachment 102, the top wear attachment 104, the bottom wear attachment 106, and the bottom wear attachment 108.

FIG. 2 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of the sleeves of a top wear 202 in a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. With respect to FIG. 2, the top wear 202 is attached with a plurality of modular sleeves to provide a different look and feel for the top wear 202. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 is combined with the modular short sleeves 204 to form the top wear 206. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 is combined with the long layered sleeve 208 to form the top wear 210. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 is combined with the Happy sleeves 212 to form the top wear 214. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 is combined with the boot-cut sleeves 216 to form the top wear 218. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 is combined with the stylish sleeves 220 to form the top wear 222.

According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 and the plurality of modular sleeves are of same size, type, color, texture and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 202 and the plurality of modular sleeves are of different sizes, colors, textures, designs, and the like.

FIG. 3 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of the collar of a top wear in a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 302 is combined with a plurality of collars to obtain different designs. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 302 is combined with the collar 304 to form the top wear 306. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 302 is combined with the collar 308 to form the top wear 310. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 302 is combined with the collar 312 to form the top wear 314.

According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 302 and the plurality of collars are made up of same type of material. According to an embodiment herein, the top wear 302 and the plurality of collars are made up of different types of material.

FIG. 4 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of a bottom wear in a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom 402 and the left side attachment of bottom wear 404 are combined to form the bottom wear 406. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom 402 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 404 are of same size, material, texture, length and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom 402 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 404 are of different size, material, texture, length and the like.

Similarly, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 408 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 410 are combined to form the bottom wear 412. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom 408 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 410 are of same size, material, texture, length and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom 408 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 410 are of different size, material, texture, length and the like.

According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 414 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 416 are combined to form the bottom wear 418. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 414 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 416 are of different sizes, shape, color, texture and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 414 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 416 are of different sizes and length, but have same color, texture, and the like.

According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 420 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 422 are combined to form the bottom wear 424. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 420 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 422 are of different sizes, shape, color, texture and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment of the bottom wear 420 and the left side attachment of the bottom wear 422 are of different sizes and length, but have same color, texture, and the like.

FIG. 5 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of a brassier, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment 502 and the left side attachment 504 are combined to form a brassier 506. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment 502 and the left side attachment 504 are of same size, color, texture, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment 502 and the left side attachment 504 are of different sizes, colors, textures, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the right side attachment 502 and the left side attachment 504 are combined using standard fasteners such as zips, hooks, buttons, straps, Velcro, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the each of the modular attachments are based on user's needs and preferences.

FIG. 6 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of a front side and a back side part of a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the front side modular part 602 and the back side modular part 604 of an apparel are combined to form the apparel 606. According to an embodiment herein, the front side modular part 602 and the back side modular part 604 are combined using a plurality of fasteners such as zips, hooks, buttons, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the front side modular part 602 and the back side modular part 604 are of same size, shape, length, color, texture, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, the front side modular part 602 and the back side modular part 604 are of different sizes, shapes, lengths, colors, textures, and the like.

FIG. 7 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of a front part of a top wear in a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the right side modular attachment 702, and the left side modular attachment 704 are combined to form the front side of the top wear 708. According to an embodiment herein, the right side modular attachment 702 and the left side modular attachment 704 are combined using standard fasteners such as zips, buttons, hooks, Velcro, and the like.

With respect to FIG. 7, the left side modular attachment 704 is replaced with another left side modular attachment 712 and combined with the right side modular attachment 702 to form a different top wear 714. According to an embodiment herein, each of the modular attachments are of same shape, size, length, texture, and the like. According to an embodiment herein, each of the modular attachments are of different shape, size, length, texture, and the like.

FIG. 8 illustrates an exploded assembly view and an assembled view of a modular apparel, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the modular apparel 808 is formed by combining the right side modular attachment 802, the left side bottom part modular attachment 804, and the left side top part modular attachment 806. According to an embodiment herein, the modular attachments are combined using a plurality of fasteners such as zips, hooks, buttons, and the like.

FIG. 9a-FIG. 9c illustrates a plurality types of fasteners used for combining a plurality of modular attachments, according to an embodiment herein. The FIG. 9a illustrates a zip for combining two modular attachments. According to an embodiment herein, the zip is permanently attached to one of the modular attachments. According to an embodiment herein, the zip is temporarily attached to the one of the modular attachments. According to an embodiment herein, the zip is permanently attached to one of the modular attachments.

FIG. 9b illustrates a tie strap for combining two modular attachments. According to an embodiment herein, the tie strap is permanently attached to one of the modular attachments. According to an embodiment herein, the tie strap is temporarily attached for one of the modular attachments.

FIG. 9c illustrates a plurality of buttons used for combining two attachments of modular apparels. According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of buttons are attached temporarily to one of the modular attachments. According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of buttons are permanently attached to one of the modular attachments.

FIG. 10 illustrates a plurality of zones in a retail store or modular apparel sales system for buying a segment of an apparel with respect to plurality of seasons, according to an embodiment herein.

According to an embodiment herein, the stores which sell the modular apparels are provided with an option to divide the store into a plurality of zones. According to an embodiment herein, each zone is assigned with a zone identifier. The examples of the zone identifiers include, but are not limited to names, colors, textures, types of the apparel, and the like.

According to an embodiment herein, the plurality of segments of the modular apparel supplied/provided in the plurality of zones are mutually different with respect to a design, a color, and a material etc. However, the position and a method of connecting of the plurality of segments to the modular apparel in a zone are same.

According to an embodiment herein, the position and the method of connecting a plurality of segments of the modular apparel are fixed and are not changed during different seasons. Therefore, a plurality of segments of a modular apparel in a zone are connected to each other and are connected to the segments of the modular apparel supplied in the all the seasons.

For example, when a person buys a plurality of segments of a shirt in summer 2014 from zone-one, the zone system enables the user to buy the same segment of the clothes from zone-one in another season such as winter 2015 or summer 2016 for attaching with the clothes bought in summer 2014 to change the appearance of the clothes.

The zone system is designed and classified in such a manner that the segments of a cloth supplied in one Zone, are not only connected to each other easily, but are also designed for connecting with the clothes supplied in a given season in a previous year and or with the clothes to be supplied in future seasons in the succeeding years.

For example, when a person buys a plurality of segments of a shirt in summer 2014 from Zone-1, then the zone classification system enables the person to buy the same segment of a shirt from the same zone in all other seasons (for example winter 2016) for changing the appearance of his clothes.

FIG. 11 illustrates an exploded view of a plurality of segments of modular apparel selected from a particular zone for changing the appearance of the apparel, according to an embodiment herein. According to an embodiment herein, the segment 1002 is a front side segment of a modular apparel. A plurality of top portions for attaching with the segment 1002 are provided in zone A. The plurality of top portions includes a top portion without sleeve 1004, the top portion with sleeve 1006, and the sleeveless top portion with a different style 1008 that are sold in the Zone A in a plurality of seasons such as summer, winter, autumn and rainy seasons. According to an embodiment herein, top portion without sleeve 1004, the top portion with sleeve 1006, and the sleeveless top portion with a different style 1008 that are sold in a plurality of seasons such as summer, winter, autumn and rainy seasons. The customers are provided with an option to buy a plurality of sleeve segments for changing the appearance of the modular apparel.

Further, a fastener segment includes a fastener 1010 such as buttons and another fastener 1012 such as a zipper that are available in the Zone A. The fastener also includes zipper fasteners 1012 and 1014 arranged in a separated manner.

According to one embodiment herein, a fastener segment is provided with a plurality of fastening means in a same fastener segment. According to one embodiment herein, the plurality of fasteners are provided at a top portion and at a bottom portion. The plurality of fasteners provided in the same fastener segment is arranged in a separated manner. The plurality of fasteners is selected from a group consisting of a buttons, hooks, zipper, threads for knots, etc. According to one embodiment herein, the front side portions of a modular apparels and the back side portions of the modular apparel are connected through mutually different fasteners.

The present invention provides a modular adjustable apparels having a plurality of attachments.

The present invention provides an option to individuals to have personalized fashion sense.

The present invention provides an option to individuals to replace only the required attachments, instead of the whole apparel.

The foregoing description of the specific embodiments will so fully reveal the general nature of the embodiments herein that others can, by applying current knowledge, readily modify and/or adapt for various applications such specific embodiments without departing from the generic concept, and, therefore, such adaptations and modifications should and are intended to be comprehended within the meaning and range of equivalents of the disclosed embodiments. Therefore, while the embodiments herein have been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the embodiments herein can be practiced with modification within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

Although the embodiments herein are described with various specific embodiments, it will be obvious for a person skilled in the art to practice the invention with modifications. However, all such modifications are deemed to be within the scope of the claims.

Claims

1. A modular apparel comprising:

a pre-tailored main garment having a plurality of segments;
a plurality of attachments attached to the plurality of segments in the pre-tailored main garment, wherein the plurality of attachments are attached to the respective plurality of segments of the pre-tailored main garment, and wherein the plurality of attachments are attached to the pre-tailored main garment to form a modular apparel, and wherein the plurality of the attachments are selected based on a user preferences.
a plurality of fasteners for combining the pre-tailored main garment and the plurality of attachments, and wherein the plurality of fasteners are attached to any one of the pre-tailored main garment and the plurality of attachments.

2. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the pre-tailored main garment is flexible and adjustable.

3. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of attachments are flexible and adjustable.

4. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the pre-tailored main garment and the plurality of attachments are combined temporarily.

5. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the fasteners are selected from a group consisting of buttons, hooks, Velcro, straps, zips, adhesives, and temporary stitches.

6. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of attachments are selected from a group consisting of sleeves, collars, laces, front part of the apparel, rear part of the apparel, lace for the apparel, accessories for the apparel, and fasteners of the apparel.

The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of segments are selected from a group consisting of a front top portion, a front bottom portion, a back top portion, a back bottom portion, a right side top portion, a left side top portion, a right side bottom portion, a left side bottom portion, a right side front top portion, a left side front top portion, a right side front bottom portion, a left side front bottom portion, a right side back top portion, a left side back top portion, a right side back bottom portion, and a left side back bottom portion.

8. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the user preference is any one of a design, pattern, color, texture, fabric of the plurality of attachments.

9. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein a fastener segment comprises a plurality of fasteners, and wherein the plurality of fasteners is arranged in a separated manner in the fastener segment, and wherein the plurality of fasteners provided in the same fastener segment are same.

10. The modular apparel according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of fasteners provided in the same fastener segment are mutually different.
