A control storage assembly for retain the control in an accessible location and keep the control sterile includes a pouch structured to contain a control to prevent the control from being contaminated with bacteria. Each of a plurality of straps is coupled to the pouch to engage a bed and retain the pouch on the bed. The straps retain the control at a location that is accessible to an individual in the bed.

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE Field of the Disclosure

The disclosure relates to storage devices and more particularly pertains to a new storage device for retaining a control in an accessible location while keeping the control from coming into contact with contaminants.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a pouch structured to contain a control to prevent the control from being contaminated with bacteria. Each of a plurality of straps is coupled to the pouch to engage a bed and retain the pouch on the bed. The straps retain the control at a location that is accessible to an individual in the bed.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new storage device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the control storage assembly 10 generally comprises a pouch 12. The pouch 12 comprises a back 14 that has a front side 16 and a rear side 18. The back 14 is elongated. The pouch 12 further comprises a panel 20. The panel 20 has a first oblique edge 26 and a second oblique edge 28. Each of the first oblique edge 26 and the second oblique edge 28 is coupled to the front side 16 of the back 14. The first oblique edge 26 and the second oblique edge 28 are each positioned adjacent to an associated one of a first lateral edge 30 and a second lateral edge 32 of the back 14.

The panel 20 curves away from the back 14 between each of the first oblique edge 26 and the second oblique edge 28 to define a storage space 34 in the pouch 12. The storage space 34 insertably receives a control 36 such that each of a plurality of actuators 38 on the control 36 abuts the panel 20. The panel 20 prevents the control 36 from being contaminated with bacteria. The panel 20 is comprised of a translucent material such that each of the actuators 38 on the control 36 is visible to an individual. The pouch 12 is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to prevent the control 36 from being contaminated with bacteria. The control 36 may be a nurse call control or the like. The assembly 10 may be utilized in a medical environment.

A plurality of straps 40 is provided. Each of the straps 40 has a respective first end 42 and a respective second end 44. The straps 40 comprise a first set of the straps 46 and a second set of the straps 48. The first end 42 of each of the first set of the straps 46 and each of the second set of straps 48 is coupled the rear side 18 of the back 14.

The first set of straps 46 and the second set of straps 48 each extend away from opposite ends of the back 14. Each of the straps 46 engages a rail 50 on a bed 52 to retain the pouch 12 on the bed 52. The straps 46 retain the control 36 at a location is accessible to an individual in the bed 52. The bed 52 may be a hospital bed or the like.

Each of a pair of first couplers 54 is coupled to an associated one of the first set of straps 46 and is positioned proximate the respective second end 44 of the first set of straps 46. Each of a pair of second couplers 56 is each coupled to an associated one of the second set of straps 48 and is positioned proximate the respective second end 44 of the second set of straps 48. The first couplers 54 and the second couplers 56 are complementary. Additionally, each of the first couplers 54 and the second couplers 56 may be hook and loop fasteners.

In use, the assembly 10 is positioned on the bed 52 to be accessible to the individual in the bed 52. The individual utilizes the control 36 in the convention of a nurse call or other similar medical application. The assembly 10 promotes a sterile environment regarding the actuators 38 on the control 36.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. A control storage assembly comprising:

a pouch structured to contain a control, said pouch being comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein said pouch is configured to prevent the control from being contaminated with bacteria; and
each of a plurality of straps being coupled to said pouch wherein each of said straps is configured to engage a bed to retain said pouch on the bed, said straps being configured to retain the control at a location being accessible to an individual in the bed.

2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said pouch comprising a back having a front side and a rear side, said back being elongated, a panel having a first oblique edge and a second oblique edge, each of said first oblique edge and said second oblique edge being coupled to said front side of said back, said first oblique edge and said second oblique edge each being positioned adjacent to an associated one of a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge of said back to define a storage space in said pouch.

The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said storage space insertably receiving the control such that each of a plurality of actuators on the control abut said panel, said panel being comprised of a translucent material such that each of the actuators on the control are visible to the individual.

The assembly according to claim 2, wherein each of said straps having a respective first end and a respective second end, said straps comprising a first set of said straps and a second set of said straps, said first end of each of said first set of said straps and each of said second set of straps being coupled said rear side of said back such that said first set of said straps and said second set of straps each extends away from opposite ends of said back.

5. The assembly according to claim 4, further comprising a pair of first couplers, each of said first couplers being coupled to an associated one of said first set of straps and being positioned proximate said respective second end of said first set of straps.

6. The assembly according to claim 5, further comprising a pair of second couplers, each of said second couplers being coupled to an associated one of said second set of straps and being positioned proximate said respective second end of said second set of straps, said first and second couplers being complementary.

7. A control storage assembly comprising:

a pouch structured to contain a control, said pouch being comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein said pouch is configured to prevent the control from being contaminated with bacteria, said pouch comprising;
a back having a front side and a rear side, said back being elongated;
a panel having a first oblique edge and a second oblique edge, each of said first oblique edge and said second oblique edge being coupled to said front side of said back, said first oblique edge and said second oblique edge each being positioned adjacent to an associated one of a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge of said back to define a storage space in said pouch;
said storage space insertably receiving a control such that each of a plurality of actuators on the control abut said panel wherein said pouch is configured to prevent the control from being contaminated with bacteria, said panel being comprised of a translucent material such that each of the actuators on the control are visible to the individual,
a plurality of straps, each of said straps having a respective first end and a respective second end, said straps comprising a first set of said straps and a second set of said straps, said first end of each of said first set of said straps and each of said second set of straps being coupled said rear side of said back such that said first set of said straps and said second set of straps each extends away from opposite ends of said back wherein each of said straps is configured to engage a bed to retain said pouch on the bed, said straps being configured to retain the control at a location being accessible to an individual in the bed;
a pair of first couplers, each of said first couplers being coupled to an associated one of said first set of straps and being positioned proximate said respective second end of said first set of straps; and
a pair of second couplers, each of said second couplers being coupled to an associated one of said second set of straps and being positioned proximate said respective second end of said second set of straps, said first and second couplers being complementary.
