Description
BACKGROUND

The present invention relates, in general, to an attaching device for a partial wig, which is configured to enable a user to simply attach or detach a partial wig applied to his or her hair, namely, hair extensions, to or from his or her original hair as needed.

Generally, a wig is an artificial covering of hair for most or all of the head and is worn to conceal baldness by a person who has lost part or all of his or her own hair. However, a wig has also been recently used as a personal fashion adornment for showing a user's unique personality or fashion sense. Such wigs may be divided into a home-made wig and a stuffed wig according to whether artificial hair wefts are manually implanted into a cap or are implanted using a sewing machine. Wigs may be also be further divided into a full wig intended for covering all of the head and a partial wig intended for covering only a part having hair loss. Since the present invention is focused on an attaching device for a partial wig or a fashion wig, the conventional arts will be hereinafter described based on the partial wig. In particular, it is recently fashionable to make a user's hair seem long by attaching artificial hair extensions in a predetermined length to his or her original hair. In the past, a method of individually attaching the hair extensions to the original hair using an adhesive, silicone and the like was used. However, when such a method is used, the user's original hair is damaged and it is difficult for the user go to a sauna or swimming pool because the hair extensions are vulnerable to heat. Furthermore, separating the hair extensions from the user's original hair is time consuming and requires much effort and technology. Therefore, needed is a process for easily removing the silicone and the like to remove such hair extensions. In order to solve such a problem, another conventional method of using hair extensions is known. For example, though not illustrated in a separate drawing, used is a method of positioning a metal ring at a joint portion between a user's original hair and the hair extensions and then attaching the hair extensions to the original hair by compressing the metal ring with a device (pliers and the like). However, in the case of such a conventional method of using the hair extensions, since the original hair and the hair extensions are attached and fixed to each other using merely the metal ring, the connection structure thereof is not strong and the hair extensions can be easily detached from the original hair. Furthermore, since the method is performed in such a manner as to individually put strands of hair into the metal fixing ring and to tighten the metal fixing ring with a separate device, it is inconvenient and much time for attaching the hair extensions to the original hair is needed. Meanwhile, another hair extension attaching device in the form of a hair pin instead of the form of a fixing ring configured for enabling hair extensions to be attachable to or detachable from a user's original hair is also known. However, such a hair pin is problematic in that the attaching device is easily separated from the user's original hair because the adhesive power (attaching force) to the original hair is weak. Accordingly, in order to solve such a problem generated upon using existing hair extensions, the applicant of the present invention has suggested in the present invention an improved device for hair extensions. Examples of the prior documents are Korean Utility Model Laid-Open Publication No. 2008-0003599, Korean Utility Model No. 424659, Korean Utility Model No. 352702, Korean Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2008-0098974 and the like.
