DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a handbag that includes a hidden hook attachment for use to assist in the hanging of the bag. The present invention provides an effective and efficient handbag design for consumer use. The handbag design according to the present invention includes a strap that may be varied in length but uniquely includes pockets or enclosures that provide placement of hook enclosures that enable the user to hang the bag from a stationary object. Many users of handbags must eventually place the bag down. One feature of the present invention includes a hook that provides a means to hang the bag when not in use.

In reference to FIG. 1 a front view of a handbag 100 is a depicted. The handbag 100 includes a body portion of 40 that has a strap 50 attached thereto. Support bars 42a, 42b each support the attachment of strap 50 to each side of the body portion 40. Decorative buckles 41a, 41b are provided for each respective support bar 42a, 42b. Extending from the support bars is the strap 50. The strap 50 includes a hook enclosure 54 that encloses and contains a hook attachment that allows for the hanging of the bag 100 from a stationary object. At the top of the body portion 40 is a rod 52 that extends from each end of the bag 100. The rod 52 provides further support of the material used to create the body portion 40.

FIG. 2 depicts a side view of the bag 100 in accordance with the present invention. As shown the strap 50 extends from one side of the body portion 40 to the opposing side of the body portion 40. Each end of the strap 50 is attached to a buckle 41 as shown in FIG. 2. Further the side view of the body portion 40 includes a decorative or spiritual emblem 45. The spiritual emblem 45 in this particular embodiment is shown as a cross but may be used for other spiritual emblems suitable for placement on the side of the body portion 40. Further end points for the rod 52 are also shown on each respective side of the body portion 40.

FIG. 3 provides a sectional view of each hook enclosure 54. The hook enclosures 54 include an inner pocket 56. Within each inner pocket 56 is a hook 60 that is removable and useful for placement of an object to hang the bag. An extended view of the hook 60 is depicted at FIG. 4. As shown in FIG. 4 the hook 60 includes a side bar 12a attached to a hinge 10a that connects to a top bar 12b and a hinge 10b on the other side of the top bar 12b. Extended downwardly from the hinge 10b is a second side bar 12c. This arrangement creates a hooking configuration so that the hook 60 may be easily placed over a door 15 as show in FIG. 4. Use of this hook 60 is not exclusive to doors and therefore these hooks 60 may be placed on other stationary objects that allow for the hanging of the purse bag 100 in accordance with the present invention. The present invention provides a handbag that is effective and practical for use for any consumer. The handbag is designed for a cost-effective alternative for a woman's accessory. Further the handbag includes the hook enclosures to assist in the placement of the bag when not in use. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.
